If you are a nature lover who enjoys a country, somewhat rustic-style home, this is the place for you. It wasn't easy to find (don't follow Waze's directions...), but we finally found it with Michealyn's direction. We didn't have time to enjoy the garden since we were busy every day with activities (Semuc Champey is a MUST!). But if you have more time on your hands, it is a great place to relax with nature outside your door. a few tips to make the stay better: The dogs are friendly, but after the first night, where they barked all night long right under the bedroom window, my advice is to ask to take them off the premises for your stay. The host easily did it. If the internet is down (which happens every few hours), unplug it and plug it back and it will work. Ask the host how to get the hot water in the shower (it's a little trick). All in all, Michaelyn was quick to respond and the housekeepers were a great help as well.

We stayed for two nights at Claudia’s home. We went to Semuc Champey and we all felt like this was a good place to be. The drive from Guatemala City was manageable, and the time to Semuc Champey from Claudia’s home was a pretty easy two hours. It was nice that we returned to a home with hot water and electricity (you won’t always find places with that near Semuc Champey). It was also close to some nice restaurants and easy to get to town. We would be happy to stay here again.

Guillermo is a very friendly and always responsive host. He is very hospitable and we were allowed to check out a little later than expected, so we could go to El Biotopo de Quetzal first. The cottage is located in the middle of nature and is beautiful. The only thing I missed was a hammock :) And maybe some dusting needs to be done at times, but otherwise it's great Therefore, I would highly recommend this property.

It's a beautiful place and the service was excellent. Monica was always helping us to visit places that were worth visiting. It's a family place and I recommend visiting it. You won't regret it. My wife was fascinated and the whole family liked it so much that they want to return

The host and his children are very friendly. They sent staff to help us with the luggage. Notes: they accepted four dogs, they gave us directions so that they could stay calmly and without any inconvenience. In addition, there were nests of farm animals and they made us do it in advance to take care of the dogs. The place was very safe
