Cottage vacation rentals in Union Pier

We absolutely loved our stay at “the dump”and rate this a 4.8! Photos do not do this place justice, it’s incredibly well maintained and perfectly beach themed with modern touches. The kitchen is updated and had everything we needed, including toddler friendly cups, bowls, plates (which was a bonus). Couch, kitchen chairs, pillows and beds were comfortable. Beach area is absolutely incredible, very large and there are shells which our toddler loved collecting. What would make this a 5 star: umbrella or shade structure for the beach when needed (it was super hot during our stay), deep cleaning of all cob webs under and around furniture, filters for coffee machine, dishwasher pods, laundry pods/detergent, luggage stands, hooks everywhere for clothes, bathing suits, towels, etc., filtered water brita or similar. Overall an amazing long weekend spent on the beach, we even added an additional day to our stay and it was super easy. Thank you so much; we will be back!!

Great spot to stay for a Notre Dame game.

Nicole was a great host. My family and I wanted an end of summer trip and this was perfect! The house was as described and as it looks in the photos. We took the boat out each day fishing. We also took the kayaks out for a bit. With a bit of rainy weather we played games. Nicole has a wide variety of games to chose from with any unfortunate weather. When reaching out to Nicole she answered very quick with great recommendations.

My friends and I stayed for the weekend for a birthday getaway and loved it! Trevor's place was just as described and felt so cozy. The location was perfect! We enjoyed early morning walks around the neighborhood and by the lake, as well as sitting out on the porch and by the fire pit. We were so close to town where there are so many lovely restaurants and shops. Trevor provided recommendations for a few places that we did end up checking out and they were amazing! The Terrace Room, Bentwood Tavern, and Shady Creek Winery were a huge hit with my friends and I. I couldn't recommend this area and this house more for a wonderful weekend getaway or for a longer stay as well. Trevor was super friendly and responsive to all of my questions, even late into the night. Overall, great stay!

At first I thought the place would be cold, but having a heater/wall mount heater in each room really made the place pretty warm. Very clean and the water does not have a sulfuric smell from well water. Really A big difference in the qualities of life.

Seven of us (3 adults and 4 teens- ages 12-18) enjoyed our stay over Labor Day weekend! Melissa stocked the house with games (indoor and outdoor!), linens, everything you’d need in a kitchen, and even firewood for the fire pit! We were delighted to find 4 kayaks with every size life vest we could possibly need in the garage. And the kids LOVED having a bunkhouse to themselves. We spent the weekend fishing, playing games, cooking, and enjoying a private channel off the lake. It was ideal! Melissa responded incredibly quickly and was kind and thoughtful from start to finish.

Perfect home for a long weekend that included a Notre Dame football game. The home had plenty of space for two couples and the kitchen is beautifully updated. The house is exactly like the photos and even better in person. Lovely large yard, plenty of seating out by the lake, kayaks for use, a firepit; a great vacation home. Bonus on an ND football weekend: much less traffic coming from north of campus, easy drive getting in and out of campus.

Booked the A unit with friends for a wedding hosted at Lakeside Inn .02 miles away.. The kitchen was great, furniture comfy. Steep stairs so may be hard for older folks, but there are two bedrooms on 1st floor. We did not use the hot tub or pool, so no comments. Loved the front room and screened in porch. Lots of options to sit, visit, play games. Nice to be able to seat 10 at the dining room table. We had the property to ourselves, there is a B side, so no issues with neighbors. Shared some feedback with Frank and he appreciated it. If you have a big group—you would love being side-by-side. The unit was great with two nice bathrooms to get ready for wedding! Thanks Frank!

We had the perfect girls weekend here! We loved cozying up to the fire, dipping in the hot tub and just had the most relaxing time. It’s also very close to some great restaurants, bars, shops, etc

Jennifer's place was clean and neat as described. There were the necessary amenities that we didn't have to bring to prep breakfast or eat the food that we brought. When we arrived we walked into a warm house and a beautiful fireplace to make the place feel warm and cozy! On the counter was delicious brownies and a bottle of wine with a note from the host! Everyone exclaimed with "Awww...How thoughtful"! The rooms were clean, comfy and cozy! The house and the area that it was nestled in was out of a hallmark movie! There were thoughtful trinkets, decorations and amenities that we didn't need to bring in order to cook or use during our stay. There were plenty of extras so we were never without the things that we needed! There was plenty of room for us to spread out! And plenty of spaces when we needed to be together. Early check in and late check out was provided by the host. They always responded in a timely manner and was kind and wished us well to and leaving the rental.

