The Piggeries is a lovely house in a beautiful location. Kitchen was extremely well equipped and the layout of the house allows the family to socialise all together but also have the benefit of being able to have one’s own space. Patio and garden are a great advantage particularly when the Lancashire weather plays ball! All in all we had a wonderful stay at The Piggeries and would definitely like to stay here again.

We had a lovely short break. The barn was very comfortable and like a home from home, lots of space and perfect for our family and dog. Welcome basket was a nice touch and there was a great selection of games and books for our children to use.

The private parking didn't exist . Andrew should remove this from the description. Otherwise the place was fantastic value and I have already recommended it to family.

Lovely accommodation. Great view. Spotlessly clean. Everything needed was provided for a relaxing stay by the sea. Perfect location. My dog was very happy with the green space and fresh air. Plenty of room. Full size kitchen. Would definitely stay again.

Five stars is not enough for here. The most stunning place we have stayed. Dave was great pre stay but left us to ourselves during the stay. Self check in was easy. The house is clean, has the necessary amenities and the most stunning view you will ever see. We come to the lakes a lot but nothing has compared to this stay. We had a lovely walk round the Haverthwaite Circular too. Thank you Dave for some great memories and for sharing your beautiful home with us.

We thought that David's place was really nice, with a touch of style and class. The property is situated in a very nice part of Lytham, and is ideally located for access to the town and all the restaurants and shops that the area has to offer. If walking along the seafront is your thing, then you've cracked it, because it's only a stone's throw away. Blackpool is easy to get to and is a quick drive up the coast. The allocated parking space is very convenient and solves any parking issues around the front. The accommodation itself is very spacious, very clean and well organised. Everything you need in the kitchen is there and there's a TV in the lounge, and both bedrooms. The bathroom is also clean and tidy. We visited in mid November, so heating was important. No problem there, it's easy to use, very efficient and heats up pretty quickly. if we were visiting the area again, we wouldn't hesitate in asking David if he has a vacancy.

Our family spent a lovely weekend here. Beautiful peaceful village location, no shops or pubs in the village itself but you're just a short drive from Appleby and can walk to the Butchers Arms pub either via the river or road which takes about 20m. Great meal at the Butchers too. Cottage is full of character and plenty of space for large groups. Fab kitchen facilities, we especially liked the Aga and also loved the 2 log burners in the main living room which was really cosy. Plenty of parking and a well maintained hot tub, comfy beds and host was very responsive to our messages. A couple of things could be improved - we spotted quite a few cobwebs and the room we staying in was lacking another bedside table, but all in all a lovely place we would recommend.
