Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Stellenbosch Central

We stayed at Villa Stellendal for almost 8 weeks and felt at home: Tommy welcomed us warmly, instructed us and asked about our well-being every day. Our good fairy Miriam also always ensured fresh laundry, flowers and cleanliness in our beautiful home. The villa is cozy, everything is available, the kitchen is well equipped, there is a smart TV with Netflix and the pool provides regular refreshments and a Jacuzzi for relaxation. The villa is secluded and therefore very private. The location is central yet quiet. For all requests and questions, the reception with Anneke, Cindy and Hannah is also staffed daily and open and helpful for all requests and questions. Even if there were small deficits or repairs, Tommy was available daily and quickly and easily remedied the deficiencies. It was very difficult for us to say goodbye, but we will see all the lovely people again in October 2025.

First off, Belinda is a fantastic host—extremely responsive and clear in her instructions. In addition to Belinda’s great hosting, there’s a housekeeper and a gardener who are both incredibly kind and maintain the house in top form. The house itself is very spacious and even more impressive than the photos suggest. It features three large indoor kitchen areas and an outdoor Braai. If you love cooking, this place is a dream come true! The pool is wonderful, though it does occasionally collect pollen and leaves from the neighbors’ trees. The house can comfortably accommodate six adults, but we stayed with just two adults and a baby for most of our stay. It’s located in a very quiet neighborhood, just a five-minute drive from Stellenbosch. There’s plenty to do nearby, offering the perfect balance of being close to Stellenbosch’s lively city center while still enjoying the peace and quiet. Definitely a place we would love to come back to!

Can’t speak highly enough of our 4-night stay. Exceptional property, fully equipped with everything you’d need, wonderfully big outdoor garden with pool and loungers. 5 min walk to wine tram, 2 min walk to Franschhoek main road, yet extremely peaceful neighbourhood/st the house is located on, could hardly have picked a better location. Upstairs bedroom above kitchen/living area could certainly do with a fan, the only constructive feedback we have. The property manager/cleaners were extremely helpful throughout our stay and helped with flexible check-in/out which was greatly appreciated. Massive thanks for making our time in Franschhoek so special!

Our two-week stay in the spacious Farmerhouse of “The Hydro Resort” was a wonderful experience. Right from the moment we walked in we felt welcomed and at home. The house was well equipped and left nothing to be desired. The security precautions gave us a sense of security. Thanks to the good infrastructure, we didn't even notice the power outages that are common in South Africa. Stian's quick response to minor concerns showed his commitment to the well-being of his guests. The staff came every two days and kept the house clean and well-maintained. The view of the surrounding vineyards and Stellenbosch was breathtaking. Another advantage was the possibility to use the offers of the nearby "The Hydro", which provided relaxation with specialized programs and therapies. The proximity to this facility enriched our stay. This house will not disappoint! I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. The home is spacious, sparkling, an organizer's and entertainer's dream, comfortable yet with high-end finishings. You can expect to find that this home will easily match your expectations based on the photos. We are Canadian South Africans who lived in Cape Town 20 years ago. We wanted a space to bring family together. Taryn's home provided that and more! Even though it wasn't quite warm enough to enjoy the pool, it was well maintained. We certainly enjoyed the outdoor space by the pool, sipping our morning cappuccinos. We had so much fun playing table tennis, enjoying a braai and chatting in the spacious living room. The home is centrally located for seeing all the sights but neighbourhood dogs barking sometimes disturbed the sleep for light-sleepers. Even though all bedrooms are upstairs, we appreciated having a full bathroom on the main level for the less mobile family members in our group.

We had a great time at Mia’s beautiful house. She was really kind showing us around and was always available when needed. It was awesome for our little daughter to play with all the toys of Mia’s kids. Maybe good to know: The house is not in a gated community, but we felt secure due to the nice neighborhood. We can highly recommend staying at Mia’s beautiful place.

I rented the house for my wife, two kids and some friends. We had a very great stay and a good time at the house. Everything was as expected and described by the owners. We had a very good communication with them before and during our stay. They are so lovely and helpful. Restaurants are close, also grocery store and a mall. The beach is just 7 minutes away by car and around 20-35min to downtown depending on traffic. Also once a week the house is cleaned with no extra charge. All together 5 Stars from us! This place was awesome and so perfect for our family. A super easy walk to the beach, grocery store, and downtown area. The house itself was super clean and comfortable with all the amenities needed! The hosts were quick to respond to any questions we had!

I was travelling solo and had everything I needed. What a stunning little oasis in the niche of the mountain gorge. The sad part is I couldn't extend my stay as it was fully booked. (This spot is truly a rare find). John was a sweetie pie. Sorry I missed meeting Dedre this time round . Their dog Asterix was adorable and friendly. I will definitely be back with hubby.

We loved staying at Brett and Henry’s place. They sent clear instructions and great recommendations and were extremely responsive. The place has a gorgeous view of the ocean and mountains, the two bedrooms are spacious, there are two bathrooms and the shower is lovely. The complex and surrounding area felt very safe. Everywhere we wanted to visit was no more than 20 minutes away. Highly recommend staying here.

It’s a small but very cosy Place

Beautiful apartment - the view from room is absolutely breathtaking. Jeanette is a wonderful host who kept us informed and left some treats to welcome us: a thoughtful chocolate on pillow, some wine and water chilling and a friendly smile upon arrival. Big, comfortable bed and the huge fluffy towels gets a 10/10 from me! Easy to check out procedure - not that I wanted to leave made this a memorable stay! Thank you so much!

Like other guests said : the view is amazing ! We had a wonderful stay. Peaceful place, large living room and kitchen with all you need, comfortable bed in the bed room. Large window in the living room so you can enjoy the view and the sea breeze. Like a beach bungalow actually. From here you can walk to the beach, you are also close to everything (with a car) , crystal pools trail, betty's bay pingouins, ... The place is safe and quiet and you get a car parking space just in front of the appartment. Wieneke is a very kind person, she will make you comfortable and give you privacy. Thank you !

Just right, no other way to describe it!

We stayed 2 weeks in No 3 The Yard. Mark was the perfect host; his communication with us was excellent, right from the beginning when he welcomed us on arrival to when he said goodbye to us on leaving. The apartment is light, airy, clean and with all the facilities we needed for our stay including milk, water and a bottle of wine in the fridge. It has lovely private outside space which is perfect for relaxing. It’s nicely located in The Yard and the restaurants in The Yard are very convenient especially Mon Amour which we highly recommend. Secure parking is a big plus too! We have stayed at many Airbnb’s and we can confidently say the Mark is the most helpful and responsive host we’ve encountered on our travels.
