Owls Cottage @ Brooklands Farm Cottages

MarkRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We loved the Owls, we had an amazing stay. Very easy to find, lovely peaceful location. Beautiful settings and extremely comfortable. Everything was perfect. We couldn’t have asked for more. The hot tub was amazing, stayed super hot all night, matched with the blackness of night. Luckily we had a clear sky and was amazing to see all the stars. It was absolutely perfect and exactly what we were looking for. Ben & Katheryn were very hospitable, even leaving us a bottle of champagne for valentine’s. Very nice touch and was a pleasure to meet you ! I have no doubt we will be back !

Remote Thatch Cottage on Dartmoor with Hot Tub

Eloise CarolineRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Wow! What an amazing cottage, so beautiful and secluded Stayed here with friends and my dog. Safe to say we all loved it! The kitchen was so amazing and the hot tub was nice and warm ready for us straight away to get in! Only thing we found was we weren’t sure if it was a family home as there was a lot of photos of family kids at the beach etc which we found it didn’t make it feel as homely for us just felt like we were in someone’s house for the weekend but the cottage it self and Miranda’s communication was perfect.

Cramwell Cottage, The Ley Arms

LauraRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Beautiful cottage with cosy but striking decor, really comfortable and cosy. Perfect for the six of us. Kitchen had everything we needed to prep a roast and the garden was small but perfectly formed. The local pub was a stones throw through a pretty village, with a really delicious menu. Only downside was no local shop for a pint of milk, loaf or emergency crisps. But I guess that may be tricky to sustain in second home areas. All in all a really comfortable cottage - thank you x

West Farleigh Dutch Barn

SophieRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Six of us (and Stevie the spaniel 🐶) stayed at Jenny’s place to celebrate a 30th birthday and we could not have asked for a more beautiful place to stay. We were absolutely spoilt with the (unexpected) sunshine and idyllic countryside views and we particularly enjoyed a walk of the surrounding area on the Saturday. The barn itself had everything we needed, and more, and the additional bits of luxury (cinema room, pool table, hot tub) made it all the more special. Jenny was responsive, approachable and allowed early check in which was greatly appreciated. As an extra treat, we hired LeFrog (a local private chef) for one of the evenings which we would 100% recommend to any future guests. Overall, a wonderful stay - and we’ve already spoken about coming back for more celebrations!

We had the most wonderful Christmas stay at this lovely cottage! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the spacious layout and how well equipped everything was. The cottage had all the amenities we needed to make our holiday special, from a good-sized kitchen to comfortable living spaces. Located in a quiet area just a stone's throw from the beach and cliffs, it offered us the perfect blend of relaxation and stunning views. Our host was incredibly responsive and made us feel right at home, ensuring we had everything we needed for a memorable stay. Whether it was providing recommendations for local attractions or simply checking in to see if we needed anything, their hospitality was outstanding. This cottage is ideal for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy the festive season in a beautiful setting. We can’t recommend it enough and are already hoping to return soon!

Having booked holiday accommodation around the world for decades, we can honestly report that Fish Cottage rates amongst the very best. Chocolate box Cottage in the heart of Devon

LizRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Jasmine Cottage was a wonderful little place to stay. Despite being a very old property the renovations have been tastefully carried out and it retained all the original charm with modern day convenience. I liked that it has its own self contained garden which was perfect for my dog. I especially loved the living room with its cosy wood burner and comfortable sofa. The kitchen was perfectly equipped with everything that I needed and I enjoyed cooking in it. The cottage was warm throughout my stay even without the wood burner going. There was plenty of hot water and the bathroom was always warm. Upstairs both bedrooms were lovely and the room I stayed in had a very comfortable bed and again was warm and cosy. The location is very rural and quiet which was exactly what I was hoping for. I had a wander around the village and visited the very pretty church. People I met were friendly. The purpose of my trip was for complete rest and relaxation and that’s exactly what I got.

Keepers Cottage - Dartmouth Golf and Spa

LisaRating, 5 stars20 months ago
We had a wonderful time at our stay. The house was very comfortable and clean. The house is located on high level- so not very suitable for wheel chair users or people with walking problems. The bedrooms both had en suits which both were lovely (both upstairs with no downstairs toilet). The kitchen was well equipped. The location was also very good with places to visit - a car is needed. There is a good size private outside patio to use with good quality garden furniture. With an additional grass section in front -children to play The big bonus was the access to the swimming pool . steam room , sauna & jacuzzi throughout your stay. The whole family really enjoyed it- you need to bring your own towels as they do not supply the towels unless you are staying in the golf club hotel. The Golf club has a bar and Resturant to get food and drink. The golf course was especially good. Very well maintained with beautiful views. Not expensive to hire and play. We would love to return.

Jasmine Cottage - Modern detached cosy cottage

JohnRating, 5 stars9 months ago
In one word, heavenly. A Family or small group trip to explore anywhere around Devon, this is definitely a place for you —at a good bargain as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this property. Modern house with state of the art facilities, wash rooms were great, large island kitchen with a befitting diner stood out for us. All beds and beddings were so so comfortable. Simply felt like home. Hosts Robert and Jane were great with communication so we didn’t need to call the host at any point as everything was as described. They also recommended places around, some of which were 100% for us. We would recommend a trip to Salcombe obviously as it’s a 20+ mins drive, explore the beautiful town, trip to north & south sands via the ferry and enjoy the lovely oceanic view. Highly recommend a visit to Crab Shell inn in Kingsbridge, don’t miss a trip to Torquay Marina, about 40mins drive from Goveton. Need to add that the roads to the village are narrow but in all, great experience!

Luxury self-catering getaway in Salcombe

JoyceRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Two of us have just returned from a six night stay at Garden Cottage. There was a welcome tray when we arrived which was welcome. The house and garden were peaceful and the gardens were beautiful even in March. You can walk down to North Beach in about 15 minutes and have a lovely cream tea in the Winking Pawn restaurant. You can walk down to Salcombe but it is a steep walk back uphill. Victoria answered our queries straight away. The cottage is a home from home, well equipped kitchen and lovely hot water in the shower. There are lots of National Trust houses to visit within drivable distance. Overbeck’s Garden is one you should not miss. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

Cider Barn - Idyllic All-Seasons Holiday Cottage

KayeRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The views from Cider Barn are so beautiful. We watched a barn owl hunting over the fields at dusk and dawn and the sound of a tawny owl whit wooing as I was going to sleep was magical! The living room / kitchen / dining is light and open plan and when I was there the sun was streaming in from sunrise to sunset. Loved watching the sunset with the owl hunting! Really enjoyed my stay here. It's an old barn - so the floor boards are a bit creaky but it is a special place.

Highly recommend! Had a lovely stay here. You can tell how much Christina and her team care about hosting by the effort that is made. Everything you need is provided and it was spotlessly clean from the kitchen to the bathrooms to the bed linen. Christina was very helpful and check in was easy. My 13 and 10 year old children loved the area and all the different walks you can do. Will definitely stay again and only wished I’d booked a longer stay! Thank you for a lovely break

The Cottages @East Underdown, Dartmoor National Pk

SarahRating, 5 stars2 months ago
A fabulous place to stay for a large family/friends get together. There is everything you need. Because it’s 3 cottages you have an option to quiet time. The large cottage easily accommodates everyone to be together. They are all easily accessed from the back. There’s plenty to do but if you want longer walks or pubs etc, they are only a couple of miles drive away.
