5 stars across the board, Jesse's Airbnb was exactly as described. Beautiful surroundings, extremely peaceful and private. Jesse provided numerous local recommendations that we wouldn't have been aware of, from hikes, to restaurants and wine tasting, many of which we took advantage of. Jesse was also the most responsive Airbnb host I've ever experienced (both using my account and staying with friends/family on their accounts), even arranging for electrical adapters to be delivered within an hour after I mentioned we'd forgotten ours at the airport. If visiting Portugal I would highly recommend the Douro Valley, and if so, definitely stay at Jesse's Airbnb. We will definitely be back!

Enjoyed a peaceful stay in Esphinhosa. The house is very inviting with plenty of room. Views are amazing with the vineyards across the lane. Virtually no traffic since it is the 2nd last place on the road. A leisurely 5-minute stroll to the little hamlet of Esphinhosa. There's a very small coffee bar & grocery store in town. It has the very basics to get you through. If you plan to make your own meals in the well-equipped kitchen, remember to purchase your groceries on the way. For large luggage, you will want to access the 2nd floor from the back door up the hill rather than using the spiral stairs. Also, Google Maps took us straight through Espinhosa. To squeeze through the houses where R.Direita meets R.dos Valados, we had to fold up the mirrors on our Dacia Duster with likely only 1/2" to spare on either side. Make sure to use Rua Cimo do Povo and follow the signs for Valado Houses. Good local food at Restaurante Pesqueirense in São João da Pesqueir.

The space is more beautiful than in the photos, comfortable and with beautiful surroundings, we were welcomed and our dogs loved the time outdoors. I recommend it!

Beautiful place, stunning views, very yummy breakfast every morning. Carlos is very friendly and helpful. the little cabins are comfortable and perfect for families.

Our stay was all we hoped it would be. Thanks to Tania who looks after the property and who looked after us so well. Beautiful property with stunning views of the valley. Would love to return.

Sergio has been exceptional. We were greeted by his son upon our arrival as he could not (he warned us before hand) and was an exceptional host, kind and with a smile from ear to ear. In any case, Sergio was for us quickly by messaging if we needed him and he cared about how we were. The house is in a beautiful setting, surrounded by forest and tranquility. Our dog enjoyed it very much. Those of you who have dogs with a tendency to escape you have to be careful as the house has an unfenced part. Sergio takes care of the last detail. We had everything. Very clean, and everything smelled great. The double bed was very comfortable. We would have stayed many more days. We went by car to be able to visit places like Porto that are about an hour away. And a LIDL that you can walk to. A luxury of home. We would definitely repeat it.

Such a dreamy place! We loved our time here... reading, painting by the river, visited some river beaches, swam in the pool, hot tub with morning coffee. If you're looking to get away and have a beautiful time in nature with lots of things to do, highly recommend this place. And every review is accurate... breakfast is incredible and Patricia makes you feel at home. We'd love to come back.
