Beautiful location, adorable little house--the perfect place for my retreat! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and appreciated the little touches such as snacks and s'mores supplies. The river and view are so peaceful--while the pictures are accurate they don't do it justice!

Can’t say enough about Jake’s place. It was heaven. Beautiful sunsets on the lake. Awesome fishing. Comfortable beds. Clean. The back porch is huge and awesome. The backyard is an outdoor paradise. Our kids used the beach, the kayaks, the pier, the paddle boat, the pontoon. No complaints. Owners are the most gracious hosts and beautiful family. Thank you Jake for sharing your little slice of heaven with us. We will return ASAP.

We loved our weekend on long lake. We had a nice relaxing time hanging out, fishing, enjoying a fire in the evening, etc. Also very much appreciated how stocked the house was with small things we needed, but wouldnt think to bring, like ziplock bags or just common kitchen tools. Overall, a great spot to chill on the lake and Laura and Steve are great hosts who respond quickly if there are any issues.

Enjoyed our stay. We felt right at home. Easy drive to Colon to see friends and close enough for us to let the little one take a nap. We will be back! Side notes…. We did take our sugar gliders and they stayed in the cage except when we took them with us. Please please please if you take your pet follow rules and take care of this home. It’s hard to find nice places like this that allow pets and is this nice. We want to continue to bring our sugar gliders when we visit again. Mosquitoes are bad EVERYWHERE in the area. So just be prepared and bring repellent no matter where you stay. Just giving travelers a heads up.

Our stay was peaceful and relaxing ,good price and Brad is excellent host.

Great location and home. We enjoyed the direct access to water, the fire pit, and walkable to a nearby state park for a scenic nature walk. Home had a great number of rooms, beds and bathrooms. There was a large dining table for 8 people with large bay window looking out on the water.

Terry and Kelly’s place was absolutely divine! There were 6 adults and 2 children under the age of 5 in our party and we all fit comfortably in the space! Every inch of this home feels like a peaceful retreat! The beds were super comfortable! We loved the pretty sunrises over the lake especially after fresh snow had fallen! Everything was well communicated and we had no issues during our 3 night stay! We are even talking about a possible summer family vacation here after this stay was so successful! This is the kind of place you love so much that you want to keep a secret and all to yourself, but you just can’t help but share about it!

Entering through the front door, we felt as if we’d entered an episode of a Magnolia Home. Joanna Gaines would be proud of your design choices & finish selections. It certainly looks lovely & made everything easy to keep clean. We appreciated the convenience of a washer and dryer, the large, clean, sandy beach, & a newer dock - both bordered by a sidewalk. Your location was easy to locate & convenient close to main highways. The channel was ideal & tranquil offering a peaceful environment, surrounded by friendly neighbors. We spent the majority of our time on the patio, as it was shaded from early afternoon for the rest of the day. The fire pit worked great & having the firewood provided was a nice touch. Wendy and Troy’s lakefront cottage is a fantastic getaway. It’s well-equipped for a relaxing stay and offers stunning views of the serene harbor. The tranquil setting and private dock make it an ideal spot for unwinding.

Leah’s place was everything pictured and more. The property is bigger than it looks with many outdoor spots to enjoy. We enjoyed both the sunset and sunrise each day with coffee and serene surroundings. There were several kids of various ages on our trip and even they were drawn outside and away from electronics because of how inviting the outdoor setup was. Inside we appreciated the charming decor and cabin-on-the-lake feel. The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking and meal time. The beds and couch are comfy and the window view is spectacular. I’d caution anyone to wear a life vest if you use the standing paddle board or kayak. The lake is not as shallow as it seems in the channel and you will be submerged if you fall in. The water is lovely and you’ll see fish, turtles and even swans. The neighbors were friendly and inviting. Overall we throughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning again. Leah was an incredible host too! Always super responsive, helpful, and friendly!

Beautiful home with great hosts!

Casa de la Musica was perfect for our family gathering over Thanksgiving. The entire property has a charming musical theme with interesting art and decor. There were plenty of bedrooms to spread out and lots of open spaces to gather to eat, play games, do puzzles, or just relax. The kitchen was fully equipped with every appliance, pots & pans or utensils that one would need to cook a feast, including spices and condiments galore. I was especially impressed to find a standing mixer! The bathrooms were stocked with soap, shampoo, lotion, make-up remover wipes and plenty of toilet tissue and extra towels -- above and beyond any of our previous rentals. We also enjoyed playing pool and soaking in the hot tub. It was only 10 minutes down the road from one of our favorite state parks (Pokagon) where we enjoyed a fun toboggan ride and visit to the nature center with the kids. Shauna & Sean were very welcoming and responsive in answering all of our questions. Definitely a 5 star stay!

We rented previously and the second time around was just as positive as the first. Look forward to renting from this Host again.
