It’s a stones throw from Porth beach and the entrance to the legendary Porth Island, where locals and tourist alike gather with their cameras to capture that perfect sunset. Or borrow our Kayak’s for an evening paddle round the island. The Snug itself is set into the rising hillside giving it the cosy and private feel its name suggests. Detached cabin in private grounds

Snuggling in a wooded corner of our paddock the cabin is a lovely secluded escape for two. In one of the quietest parts of Cornwall with complete privacy you will hear the hoots of owls and chorus of birdlife, and with no light pollution the night skies are magnificent. The coast is nearby, with the Fowey estuary just down the road, and glorious beaches and coastal footpath a short drive away. It is roomy and comfortable in all weathers, and comes with a private wild garden.

Recently renovated, cosy chalet located on a family friendly holiday site. The site and the location of our chalet is quiet and peaceful with lots of green space. Located close to the pretty village of St Merryn with places to eat and drink, and only a short drive to Padstow with its beautiful harbour, shops, restaurants and bars. Ideal for couples or families comprising; 2 bedrooms, decent sized kitchen and open plan living space, and bathroom with bath and shower.

Had a lovely stay at the chalet last week. Charles ensured he sent us plenty of helpful information prior to our stay and was always really quick to respond to any queries we had and was super helpful in resolving them. Chalet is in a great location for exploring Lizard and surrounding coves/beaches. It is also close to a bus route that takes you towards Helston (and further) if you want to explore, but don't feel like driving. We had a couple of rainy days during our stay, but the chalet was equipped with lots of games and books to help keep us entertained. Chalet was also kitted out with all of the items & utensils you would need for a self catering stay. Overall a great stay and the chalet had a lovely positive feel.

After a horrible one-night experience elsewhere, we found this gem of a chalet which saved the rest of our holiday! Kitrina only had a few hours notice to prepare the chalet for us and she did a wonderful job. 10/10 for overall cleanliness and fresh bed sheets! We couldn’t recommend this place enough. Chalet is gorgeous and cosy and you’re waking up in a peaceful holiday park with the sea just across a few dunes. Mexico beach is beautiful - we had many walks with our doggy, enjoying the cafes along the beach. We cannot wait to come back. This will definitely be our spot when we visit Cornwall a few times a year. Thanks Kitrina for being a superb Airbnb host! See you soon.

Lovely little place and great value for our family of four. A short stroll down to the beautiful beach and not far to walk into Hayle for pasties. We particularly enjoyed Gilbert’s Beach bar which is a short walk away and on the way to town. We were unlucky with the weather, but still the chalet proved the perfect base for exploring the local area. Plus it was great that we got to bring our dog with us - the whole family got to enjoy our holiday :)

Kittiwake retreat was just perfect for a few days away. The host Julia was fantastic very polite and provided detailed instructions for the property. The property itself was spotless and exactly as the photos with the most comfiest bed ever and the views over Gorran Haven were beautiful. If you are looking for somewhere peaceful to stay with great walks, great property and a lovely host then look no further.

This is a beautiful place to stay, fantastic hosts with great communication. Every detail has been thought of inside and the fixtures and fittings are of such good quality it was so cosy. The little extras left at the chalet were so thoughtful and made our stay first class. The location is within walking distance of the village and parking is a real bonus. We would not hesitate to stay again or to recommend.
