Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Switzerland

The house is located in a unique historic village. Definitely go for a walk through the village . The location is great to discover the Versace valley and Lago Maggiore. The historic has been nicely renovated . All the essentials were present. It is a small and cozy house and it was perfect for us as a family for 4 nights ( 2 adults , 1 toddler, 1 dog). You can have dinner outside looking out over the valley. There is a great restaurant located next to the house. It has to be noted that parking was difficult. There is no dedicated parking for the house. One night we had to park 10 minutes down the road. Also, you have to go down quite a few steps to get to the house. Which might a challenge for less mobile people. We also struggled to find the place on the day of our arrival. The location on Airbnb is a few 100 meters off and it seems like all houses are called Rustico. However, Davide was very responsive and showed us in the right direction. Overall we had a great stay.

Laura is a great host and her chalet is even better in person than what we saw in the pictures. Cozy, with lots of toys and games for children. The landscape and surrounding mountains is unbelievably beautiful!

We had a wonderful stay at Heidi's chalet. It was absolutely perfect for our family gathering. Very close to the ski lifts, but far enough away from all the crowds. The chalet was very cozy and the kitchen well-stocked for cooking. Heidi and her family were extremely responsive to all our questions. Thank you again Heidi and we hope to be back.

We had an amazing stay here. It is located far from the city. You definitely need a car to reach the airbnb. The view of mountains and sunset and sunrise is immaculate. There’s also a lot of activities to do at the top of the Mostelberg. We would love to be here again. Sonja and Marcel are reaaaally friendly and kind. We were welcomed with heartwarming presences.❤️

Had an absolutely fabulous week at Jane & Robin’s home. My wife, kids and I just didn’t want to leave. The home itself is full of warmth and peace. The garden is just fabulous with views of Lake Geneva and the mountains. I could spend weeks sitting there, sipping on wine and reading a book. The kids loved the massive trampoline and the stand up swimming pool. The whole house was extremely comfortable, lovely dining table kitchen, tv area and bedrooms. You definitely need a car and in any case anyone coming to the Montreux area should rent one. By car there are fabulous restaurants, cafes and supermarkets within 5 mins of the home. I definitely want to return to this piece of paradise - let me know when it’s available again, Robin and Jane!

Had a lovely stay at Ana’s place, the home was beautiful and so clean. Had everything we needed with beautiful views. Co-host Carlos was super helpful, very responsive and made some great recommendations for local activities. Thanks both, what a beautiful home you have!

Christine's apartment was fabulous, modern, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, cosy and had comfortable beds. We felt very comfortable and can highly recommend it. Just be aware though if you are booking this 6 bed apartment for only 3 or 4 people as we had an issue. We were a party of 2 mothers (in 60's) & 2 sons (in 20's). We were pleased to find this apartment as it had 3 rooms so the mothers could have a room each and sons share twin room. However when we arrived the twin room was locked and unavailable & 2 rooms did not match the listing showing 3. We were very disappointed. Christine did respond quickly and rectified the situation but pointed out she she had provided 4 beds. One mother is an Airbnb host and didn't feel she was very apologetic for the disappointment we had felt. She would have been far more apologetic. However she did not charge us for use of laundry to compensate. we can still thoroughly recommend this lovely apartment.

Nicole has thought of everything and has taken care of every small detail to ensure a wonderful stay! A welcome gift of chocolates and local honey were provided and really appreciated it. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances, pans, utensils, drink ware and dinner ware. Paper towels, sponges, soap, cleaning supplies, spices, salt, pepper, sugar and more were all provided. There were plenty of extra blankets and towels which is something unique and very much appreciated. Nicole was responsive to every message and was even provided us with converter plugs because we forgot Switzerland has different outlets than Austria and Germany. The apartment was just as pictured with plenty of space and comfortable accommodations. The apartment is on the lower level of the house and has a terrace that opens to a lovely flat yard. We didn't hear any noise at all from the upstairs or from the road. The house is a short distance (1-2 min drive or 15 min drive) to downtown Flims. Highly recommend!

Excellent stay in an apartment certainly small, but well designed and well-equipped. The location is a little far from the center, but in exchange it is very quiet and surrounded by greenery. And then there is the free bus network of Crans-Montana. We must salute the excellent communication with Gilles who is a very considerate and attentive host.

Kathleen was very welcoming and very kind. I got there when the weather got rough with the snow and she made sure I had the proper clothing and gave me recommendations. Easy to communicate with for any questions needed. Instructions were very clear and easy to find.

Absolutely stunning stay! Every window in the house frames a picturesque mountain view—it's like living in a postcard. The house is perfect for families with children, offering plenty of toys to keep them entertained. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the utensils you could need, including baking tools, and even has basic cooking essentials provided. Highly recommend for a peaceful and cozy getaway!

Wonderful apartment with plenty of space, ideal with three teenagers! Tasteful furnishings, comprehensive kitchen utensils, pleasant bedrooms; simply great feel-good character! In addition, great location with (two) garage spaces, pleasant proximity to the valley station of the Laaxer ski resort, a Volg nearby and short distance to the wellness area of the nearby hotel Laaxerhof (possible for outside entrance). Relaxing views of the nearby forest with sound of a creek from the large, associated terrace. Andreas was an always available and caring contact person for questions and uncertainties. In short: a great, absolutely recommended total package!

What a great place! Tons of space, cozy beds, great views, beautiful neighborhood, and so many shades of yellow! It's just a bonus, but the artwork throughout the place was also great, full of humor and interesting finds. We were here for a work project, but I can't wait to bring back my wife and some friends. I thought Rorschach was just a test. Turns out it's also a beautiful town on a beautiful lake. Who knew?
