Waterfront vacation rentals in South Hero

This stay was just what we were looking for -- it was close to Norwich University and a short drive to Montpelier. Host provided excellent check-in, parking instructions and was quick to respond to questions. The apartment was spotless and spacious. I especially appreciated the links for things to do in the area and would recommend Falls General Store for delicious burgers, sandwiches, pastries, coffee and specialty food items. We also ventured over to Hubbard Park in Montpelier for a relaxing hike in the chilly weather and would recommend that also. We would absolutely stay with Ted and Hannah again!

The location is perfect with easy access to the Ausable river with brown trout fishing within 100 yards. Meg was friendly and responsive and made sure everything was smooth. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful Adirondack getaway!

Appreciated the hostess accessibility and responsiveness. It is a lovely rural property not to far from town and campus. However, the distance is not walkable.

June’s place is nice and cozy, great amenities including washer/dryer, beautiful views of Lake Champlain and Adirondack mountains. June was a responsive host and helped us get in to her place last minute with ease.

Great place to stay while skiing at Jay Peak. Really awesome to be only 10 mins drive away from the mountain. We were worried about the road with our 2WD car and no snow tires, but made it with no issues even after getting some snow over the weekend. We did park at the lower spot like the host suggested. Place was clean, cozy, and perfect for a ski weekend stay.

This is a lovely studio space with the necessary amenities for making coffee and microwaving or toasting a breakfast. In a quiet peaceful area near the town of Shelburne with the Shelburne Museum and Shelburne Farms, good coffee shops and a couple of restaurants. Very clean and nicely furnished. Looked like photos.

beautiful place right on the river! Lake Champlain and the ferry are a 5-10 minute drive, and you are able to bring your pup with!

The home was perfect. We had a girls weekend and everyone was able to sleep comfortably and enjoyed the beach area.

We had a lovely stay at Molly's house on the lake. The area is rural and beautiful; we spent days kayaking, cycling to nearby islands, and just sitting on the back patio enjoying the lake. Molly was responsive and friendly.

We absolutely loved our weekend getaway! There was a lovely jacuzzi and indoor and outdoor fireplace available. Cozy living room with big television to watch shows. Very convenient for a quiet getaway but only 10-15 minutes from restaurants and amenities. Would definitely recommend!

Jodi was an amazing host and it's not an exaggeration - the sunsets are ENDLESS! A few tips: bring water shoes (the beach is rocky, but as are any beaches on Champlain) and grab groceries on your way in, outside of the islands. There are a couple local markets but they are small and somewhat pricey. Best appointed kitchen I've seen at an Air B&B so rest assured whatever you stock up, there are all the dishes/pans/griddles, etc. that you'll need. Great location if you have kids, because the yard/dock/water is visible from pretty much anywhere in the house so you can make lunch while they play outside without worrying. Plenty of parking and easy dock access if you are bringing a boat.

This was the perfect spot for our family trip. Plenty of room for 8 adults. The house is private and there’s lots to do close by. We swam, golfed, hiked, and made day trips to Burlington VT and Montréal. The sunsets by the dock were amazing. I loved this property and would visit again if available.

The view of the lake is so serene and having access to it on the property was quite the bonus feature. My family knew it was too cold to swim but we were looking forward to the calmness of it all. Dominique let us know that she'd be around the last night of our stay which was a nice heads up in case we heard any noises in the main house above. They were very quiet neighbors! We took a trip over to Cold Hollow Sculpture Park during the day to visit during their last open weekend of the year which was a nice way to see some art and the surrounding landscape. Maybe next time we'll get a bite to eat somewhere but we had everything we needed to prepare meals so we mostly stayed put this time around. We'd love to stay again next time we're looking for a VT getaway if they'd have us.

Quiet place with ample parking and walking distance to shops, restaurants and the market. Our dog loved the radiant flooring

We really enjoyed our 1 week stay here! The heat was left on for us so it was warm when we arrived. Location is close to everywhere that we wanted to go. The balcony had a great view to watch the sunrise. The kitchen was also amazing and had everything I could think of using! It made it easy for us to prepare meals since we wanted to try using more local ingredients. Would definitely stay here again!

Great stay - we saw a bear in the woods outside! Communication was great, facilities were just what we needed.

Great place to stay for a weekend skiing at Mad River & Sugarbush. The condo was super clean, tastefully updated and with great furnishings & style. The location was very convenient. It was easy to access and well-appointed. We did not realize that the tap water was non-potable, and in retrospect had we been more aware, we would have brought drinking water with us. We would definitely stay again, but would be prepared with our own water jugs next time.

We spent 4 beautiful days at the Jay Spot. The home is well maintained and located on a beautiful lot with a huge yard. We enjoyed having coffee by the river and exploring the trails with our dog. Eric was a very responsive host and we are grateful we found such a special place in the NE Kingdom to stay!
