What a lovely stay we had at this amazing house! Great size for larger family get away. Suitable for mobility issues and the hot tub and games facilities gave a little something for everyone to enjoy! Not to mention the position of the house itself is spectacular for views as well as park directly across from it. Theresa and Andy were great hosts, very responsive, friendly and the check in details were simple. Will definitely enjoy staying here again!

We had an amazing few days staying on the farm. Elaine was really helpful as soon as we arrived, giving us recommendations for things to do in the area and having the hot tub heated up, this made it really easy to settle in. There was also a welcome pack provided on arrival too, which included Prosecco, biscuits and crisps. It also included a really helpful booklet, which showed things to do in the area, including walks, places to eat and other activities. This only helped in making us feel more at home As for the property itself, we were in the middle pod of 3 but it felt so private and secluded with great views all around you. The sunsets and sunrises were gorgeous here as well. The inside of the pod was immaculate on arrival and it had everything we needed. The hot tub was lovely, you could easily spend all day in it if you chose to as the fire wood was well stocked and it was maintained by Nick and Elaine every day. We could not recommend this more, it was a lovely trip for us.

#1 Country Escape with Sea Views, Ayr, Ayrshire

SamanthaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Fantastic - the home was much better than described and bigger than it looked in the photos, and as for the views - breathtaking! Clare was so helpful with offering advice on where to eat and where to visit. The house had everything you could ask for and much more - the kitchen had everything you could need and the bedrooms even had bathrobes, slippers and extra towels for the hot tub. I really can’t recommend this enough - we will definitely return.

We had a wonderful stay at the Swan Bothy! The rooms were incredibly comfortable and clean and the cottage was spacious, cosy and relaxing. The views onto the loch were serene and all bedrooms faced onto it so we all woke up every morning with a gorgeous view. The hot tub was a great size and the owners were reachable and quick to help when we needed help with turning the temperature up. We would love to stay again!!

House with private hot tub and views of west coast

MelanieRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We absolutely loved our stay here, the hot tub made it even better. Place was immaculately clean, no faults what so ever. Basic kitchen equipment which is all you need for a few days away. Plenty of restaurants, take aways and shop within the area if you’re driving so was able to have the option there if we fancied. Access was easy and it was easy to find, we both liked how it wasn’t on a public road etc and it was so peaceful at night. We were lucky to be able to see a sunset on our first night and that was fantastic, being able to be in the hot tub and have those views was just unreal. Even on our second night the weather wasn’t the best we still loved every minute of it. We cannot recommend this enough, we will definitely be back! Thank you both again

Cottage near the beach and town with no steps.

MichaelRating, 5 stars20 months ago
This cottage was wonderful and the host Anne was extremely helpful and responsive--we missed towels that she left for us and cheerfully brought us more (despite us not needing them). She was absolutely wonderful and helpful. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a stay in Ayr.

Lovely cottage in walking distance of Ballantrae beach. Cottage was very comfortable and had everything you need for a quiet break in beautiful surroundings. The stone beach is amazing - deserted most days, clear water and a great view of Ailsa Craig. It was a perfect base for our week's holiday - about an hour to drive out to Portpatrick or head north to Troon for the golf.

The Cottage, Whiting bay, Isle of Arran

AimeeRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Lovely stay at the cottage. Great to have outdoor space with table and chairs to enjoy our breakfast alfresco and a few sundowners on the bench in the back in the evening. Both areas fenced and safe for the dog to be off the lead. The cottage is in an ideal location for the beach the park and the licensed local shop “Bay Store” which serves a good coffee. 20 ish minutes walk to the pub “The Shurig” where we enjoyed a good meal. Would definitely come back to Whiting Bay and The Cottage!
The front of a welcoming cottage features a light green door framed by two windows with dark wooden trim. The exterior is painted a soft white, with decorative edges in a coordinating green. A small pathway leads to the entrance, surrounded by lush greenery.

Ayrshire Holiday Cottage ⛱

FionaRating, 5 stars24 months ago
Just arrived home after a great week in Girvan. We used the cottage as a base as we were visiting family and wanted our own space. The cottage was as described it was clean and comfortable. We had a rotten storm unfortunately and with the bedrooms being in the loft space it was a little noisy but obviously we can’t control the weather! We had everything we needed though and was warm and comfortable. The owner was very helpful and flexible to us possibly arriving a little early. Only small complaint was the small velux window in one bedroom let the light in quite early and we like it pitch black so maybe a blackout on those that don’t have them. Apart from that everything was lovely for a comfortable stay and very peaceful. 2 minute walk to a beautiful beach!

McIntyre Cottage on Blairquhan Castle Estate

RichardRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Very peaceful stay in a great location with stunning views right out the window. Great to explore the Ayrshire area, very close to the Burns birthplace museum, and to Ayr and local area. The hosts were very friendly over the phone, clear instructions for check-in and checkout and this place was the definition of getting exactly what you paid for with no surprises. The description on the listing, the photos and the T&C’s didn’t leave out anything. Only points for improvement: - the WiFi can be a bit slow - the kitchen has all cooking tools you might need but isn’t stocked with some essentials (salt, cooking oil, etc). Again, this was clear from reading the listing, but I can see how international travellers might find it inconvenient to have to buy certain items for their stay. Overall, a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend

Farrer Cottage on Blairquhan Castle Estate

EricRating, 5 stars8 months ago
How often do you get to stay on a castle's estate? We don't ever, and this was great. Great accommodation for us with three kids, in this really unique converted old building that is completely new and clean and cozy inside. It was a great, quiet base for us for getting getting to Culzean Castle and Ayr and also enjoying the countryside and paths and walled garden on the castle grounds. Inside, nice to have some space between the living space and kitchen on ground floor and the long hall if bedrooms upstairs.

My son and I stayed at the cottage for 4 nights whilst we went to watch the Open golf at Troon. The cottage is well equipped and situated in the beautiful grounds of Cloncaird Castle - stunning.
