Yurt vacation rentals in The Great Lakes

This is a great camp ground with wonderful nature trails and accessible necessities like kitchen, toilets and shower if you need them. But also a place to rough it if you want to. I was a first time camper learning the ropes with a friend and I felt like it was just a great place to get started. Thanks joe!

A great place to decompress and disconnect. This my first ever time of learning and experiencing a yurt. It was a real treat, the tranquility of the outdoors reminded me of the little yet important things in life. Ashley was a very kind and accommodating host. Everything was clear and available to discussion.

This was my second time staying at David & Trish's Yurt and my girlfriend and I had a wonderful time! Such a great place! We had a wonderful and peaceful sleep in the quiet of the forest, enjoyed the trails through their property, and enjoyed playing the guitar they have for their guests in their comfortable living room area! If you enjoy camping and the great outdoors, I couldn't recommend this place enough! Looking forward to our next visit!:-)

My husband and I were scrambling to find a place to stay for some last minute plans in the area and I am so glad I happened to come across Paula and John's place. If you are thinking of booking. just go ahead and do it. The property is really amazing and full of things to do. The yurt is so cool! Comfy bed and all the needed amenities. The (detached) bathroom even has real plumbing! Paula and John are both extremely friendly and are there on the property to help with whatever you may need. We had a great stay and really enjoyed kayaking on the canal in the mornings. We can't wait to come back!

We went for a weekend getaway. The experience was what we expected it to be. It was surrounded by the woods, we got to light our own fire in the pit, roasted a few things. However, due to light rains had to wrap it up a little early (can't do anything about it), still thoroughly enjoyed it. The kitchen is equipped to prepare some basic stuff, and an outdoor BBQ for some heavy cooking (if weather permits). We were welcomed by the hosts and their two cute dogs. Expect that there will be other dogs around, as this is a pet friendly place. We made our own fire in the fire pit and room heater, there was plenty of wood, and tools to prepare kindling. We didn't need the room heater in fall season. My only feedback would be for washroom. Sometimes the smell can creep in the yurt if the flap in the toilet doesn't close correctly. Overall I would highly recommend the place, it was as it is put in the description.

We loved staying in Maureen's beautiful yurt! It is an authentic yurt lovingly crafted and decorated with hand painted sacred geometry. inside we found precious little items, handmade blankets and musical instruments. The wood stove is easy to use and ample firewood was provided. Maureen thoughtfully brought out a flask of piping hot coffee in the morning and we felt cozy, welcome and right at home. Would definitely return to have more time to explore the lands and full experience Maureen had to offer!

Another amazing Yurt stay! Enjoyed the fire pit and checked out the hiking trail. Beautiful weekend! Would recommend to family and friends!

We had a wonderful relaxing stay in the yome - loved looking at the stars at night and meeting the animals in the morning! Breakfast was incredible, thanks for opening your farm to us!

Jill was an amazing host! She communicated perfectly about everything from the property to the local attractions, restaurants and attractions! My husband was the guest, away to fish and enjoy the water! He said the surrounding and atmosphere were perfect for anyone wanting to be submersed in nature! He will most definitely be back!

We had a lovely stay at Heather’s yurt. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a fire in the stove on a chilly evening. We cooked dinner on the provided grill outdoors and cozied in for a quiet evening by the fire. In the morning, we enjoyed the two eggs provided by Heather. Before leaving, we adventured down by the river and could picture the appeal of swimming on a warm, summer day.

This little house is so cute and very comfortable. The setting is very peaceful and quiet. The accommodations were nice, and definitely adequate for 2 people. We will definitely stay there again!!

This getaway that Elisa has constructed is not to be missed. I've gone 6 times now and will be back every single year. This is a magical, magical place. The yurts are homey and spotless. The farm grounds are vast and adventurous with amazing trails and a multitude of animals to take in. The campfires around each yurt are perfect for watching the night stars and hosting a cookout. The spa is so reasonably priced for a private hot tub and sauna. We had the most relaxing, whimsical weekend and I am dreaming about the next one!

What a beautiful, romantic piece of heaven. This was everything I was hoping for and more. Jennifer was a great host. The view of the stars out the dome of the yurt straight from the bed was incredible.

This was my second time staying at the Birchwood Blue Cabin and it remains to be one of my favorite places in Wisconsin. The location is nice and private - the perfect place for a peaceful retreat to unplug and unwind. Dave & Laurie are so kind and accommodating - I cannot recommend them enough!!

Stayed at Dennis and Kathy's place for two nights! It was a really nice getaway. Kathy and Dennis's story on hosting visitors to support a non-profit for families struggling with cancer is really awesome. We are glad we got to experience the Pine Cone Cabin!

The eagle yurt was exactly as it looked. It is a great place to have family together in a rustic yet comfortable environment. Each night and every morning we enjoyed a relaxing fire by sunset and sunrise. Wildlife was abundant with beavers by day and the sound of coyotes and owls at night. Other guests were kind, helpful, and generous, while the property manager Jay was approachable, informative, and gave great tips and pointers on local attractions. It is rustic, with pit bathrooms away from the yurt. We didn’t mind this at all but others might. We can’t wait to stay again.

Came during a snowy weekend and had the best time. Elsa had everything on site and it was so remote, private, and beautiful. We need to come back in the summer to enjoy everything then, too! The nearby town of Big Bay is adorable and we had a great time hiking with our dogs in the snow. Loved having a fully logged off weekend to just enjoy the company of ourselves. Recommend!

Three of us came up north for a canoeing trip during fall break. This place was only 30 minutes from the Chippewa Landing Livery. It was exactly how Seth described it and even more! The yurt was tucked on the edge of the woods, facing a wide open field and another woods across the field. I feel like we saw the best fall colors during our stay here. When the sun rose in the early morning, a thin layer of fog hovered over the field. It’s so beautiful and peaceful! I also loved the sunrise and walking around on the farm. I adored the yurt! it’s very cozy and thoughtfully decorated! May daughter also loved roasting S’mores over the bonfire. It’s a shame that I didn’t find this farm a month ago. But we’ll likely be back next year!

I needed some forest therapy and disconnecting and I got it here. I will be back for sure. Weather happened to be gorgeous too. The forest around the yurt was so beautiful and the yurt itself had everything we needed, and nothing we did not. It was so nice to listen to quiet and the nature noises. It was just perfect. Alan was responsive and made sure we had everything we needed.

Very responsive leading up to the stay. Very kind and helpful once we arrived. Normal washroom facilities were not available at the time of our stay, so they gave us keys to another lodge/cabin near our yurt that had a washroom and shower for us yo use.

Had a great time staying in the yurt. Great location and a short commute to the ferry’s for Mackinac Island. Would definitely stay here again!

very relaxing short gateway for city people that love nature ! the only thing that they may need to upgrade is the lighting outside the yurt and hanging place for cloth like coat or towel .

Peaceful and secluded location but close enough to everything. It was wonderful to unplug for a few days and feel like you’re right at home.
