Lake house vacation rentals in St. Joseph

This retreat on the lake was absolutely perfect for spending time with extended family during a Notre Dame game weekend! The house was flawless! Everything that was described in the listing was exactly how we found it. Our host was super quick to respond to any questions we had during our stay. Very nice home and backyard. The pontoon boat and kayaks offered much enjoyment. Barbecue pit worked and all amenities. Firepit nice to light and have smores for the kids. Bring bug spray for being out in the evening. Neighbors were very nice also. Great vibe to the area. Would stay again. Highly recommend.

I’ve rented a number of places in this area and Riverdance was very special! The home was clean and well appointed with all you need. Location awesome - everything we like to do (downtown Douglas, downtown Saugatuck, Oval Beach and hiking trails) was 10 mins or less alway. Kitchen well appointed. The star was the pool and we enjoyed it so much! A pool with no fencing between the pool and the river - that is rare and GOLD! Todd was great to deal with and very responsive. Great property, great stay!

Such a nice little lake house! Honestly looked even better than the photos. I booked the day of a few hours before and the hosts were very prompt in accepting my request. House was spotless, bed was comfy, loved the pool table and backyard. Would love to come back with friends in the summer when it’s warmer out!

Howard is an amazing host. He was super responsive and accommodating to our large group. He had all the amenities that were listed on the property and more! We had more than enough towels and even kitchen appliances, spices, and utensils. His instructions were clear about checking out and our group had a wonderful weekend. We had a very nice stay this Lake house! We were looking for a place that would be my wife and I and our 2 dogs with easy access to a clean lake that was private and still had access to some dog-friendly restaurants, parks, etc. This place perfectly covered all those needs with a great open layout family room / kitchen / dining room (not common in many moderately sized lake houses) with plenty of room to spread out and lots of windows. It was also nice to have the kayaks, SUP, and paddle boat available to use. Kyle and Kelly were great hosts and we hope to stay again!

A great place for our extended family to stay! We had a big group, including 5 young kids. The place was plenty big, very clean, and well stocked. The kids loved playing on the sandy beach and boating/tubing on the lake. The furnishings were all high quality—comfy lounge chairs outside, comfortable sheets on the beds, etc. A lovely place!

The yellow retreat house was perfect for our quick stay. It was clean and spacious and we felt very comfortable there. The hosts were very responsive and friendly. We had a great stay.

The property is exactly as described and presented, which met our expectations for a quick stay in New Buffalo. The location is close to everything in downtown and the beach. The hosts are extremely responsive and proactive, as well. We enjoyed our time here and would stay here again!

We had a girls weekend and it was great fun. We enjoyed cooking for ourselves and playing games. The views were amazing…really the best part of the whole stay. The rental was as described and the hosts were very responsive.

Great stay. We had a wonderful time and the arcade games were a bonus. House was so cozy. It started snowing just as we arrived so the views were gorgeous-even had a few deer show up to complete the view. Perfect place for a winter getaway-cant wait to stay there again in the summer.

From the outset, this was a very enjoyable Airbnb experience. Geri provided a very useful amount of information about the property and area eateries, wineries, etc. The home was made available to us earlier than expected, was clean, very well-stocked, and ready for our use. The WIFI apparatus was robust and very easy to connect to. We truly enjoyed the beautiful, wooded surroundings...especially in mid-October...spectacular colors. We got onto the lake for some fishing using the provided kayaks. Nice bass in the lake! We used the firepit each evening, so the firewood that was made available to us was put to excellent use! I cannot overstate how impressed we were with the thoughtful outfitting of the home...kitchenware, toiletries, bedding, games, outdoor furniture, plenty of coffee, and more; everything we might want was available to us. Geri's husband John gave us a fun and interesting tour of their neighboring farmstead...highly recommended! Kudos Geri!

We loved staying here! The location was perfect for walking around New Buffalo. We enjoyed relaxing inside as well as outside. Totally cozy! Having the fire pit and hot tub were great perks! We highly recommend Deb's Place and would stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay here!! We actually told Vic & Jess we saw their place from TikTok ! It caught our attention especially since it wasn’t far from us here in Chicago so we had to check it out ourselves! The view and simply being away from the city for the weekend was amazing. Vic & Jess are very responsive and attentive which we appreciated. Their home is very clean and it really does make you feel comfortable and inviting. All the vibes are there! Would 10/10 recommend for anyone looking for a quick getaway even with your kids. Ours enjoyed it very much 😊

This is our second time at Samantha's Airbnb and we'd happily go back! It's the perfect place to host our big friend group while allowing us comfortable and enough sleeping space and space to be in smaller or larger parts of our group. Clean, well stocked, and overall a favorite for all of us!

My family and I were blown away by the house and its surroundings. We were a party of 10 adults attending my nephew's wedding at the Marion Magnolia Farms venue which was about 2 miles away. There was plenty of room, the kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed to make meals. Except the food, of course. Plenty of bath towels, blankets, etc. Bring bottled water. The backyard setting adjacent to the lake was tranquil and peaceful. The weather was beautiful for October (high 70's). We spent the evening around the fire pit making s'mores. No mosquitoes or flies. Yay!!!!!!! You literally will not want to leave!!!!!!!!!!!! But we had to get back to reality. For 3 days and 2 nights we were able to escape the busyness of everyday living. Thanks Amy for allowing us to have a wonderful mini-vacation/wedding celebration at your AirBnB.

Great lake house for our multi-family gathering. Pontoon rental was perfect for fishing! We caught our limit of bluegill each day. Young and old especially loved the swinging in the great room looking into the lake. Power recliner and couch made watching TV relaxing. Girls loved painting rocks. And our 3 year old grandson was in love with cars and toys to play with.

Second time staying there, even better in the fall. Surroundings are beautiful!

We truly enjoyed our stay at Dan’s beautiful home. He was responsive, friendly and his home was absolutely perfection for a little ski weekend in Michigan. A lovely 18 min drive to bittersweet resort and 25 to timber ridge. Very clean, comfortable, well stocked home with extra goodies like amble towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, paper towels. A beautiful winter wonderland off lake allegan. The home was great with the game table, toys and play kitchen under the stairs. The beds are extremely comfortable and plenty of blankets and linens! I highly recommend staying here! Great stay for a Notre Dame football weekend. The house is out of the fanfare about 35 minutes away from campus. Plenty of social space and space to relax in the home, in its back yard, or near the lake. Big kitchen, and all of the amenities you need for a weekend stay. Darick is a great host, and I recommend this to folks looking for the same use!
