Very nice place close to Udawalawe national park

Second stay at the Lake Villa… and it's still magical. Extraordinary setting with a lot of birds on the lake. Walking or cycling around are really worth it, amid the rice fields and the very warm and smiling peasants' houses. Villa arranged with great taste. Fantastic welcome by Rishan. Delicious and very hearty meal The icing on the cake: waking up at sunrise with the Buddhist songs of the neighboring temple in background… magical.

We had a wonderful time at Sandun and Sureka's place. So lovely and friendly people, very honest and extremely helpful. They helped us a lot in all situations, we were more than satisfied and can wholeheartedly recommend the accommodation. We felt very comfortable and welcome, a great family! The food was outstanding and plentiful, wonderful. Sureka and Sandun also helped us see sights. Very good guides, great driver, thank you all!

The most amazing place so far for us out of 6 accommodations! I can’t see anything missing at this place. Sanath, his wife, son and Mr R was all incredibly friendly and helpful! They took care of us like family, with the biggest respect and openness. The food is excellent and the knowledge about nature as well! We learned so much! Book this place, you will not be disappointed! (We extended our booking with one night therefore two comments!) The river is clean and you can swim in it! We also fished in the river! A great place! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Really relaxing place to stay. The property is really beautiful and great to explore. Make sure you visit the little pools and get a natural fish foot spa! Our room was very comfortable, beautifully decorated and we loved the touches such as the incense and being able to make our own tea using the little stove and kettle. Views are amazing from the window also. I wouldn’t recommend this place to people who aren’t able to walk up steep terrain as you will need to firstly remove your shoes and navigate through the river and then walk up quite a steep hill to reach the restaurant area (all with luggage in tow). This place is also very secluded which gives a lovely feeling of being out in nature and away from the city but it’s worth noting there is limited power supply and lighting in the rooms. The town of deniyaya is only accessible by tuk tuk or a long big walk up the hill which also makes it hard to eat out (we ended up having all meals at the property because it was much easier- however they are a little pricey...not sure if this is because most of the produce is from their land?). We didn’t see he hosts but the volunteers working there were all really nice and willing to help with anything. They are also really good at catering for vegans (we were able to have coconut milk in our coffee and a vegan coconut pancake!!). Overall a great stay and a lovely place to visit and relax if you want some time out in nature. Thanks!

Sam is very responsive to messages, these directions to the Ashram are very clear! The learning of meditation was quality. Sam is very friendly, the place is beautiful and peaceful, I recommend it!

Baby elephant greenhouse was an dancing place to stay, We were cooked a delicious meal on arrival The rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable Thank you so much chinthaka and co for a great stay! Would 100% recommend this place

Here is the revised version: “Our stay with Sujee and his family was great. The accommodation is idyllically located, surrounded by palm trees and nature, which creates a beautiful atmosphere. The food was fantastic – Sujee's wife is an excellent cook! The room was spacious, cozy and clean, and there was even a small private terrace. Sujee also offers safaris. However, we had already booked ours before our arrival and therefore could not do any with him. However, next time we would definitely choose his safari as he has a lot of experience and knowledge about the animals and their habitat. Highly recommend!” Is that okay?
