Cottage vacation rentals in Union Pier

We absolutely loved our stay at “the dump”and rate this a 4.8! Photos do not do this place justice, it’s incredibly well maintained and perfectly beach themed with modern touches. The kitchen is updated and had everything we needed, including toddler friendly cups, bowls, plates (which was a bonus). Couch, kitchen chairs, pillows and beds were comfortable. Beach area is absolutely incredible, very large and there are shells which our toddler loved collecting. What would make this a 5 star: umbrella or shade structure for the beach when needed (it was super hot during our stay), deep cleaning of all cob webs under and around furniture, filters for coffee machine, dishwasher pods, laundry pods/detergent, luggage stands, hooks everywhere for clothes, bathing suits, towels, etc., filtered water brita or similar. Overall an amazing long weekend spent on the beach, we even added an additional day to our stay and it was super easy. Thank you so much; we will be back!!

Great host and great place to stay while visiting the area!

Nicole was a great host. My family and I wanted an end of summer trip and this was perfect! The house was as described and as it looks in the photos. We took the boat out each day fishing. We also took the kayaks out for a bit. With a bit of rainy weather we played games. Nicole has a wide variety of games to chose from with any unfortunate weather. When reaching out to Nicole she answered very quick with great recommendations.

My friends and I stayed for the weekend for a birthday getaway and loved it! Trevor's place was just as described and felt so cozy. The location was perfect! We enjoyed early morning walks around the neighborhood and by the lake, as well as sitting out on the porch and by the fire pit. We were so close to town where there are so many lovely restaurants and shops. Trevor provided recommendations for a few places that we did end up checking out and they were amazing! The Terrace Room, Bentwood Tavern, and Shady Creek Winery were a huge hit with my friends and I. I couldn't recommend this area and this house more for a wonderful weekend getaway or for a longer stay as well. Trevor was super friendly and responsive to all of my questions, even late into the night. Overall, great stay!

What a gorgeous space! We went during the dead of winter but I can only imagine it’ll be so much prettier during the summer months. There’s not much to do around there (again, we were there in the dead of winter) and the closest to do anything is about 30 mins. My only complaint was the lady bugs and stink bugs that was in the master bedroom. They were even climbing over the covers. We didn’t sleep in the other rooms because it’s just me and my husband so I don’t know if the bugs were in there. Aside from that, we loved our stay and the host was super fast at responding.

Seven of us (3 adults and 4 teens- ages 12-18) enjoyed our stay over Labor Day weekend! Melissa stocked the house with games (indoor and outdoor!), linens, everything you’d need in a kitchen, and even firewood for the fire pit! We were delighted to find 4 kayaks with every size life vest we could possibly need in the garage. And the kids LOVED having a bunkhouse to themselves. We spent the weekend fishing, playing games, cooking, and enjoying a private channel off the lake. It was ideal! Melissa responded incredibly quickly and was kind and thoughtful from start to finish.

Perfect home for a long weekend that included a Notre Dame football game. The home had plenty of space for two couples and the kitchen is beautifully updated. The house is exactly like the photos and even better in person. Lovely large yard, plenty of seating out by the lake, kayaks for use, a firepit; a great vacation home. Bonus on an ND football weekend: much less traffic coming from north of campus, easy drive getting in and out of campus.

Booked the A unit with friends for a wedding hosted at Lakeside Inn .02 miles away.. The kitchen was great, furniture comfy. Steep stairs so may be hard for older folks, but there are two bedrooms on 1st floor. We did not use the hot tub or pool, so no comments. Loved the front room and screened in porch. Lots of options to sit, visit, play games. Nice to be able to seat 10 at the dining room table. We had the property to ourselves, there is a B side, so no issues with neighbors. Shared some feedback with Frank and he appreciated it. If you have a big group—you would love being side-by-side. The unit was great with two nice bathrooms to get ready for wedding! Thanks Frank!

