Island vacation rentals in Sweden

It was a wonderful and very peaceful place!

The house is a real pearl in Stockholm archipelago, beautifully decorated which allows guests to understand the true living in this unique nature setting. The house is well equipped, with a spacious patio/deck for breakfast, lunch or dinner with brand new deck furniture. The house built in 1912, offers spectacular views from each room and is located next to a 1500 year old viking chiefs' grave shaped like a boat which gives a unique tie to the Scandinavian history. We experienced beautiful waterfront sunsets dining at the the dock house which offers charming overnight accommodations and has all the kitchen, dining/bbq equipment so guests can enjoy the dining at waterfront without running up to the main house. The sauna house is easy to use and guests can cool off stepping into the sea. For local excursions, the house is about 50 minutes drive to Stockholm old town. We thank the host Fredrik and his wife for a fantastic vacation in this spectacular Swedish nature reserve.

Staying with Kristian was great. He's the nicest host you can imagine. The island is beautiful, quiet and the sauna is awesome in bad weather. We enjoyed the time.

Nice host and beautiful surroundings through the interaction between human animals and nature ! Nicely arranged without electricity and water!

Amazing place, really great host and because it's used as a holiday home for the family it has everything you could need, which is really handy for little things like sticks to roast marshmallows on! Despite the changeable weather, because the place is so well planned and equipped, we had an amazing time. Great kayaks, trampoline in the garden was very much appreciated. We'd definitely stay again when we next go to Sweden.

a real paradise for adventurers in need of calm. You have to know how to take a motorboat 15 minutes to get to this small island where there are 2 houses.We have enjoyed the incredible views, nature, calm, hot tub and sauna.An absolute happiness 36 km from Stockholm

Nicklas is an outstanding host, simply perfect: friendly, warm, flexible, funny. The house is wonderful, a unique set up in complete loneliness. Simple, down to earth, but very welcoming and nice. Beautiful area, we loved all aspects of it. It is helpful if you are a “hands-on” family on not overly “etepetete”, over-sensitive or finicky. For us it was the perfect place for a fulfilling and active holiday in complete loneliness (including lots of fishing). We will come back!

We had 3 wonderful nights on the island. Everything worked out as it should. The refrigerator as you know it from home, cooled perfectly. Hot water in the outdoor shower. The place provided everything we needed for our 3 day stay. Sofia was informative and helpful. We received small videos that showed exactly how everything worked on the island. Very helpful. The experience of being all alone on a small island can really be recommended. It's definitely not the last time we'll try it! We can recommend Sofia and the lovely little island at any time! We were with two couples and a small dog at Pierre's house. It was perfect for the group. We had a nice time and relaxed. Our stay was in the second half of August, which was off-season for Swedish standards. To go out to eat, you unfortunately have to drive, but the house offers everything you need to cater for yourself, including a great gas grill and a charcoal grill.

The secluded and unique location of the island cannot be beat. We had a big adventure on the island with our children (4 and 7 years) - swimming in the river, campfire, sauna,boating etc. The house was cozy and well equipped. We enjoyed every second to the fullest and would come back any time.

The island gave us what we needed. The perfect place for recharging.

We had a wonderful 14 days in Kornelia's summer cottage. The location and the view of the lake are particularly outstanding. For our children it was like a little adventure where they could discover the beautiful nature of the island freely and safely. On top of that, the accommodation was very well equipped and clean, and Kornelia and Johann and the entire island community were very welcoming. I recommend the accommodation to anyone who wants to spend a wonderful, varied and relaxing time in a great environment.

This is a wonderful place to relax. We wish we had a few more days. The houses are simple but convenient. The location is spectacular. We visited in August and had to choose between raspberries, blackberries, wild cherries and just plain apples. No ground access - you have to arrive by boat. For a small fee Daniel will rent you his boat but during the high season you could take the shuttle or a water taxi.

I stayed here with my girlfriend and her dog for a 4 nights and it was exactly what we needed. A quaint and cozy real summer house that quickly feels like a home. Eating breakfast out on the deck, going to pick mushrooms in the forest, taking a cold dip in the ocean just 150 meters away, sauna in the evening and relaxing in front of the fireplace. Exactly what we needed to recharge the mental batteries. Hope to come back here more times because it's the kind of place that you miss after leaving.

We had an amazing time on this wonderful island! We did several trips with our paddle board and only left the island for grocery shopping. Did not expect a 7 year old and the dog to be so calm on a small island, but we all enjoyed it a lot. We left with sun and peace in our hearts and minds :-)

We loved our stay on the beautiful little paradise island. We were five friends and stayed for four nights. We did not want to leave because we enjoyed it so much. There is lot to do on the small island. Even when it is raining its nice to stay in the cozy living room inside. The sunset is amazing to watch on the decks. We loved the island and definitely come back. Tomas is a great and very friendly host. Thank you!

WOW. Is all I can say.Stayed with my partner this September for 5 days.Cannot get over how lovely and perfect this stay was.Boat given to get to the island and back when needed during the stay.Easy to row to.House exceeded expectations,was lovely and clean,cost and even had abit of food for us the night we arrived,this detail meant a lot.Every aspect and eventually thought about by host,life jackets provided,female products in toilet,towels,flannels,yogurt and cold fresh drinking water.Him and his wife met us on arrival and showed us the place we had booked.Were so accommodating and wish to be back here ASAP.Loved this place.

We had a a great time on the privat island. The beds were comfortable, the towels clean and the kitchen had all equipment that we needed. Enjoy the sauna and then jump into the beautiful water! All around the houses were places were you could relax. We felt like in paradise. It was peaceful und the view amazing. Thank you very much, Denize

We (a group of 5) liked the spot very much. The location is extraordinary with a fabolous view over the see. It‘s a big but cosy house, well equiped and seperated from all other houses in this area as it is located on an small island. The host was very easy reachable and helped immediately as we had a small issue with the hot water. The only downside was, that the sauna was out-of-order due to some water damage during the winter and it was not repaired before our stay. That would have been fantastic to sit in the sauna and enjoy the panorama view over the see. We loved it and will come back some day. Thomas