Jen was so sweet, messaged back right away and gave us a list of things to do while we were there on a mini vacation visiting family. Hot tub and deck so clean, amazing and private Thank you and Happy holidays.

My fiancé and I visited Donna’s place over a summer weekend, and we had the most amazing time. Donna’s house is so beautiful and welcoming - we felt at home. Her place was clean and is filled with the most thoughtful decor. It has everything anyone needs for a peaceful, relaxing stay. She was responsive right from the day of booking to our final day and even stopped by to meet us in person. We look forward to staying at her house again soon!

This house offers so much comfortable space! Two bedrooms have an en-suite bathroom, and there is another full bath, and a power room to boot. There are tons of games to keep everyone occupied, and my family had a blast in the hot tub. The space feels very spacious and luxurious, and the neighborhood is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen in my life. Missy was the best host I’ve ever had on Airbnb. She was flexible with EVERYTHING. If I had a question, she would answer within a few minutes, even though her response time said it was 4 hours. I even ended up having more guests than when I had booked the stay, and when I told Missy a few days before, she didn’t charge me extra, which I was fully expecting. She just wants you to truly enjoy yourself. We had so much fun, and even cooked a full Thanksgiving dinner here. That being said, if you plan to cook a big meal, bring your favorite pots and pans if you’re picky. The beds in the bunk room are so comfy! Thanks Missy!

Great little house for family getaway… close to the dunes and other things to do

Melinda and Laurie were amazing hosts. I had a girls weekend with 8 of my besties. The house was cozy, clean and beautiful. The hot tub was great. We had a beautiful fire! The surrounding area was gorgeous with a clubhouse and a pool. Too cold to utilize in October LOL. However the weather was gorgeous. New Buffalo was 7 minutes away. Nice boutiques and the beautiful lake. The Casino 15 minutes. Everything you need at your finger tips. I’ll definitely be back this summer!!! ❣️

Incredible opportunity to refresh, unwind, and reconnect with the beautiful animals and surrounding nature in Sawyer, Michigan. Owner is fantastic and I’m already looking forward to making a return trip. Just perfect.

This is possibly the best and most comfortable stay in an Airbnb I've ever had! We arrived right when the snow had fallen so it was very much a winter wonderland!! Lived out our fantasy of living in a little cottage. Neighbors kitties that come over for treats and pets, the fire in the back, and the comfy bed!!! It was perfect. Being about 45 mins away from Grand Rapids was also a plus! The small town shops nearby was all decked out with Christmas decor and it felt like a Hallmark movie ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Thank you Heather for the wonderful experience! Everything was so beautifully set!

I've been staying at here every summer for six years now. We love the location, the casual lowkey ambiance, the proximity to the beach and gorgeous sunsets and the comfort of the cottages. The hosts are so easy and flexible, we couldn't imagine a summer without a visit to Elephant Walk!

The Airbnb was very comfortable! Lots of seating for dining and lounging. Plenty of beds. The upstairs suite was very nice. Kitchen is nice for an Airbnb. Lots and lots of games!!! The backyard is amazing. In the summer it would be worth renting this Airbnb just for that space. The only thing to mention that was a bit of a con was the flooring was probably original and was very creaky and uneven. There were a couple of stubbed toes. It was definitely one of the nicer Airbnb’s we have stayed in the area.

This was our second time staying at The Pines for an extended Thanksgiving trip. The house is beautiful and welcoming with lots of open space for spending time together. Beautiful property and little "nook" of a neighborhood; our dogs joined us and the street was perfect for their walks. John and Jon are incredibly thoughtful hosts, with lots of proactive communication, extensive local recommendations, and little details around their home. John was communicative and responsive throughout our stay and it truly felt like we had a "host" for our time there. Excellent experience and can't wait to visit again.

Great property for two families with small kids! The listing has everything you need, including pack and plays & a highchair. Dana was super responsive and laid out easy instructions + local recommendations. S’mores on our last night was a big hit!

Lisa was an incredible host and her home was absolutely adorable. My family and I enjoyed evenings by the fire, loads of games and incredible food cooked in the well equipped kitchen. Lisa was a wonderful communicator and we were incredibly grateful for her support, truly above and beyond. We made wonderful memories and felt right at home!

Yes and yes!! We loved our stay at Anna’s place. From the treehouse to the glass windows to the ease of use - this was a great spot for our family of 5 Fall getaway. My 7 year old just kept saying Can it get any better?! We loved it..:.Thank you!