Three friends and I stayed here for a writing retreat. We chose this space because it has ample bedrooms and beds (5 - no bunking situations), and 3 full bathrooms. We also appreciated the seating area conducive for our writing. The hot tub was an amazing addition, even in the cold of the winter. This house also came fully loaded with all the amenities in the kitchen needed to keep us indoors and productive. Electric kettles, ample plating, silverware, basic seasonings, extra towel, washcloths - those extra touches mattered! So thankful to our amazing hosts! I can only imagine how great this spot is in the summer. I hope it’s as affordable in the summer as it was for us this winter!

Jennifer's place was clean and neat as described. There were the necessary amenities that we didn't have to bring to prep breakfast or eat the food that we brought. When we arrived we walked into a warm house and a beautiful fireplace to make the place feel warm and cozy! On the counter was delicious brownies and a bottle of wine with a note from the host! Everyone exclaimed with "Awww...How thoughtful"! The rooms were clean, comfy and cozy! The house and the area that it was nestled in was out of a hallmark movie! There were thoughtful trinkets, decorations and amenities that we didn't need to bring in order to cook or use during our stay. There were plenty of extras so we were never without the things that we needed! There was plenty of room for us to spread out! And plenty of spaces when we needed to be together. Early check in and late check out was provided by the host. They always responded in a timely manner and was kind and wished us well to and leaving the rental.

Jen was so sweet, messaged back right away and gave us a list of things to do while we were there on a mini vacation visiting family. Hot tub and deck so clean, amazing and private Thank you and Happy holidays.

My fiancé and I visited Donna’s place over a summer weekend, and we had the most amazing time. Donna’s house is so beautiful and welcoming - we felt at home. Her place was clean and is filled with the most thoughtful decor. It has everything anyone needs for a peaceful, relaxing stay. She was responsive right from the day of booking to our final day and even stopped by to meet us in person. We look forward to staying at her house again soon!

Beautiful home, well stocked with helpful kitchen items, towels, etc. great location and an easy walk to all the shops, restaurants and bars in New Buffalo.

Great little house for family getaway… close to the dunes and other things to do

We had a wonderful stay at Melinda’s place! We take an annual trip to Union Pier with two other couples and was perfect. It was spacious, had lots of great amenities, and the four seasons porch was fantastic. We will definitely stay here again!

We had a lovely stay at NWL. It was just the holiday break we needed! Cozy living quarters, full kitchen, a pasture full of beautiful llamas and a couple very sweet doggos. Can't wait to come stay again! Highly recommend!

Colton and Abbey have a lovely home. The beds are very comfortable. Everything was clean and orderly. Colton responds immediately if you message him. He is so helpful and friendly!! We stayed here last October and now in January 2025. We look forward to our upcoming stays in August and October of this year. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, as well as wineries, breweries and distilleries. We absolutely love the area and look forward to the next visit before we leave the present. We have been visiting the area since 2011. For a variety of reasons, this is our 4th home. It’s also our very favorite!! Colton recommended restaurants we had never heard of before. The yard is fantastic!! Our dogs love the house and the vacation as much as we do! Can’t wait to return!!!

John was a great host! All of the helpful info was great. He checked in with us half way through the weekend to check how things were, which was a very nice gesture. The only thing that I would have had any different would be window coverings in the main area of the house, but it was shown that way in the pictures, so we expected it. A great place & we would t hesitate to book again! The wildlife so close to the house was a fun treat.

We loved this place! Even though it’s probably the “off season”, everything was perfect! Very easy, short walk down to the beach. We will be back for a longer stay!

Beautiful house for a weekend getaway in the winter with friends or by yourselves. Great location, close to the Three Oaks town and its beautiful antiques stores. We played board games by the fire and cooked and grilled, and the house was fully equipped. Would be great to see this place in the summer or fall!

We had a fabulous time at Nick and Michael’s place. It had all the comforts of home. The location was the best as you could walk to anything. The backyard was perfect for our dogs. The weather was a little cold so we will be back when it warms up. I would highly recommend this place. If you want to be close to Lake Michigan.
