Lauri's Cottage - Secluded & Pet Friendly

Set on 5 acres of mainly native bushland, our cottage is a real retreat from the urban rat race. The cottage is well equipped with everything to make your stay enjoyable. We have central hydronic heating but the 2 large open fireplaces are a real feature of the cottage. We are regularly visited by kangaroos, kookaburras and other native wildlife. Fur kids are entirely welcome and we have a secure area with a large kennel if you want to leave them while you explore the delights of Daylesford.

A country escape for nature lovers. Very spacious with large lounge dining room leading out to front deck with spectacular views along with 2nd sitting room with a BBQ deck. Both bedrooms have a king bed and storage. There are 2 bathrooms one up and one down and a second toilet off the laundry downstairs Well equipped kitchen including pizza oven and espresso machine. Your welcome pack consists of home made pizza and fudge. Fire place available from 1st May to 30th September.

Karen’s place provided a wonderful retreat whilst we were at Golden Plains festival with our children (3&5yo). The children loved the garden Karen provided thoughtful bubble bath, the kitchen was very well equipped (we even baked muffins) and the BBQ was spotless! Buninyong is a lovely town close by and it’s so close to Ballarat if you want to explore those sights and delights. Thanks again for a lovely stay!

What a lovely place to stay with everything you could wish for and then some. Walking distance to great restaurants and shops. Our doggo was soooo spoilt there and loved his special treats and was very happy he could join us on the couch with his own rug to lie on. The cookies were a hit with our daughter who is gluten free. It was beautiful, stylish accommodation , with everything of the highest quality but you could actually relax and be comfortable as well. Fiona was a genuinely kind host who generously allowed a late check out which really helped us out . Thank you

I’ve never stayed at a more peaceful, tranquil and romantic getaway than Hannah’s Hepburn Treehouse. It was the perfect spot for my wife and I to spend our anniversary. Full of light and love. Everything about this place is spectacular. It’s the ideal place for a few days of relaxation while you’re in Daylesford/Hepburn Springs. We loved it.

We had such a lovely stay at Hazel House. The home is beautifully decorated with so many thoughtful touches that made it feel welcoming and comfortable from the moment we walked in. The lounge was especially cosy—I spent hours happily reading my book there—and the outdoor BBQ area was a great bonus that we made good use of. Sarah was a fantastic host—super responsive, friendly, and gave us all the detail we needed to enjoy our stay. The location is also spot on, just a short drive to Lake Wendouree. Would definitely stay again. Thanks for a wonderful getaway!

Kim’s place was lovely. We took our two golden retrievers who really appreciated all the little touches that make it ideal for pups - things like snacks for them on arrival and pup friendly bed linen. The area is ideal if you’re looking to step away from the city hustle and bustle, and just vanish into the countryside. Whilst Vaughan is very quiet and peaceful, Daylesford was about a 20-30 mins drive away which of course has plenty to do. An ideal balance of both worlds. Kim’s responses were super quick which was hugely appreciated and a great welcome pack was available too. Highly recommend to anyone who just wants to step away from the world for a little hush time. Freddie, Hamish, and their pawrents x

All I can say is we’ll be back. This place is one of those gems that makes Airbnb great, especially for travelling with pets. The cabin is spacious, clean and a pleasure to stay in. Ali and her partner have thought of every detail including incidentals for dogs and even a welcome hamper on arrival. Quiet location while still being close to Daylesford. The kitchen is stocked like a real kitchen and the place is kept very clean. Great find.
