In great location a pleasant 10 minute walk, via the riverside from the historic city centre, with its many attractions and numerous options for shopping and entertainment. Could accommodate baby if necessary and I will provide travel cot and high chair if required at no extra cost. However, guests must provide own bedding and other requirements for baby feeding etc.

Great stay, everything clean, plenty of room for 8 ladies getting ready, cooking and socialising. Only one small hitch for us was that the garden is very shaded with lots of tall trees which is great for privacy but did mean it was quite cold in as was shaded from the sun and the fire pit wasn’t working. Owner was very helpful and quick in responding that maybe previous guest had left the gas open and it had ran out and did say they would pop round and replace it but it was Sunday evening and we wouldn’t have been using it for long anyway would have just been nice to have dinner in the garden on the last night.

Great find! Fab little place with plenty room for four. Excellent shower, very comfy beds, everything you need in the kitchen, cosy lounge and dining area. Parking right outside. So close to the promenade and a stunning beach. The whole area is incredibly clean, the views are stunning and the people unbelievably friendly. Excellent road network for driving into Northumberland or up the coast, and an impressive rail system up to Newcastle. I have no hesitation in recommending Vikki’s place! Plus she was incredibly quick and very helpful when we had questions.

We absolutely loved this cottage, we felt instantly at home and it was a perfect break away after the busyness of Christmas. The rooms are spacious and clean, and well decorated. The host, Kimberly, was great with keeping us informed and answering questions. Loved the little touches like the shortbread and having all the basics there for us including a pint of milk. We'd definitely recommend this cottage and we'd love to come again.

A beautiful and very well designed property which is a true reflection of the photographs. The property has been fitted out to a high standard, with lovely details throughout. It’s split over three floors, so a lot of stairs and maybe not suitable for the less mobile. It was very easy to access with parking available on the Main Street, the use of a permit is a bonus. The property is above a lovely coffee shop and is surrounded by restaurants, bars and a co-op. Very well located. We had a very enjoyable stay and wouldn’t hesitate placing a booking to stay again. Raymond was a great host, very responsive and quick to sort out a minor issue we had upon arrival. Would highly recommend.

High Pasture beautiful cottage - stunning location

We (2 adults + 2 children) stayed at High Pastures cottage from 14 Nov - 21 Dec 2024 whilst waiting for our onward house purchase to complete. From the outset Peter was responsive and flexible with our changing itinerary which was much appreciated. The cottage was exactly what we needed - the kitchen has all the modern accessories you'd expect and the living room was spacious and always warm despite being in rural surroundings over the winter. The views from the cottage are breath taking and there are some great walks from the cottage right into the middle of beautiful countryside. Within a couple of minutes drive there are great pubs and restaurants. 20 mins drive east you have Newcastle and 20 mins drive west you have Hexham. We were able to continuing living our lives as normal (my wife and I commuting to work - Newcastle and Sunderland) and the children continuing at their schools. We're hugely grateful to Peter and his wife for making this possible for us. Thank you!

Me, my partner and dog felt right at home there was food and water bowls provided for our dog, towels provided for us, it was like home from home so cozy and so well decorated!
