Barn vacation rentals in Switzerland

Our stay at the apartment was very pleasant. There were six of us and we were very comfortable right from the start. A great apartment, which is absolutely recommended!

The accommodation is a very lovingly renovated cottage from an old barn, as is typical for the Lötschental. The pictures give a good impression of it. Bright and very spacious and equipped with everything you need. There were only two of us, but even for four there is enough of everything (e.g. dishes, cutlery, space). Bakery and pub (Dorfkeller) are close by. We did not meet Ole and Silvia personally, but communication was always quick and easy and self-check-in via the key box was convenient because we could not determine our arrival time in advance. With the guest card, which is valid for every booked day, you get great discounts (e.g. bus, gondola, museum, mini golf free of charge). Also recommended are the audio tours in the villages. We were particularly pleased with the personal welcome :-)

Staying at Davids chalet in Cerise was part of a wonderful vacation. On a mountain side in Val de Dix we rested in a charming chalet with spectacular evening dinner views and sunny breakfast moments. We rented it with two persons but it’s big enough for a family of 4. And most of the time we were out on a hike. The photos don’t always give a clear view of the layout but it has three floors, two toilets, a bath, washing machine, dishwasher, … And David is a great host, communication is quick, helpful, friendly and easy. He is also a personal tourist information Center. He greets you with suggestions of the best and sometimes hidden gems of what to do in the area. So yes, staying at this chalet is a recommendation.

Rosa is an amazing host. The property and the surrounding village is beautiful and peaceful while a 15 minute drive to Villars. Also, the kitchen was the nicest and most well-stocked of any rental property I've ever used. Thank you!

I had a wonderful short break in Estavayer le Lac and immediately felt welcome in this beautiful room. The room is stylishly furnished and very well-kept. I especially liked the fantastic bathroom with the luxurious bathtub. The private entrance provides plenty of privacy and freedom. On the first floor there is a small café, which is also very inviting. I really liked the town itself, with its charming shops, the historic atmosphere and the impressive castle. The walk along the lake is also particularly beautiful. A completely perfect stay!

We enjoyed the nice apartment very much overlooking both the Alps and the meadows for breakfast. The property is located just above the village which provides an undisturbed location and at the same time it was only 200 meters straight down the hill to the nearest major store. Thoughtful host couple with, for example, maps and tips on what's in the surroundings to simplify holiday planning. We'd love to come again!

The place is unique, modern, with plenty of space and a cozy atmosphere. The nature and views are wonderful. Nadja and her family were very helpful, trusting and uncomplicated. We enjoyed our time there very much and can highly recommend the accommodation!

We really enjoyed staying at Esther's place. It is a lovingly and beautifully restored old house. It had 2 parking spaces in front of the house. The house is heated by a stove and it was pleasantly warm with the fire. Our rooms were on the upper floor and we had a shared bathroom that was only for guests. Because it is an old wooden house, it is echoey in the rooms, but that did not bother us.

Everything was great, a very nice hostess. We were treated to a very tasty pie😋

Elena’s three-storey apartment ( we used only 2) was nice, well equipped with a special atmosphere where we felt at home from the very beginning. The apartment is at a great suburb environment with easy access to the city centre - by tram or train - and several shops, supermarkets and restaurants around. Elena immediately answered our questions and helped us with instructions. We would definitely return and recommend this place to others.

A fantastic chalet, immaculate inside and out. The owner was engaging from the point of entry and responded immediately when we encountered a minor issue. Despite being out the country on holiday, he resolved the issue without delay. 5 star property with a 5 star host.

Pleasant location, if we needed anything it could be arranged in no time. Cozy and Tiny house

A beautiful, large house and very tastefully furnished. But the terrace was our absolute highlight! Even in the rain you can linger outside. However, the house is not very suitable for holidays without a car. The post bus stops right in front of the house, but it only runs on weekdays, three times in the morning, once at noon and once in the evening. Sylvain and his family are very attentive and generous hosts. Warm thanks for your trust🌞!

We spent two amazing weeks at this perfectly designed and outfitted chalet. It is unusual to find such a well-equipped rental. We ate out only once our entire trip as the kitchen was so well equipped and such a pleasure to cook in. We also really appreciated the hot tub with the amazing view at the end of a day of skiing. This is the first chalet we have come across in the Alps with this amenity (we are from Canada where they are commonplace, so it was a real treat : )) Thomas and his family were exceptional hosts who were genuinely friendly, incredibly helpful and easy to communicate with. The entire trip exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend both 'Chalet Le Reve' and La Tzoumaz, and can't wait to return!

We really enjoyed our stay as Gasard’s place. It was spacious, decor was on point, 2 bath rooms meant our family of 5 didn’t have to wait for one another.
