House vacation rentals in Sutton-in-Ashfield

We had an incredible family weekend with two young children. The house is absolutely beautiful, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that made it feel like home. The kitchen was the heart of the house for us, fully equipped with everything we needed. The unique charm of the house was a delightful touch, and the kids had a blast exploring both indoors and out. Marcus, the host, went above and beyond—he even came out to find us when we had trouble locating the entrance. He gave us a comprehensive tour and made sure we knew how everything worked. The pool area was wonderfully private, and the hot tub was a lovely addition. The rooms were very comfortable, with stunning furniture and textiles. The grounds were breathtaking, providing the perfect setting for al fresco dining in a peaceful and glorious environment. Shame we hadn't planned a longer stay.

I came here with a large group of people and we fit perfectly. What a perfect location, right in the center of Bakewell and surrounded by beautiful walks. Really well stocked kitchen as well.

Really lovely stay in the Manor House for a family gathering for a surprise 40th birthday, the house is beautiful has everything you would need, lovely cake and fizz on arrival. And house beautifully decorated for Christmas which just added to it :)

We had a great stay - the house is peaceful, quiet, clean, and especially cosy with the woodburner on! Richard and Jo were excellent hosts, very friendly and accommodating, and offered great advice on places to visit nearby with our two small children. We all slept amazingly well (very unusual with a 1 and 3 year old); the beds were comfy and it was so quiet. The house is well set up for visiting with toddlers - there are toys, books, stair gates etc. and the large garden is great to let them run around in. We would absolutely return, especially in the summer to really make use of the beautiful garden.

Bloody fantastic and Gary went above and beyond. This was part of my 70th celebrations and for immediate family ie wife, son, daughter and their partners and, best of all, grandkids and we all had a fantastic time! The house did more than live up to our expectations and if you’re reading this, go for it! You will not be disappointed. 10/10☑️

Would highly recommended this location. Pristine accommodation, friendly staff. The Knockerdown pub was excellent too with a good choice on the menu.

It was my second stay at the property, and newly furnished since the last stay. Every was as good if not better than last time. Kaine and Jen are great hosts.

Very well equipped kitchen which was great. We cooked for 6 adults and there was plenty of space, cooking equipment, and hob and oven in very good condition.

We booked the house for a family weekend visiting in Derby. Great central location. Fantastic house with high ceilings and original period architecture, tastefully decorated. Loads of space to relax in and was a perfect stay. Highly recommended.

We loved our stay at Alexander’s place. The games table was a hit with my 4 boys. The house was in a great location for walking around. Would definitely stay again if in Nottingham.

Firstly I want to say Tai and Amy have been the best host I've ever had, ranging from their communication to the actual property itself. The Air Bnb was exactly as described and in spotless condition and had everything we needed for 4 lads looking for some relaxation time away. They had pamphlets for places to eat and gave us plenty of towels to use with their amazing Hot Tub/Jacuzzi. We had an issue with the shower head (no fault of their own) and came out within 20 minutes to sort the shower out for us. Exceptional customer service and I will definitely be coming back here when I get another chance. Thank you Tai and Amy x

Had a 3-day family get-together at Benjamin's place - it was the ideal venue. House was spacious, but felt cosy, with all the facilities as described. Bedlinen and towels were of good quality. Once installed, we could reach all the local amenities on foot: pubs, cafes, shops etc with easy access to local walks with views of the countryside. Enjoyed a cosy evening in the sitting room with the log burner when the weather turned cold. Would thoroughly recommend.

We stayed at Katie’s home for a girl’s weekend away. It was the perfect escape to the country and had everything we wanted. The house itself is beautiful and very fresh and clean. It has a lovely view out the back, which was the perfect setting for a few hours in the hot tub. We did a walk to Melbourne which was a 5 mile round trip and then had a lovely dinner at the Three Horseshoes, which was less than a 5 minute walk from Katie’s. Katie was also super responsive to any questions we had. Would highly recommend for a quiet weekend in the country.

There were 17 of us staying for a long weekend. We all had a very enjoyable stay. Plenty of space and great communal areas to dine, play games and socialise in our own little pub area. Amazing scenery and a great place for walks and activities if you so wish. Debbie could not be more friendly. See you next year. Andy and the Lads.

Saunters Nook is a wonderful property. Feels very peaceful and secluded even though there are other houses nearby. We visited in Autumn and it was lovely to be able to use the fire in the evenings. Peter always responded quickly and was flexible with check-in/out times, which we appreciated. All in all a fantastic experience and we’d love to stay again.

Such a lovely home, I could have moved in a stayed permanently. The space worked out lovely for us all and we throughly enjoyed our stay there. We loved the outdoor area too and spent many an evening chatting there too even in this winter period. Kelly was super helpful and responsive with any questions which made our stay perfect!
