We love our stay at the villa. It’s gated and private with direct access to the lake behind the house. On clear days you can see the three volcanoes at the lake. The house is surrounded by beautiful gardens. Very peaceful, you can hear birds singing. The interior is beautiful and cozy for the four of us. The house manager Juan is there during the day and took great care of us during our stay. We love that we are just a few steps from the center of the village with a church, market and few local shops. Santa Catalina Palopo is a charming, small, very local village. Just 10-15 mins tuk tuk ride away from Panajachel where you can catch public boat to visit other parts of the lake. We are glad we picked this place as our home base during our visit.

This place was absolutely beautiful. The ladies that came and cooked for us were amazing. Food was amazing and so worth hiring them to cook for us. There really isnt anywhere to get food from around the area. Josue went and purchased the groceries for us and made sure that we had everything we needed. I cant wait to book this place again.

By far the best Airbnb experience I’ve ever had. We came during a time where there were protests blocking the roads for hours and Daniel kept us up to date on what was going on, met us late at night when we got there to guide us to our destination. He even made sure dinner was ready for us when we got there after such a long day of traveling. Maria made us a delicious dinner and breakfast. The house was beautiful and exactly how the pictures looked. This is a must stay destination if you’re in lake atitlan

Somehow the pictures don’t do justice to this place!! It is way more beautiful! I felt like I own the world, with that view of the lake and the volcanos. The stuff were very helpful, very kind, schedule a massage for me and were there to answer any questions. Two things you need to know though, they were tooo many stairs to arrive to the house from the lake, and they don’t have a comfortable living space ( basically no living room!! Or they do have a small space, but the chairs are not comfortable!!!)

Beautiful house and plenty of room to spread out. There were 6 of us and we loved having our own rooms and bathrooms. Private and secure. The hot tub was a nice touch.

This is a gorgeous air bnb. The host has thought of everything and was very responsive to questions. The caretakers are kind and helpful. Our kids loved the hot tub and all the outdoor spaces. Beautiful landscaping and the lake is breathtaking. I loved the open-air feel. We stayed three nights and wished we could stay longer, it was so comfortable and relaxing. Thank you so much, Ana! Very large and spacious residence close to market and restaurants. While the city can be quite noisy, the space is quiet and peaceful. The co-host generously secured shuttle service upon request. We loved the rooster crowing in the morning and fresh eggs to make breakfast.

Always magical here. Second time staying, and our group loved it. Eric helps with everything, his cooks are the best, and his transport is the nicest to get to the lake. Highly recommend!

Miguel always there to care about our stay and each day he prepared the bath with clean hot volcanic water. This bath was awesome and made the difference in this stay. The place was the neighborh of the main street with artisans wich is nice. However for people who want peace, just to let you know that it was sometimes really noisy. The temescal was accessible with a cost. Internet was good to work and the place was rustic but clean and comfortable. Santa Catarina is a nice little town with friendly people. Our stay at Lake Atitlán was unforgettable! The views of the lake and pool were absolutely breathtaking, surrounded by vibrant flowers, lush foliage, and the calming sounds of nature all around—it felt like a peaceful retreat in paradise. The space itself was incredibly spacious, clean, and so inviting. The decor was truly one of a kind, with rich, dark furnishings beautifully contrasted by pops of color that gave the home so much character and warmth. Hans was a great host. This is the perfect spot if you’re looking to relax, reconnect with nature, and soak in the beauty of Lake Atitlán. Highly recommend!

This place exceeded our expectations, it was even more beautiful than the photos! The living space is spacious and breathtaking, with a stunning yard that offers an unobstructed view of the volcano. The kitchen was fantastic, and we loved spending our evenings cooking dinner and grilling on the barbecue. Every night, we used the temazcal (like a sauna), which made our stay even more special. Lesley and the groundskeeper were incredibly responsive, kind, and made us feel right at home. Lesley also shared local recommendations and kept us informed about daily events in San Marcos. An unforgettable stay, we wish we could have stayed longer!

Excellent Stay!! The staff 5 star Quality!!!

Joshua’s home was a paradise getaway. The views of Lake Atitlan from almost every angle were captivating. The architecture of the villa was an art of its own. The house manager & his son were incredibly helpful, gracious, & much appreciated in every way! & what a lovely experience it was to be boat taxied into town and back. Beds were comfortable, home was clean, and kitchen came equipped with anything you could need. We hope to return at some point, a definite recommend.

We absolutely loved the Jade casita at Balam! Valentín was there to welcome us when we arrived and made sure we had everything we needed the whole time. Balam is a little oasis, about 5-10 minute tuk tuk from Pana. You can also walk or take a Tuk Tuk to Santa Catarina which id also recommend if you have time! Definitely recommend having them cook you breakfast in the morning so you don’t have to run to town or cook yourself.

Great place with a wonderful lake view. The journey is a bit adventurous and you have to be aware that you live quietly but far away from the places. The hot tub works if you preheat it for a long time. We did not discover a fireplace, nor did we find heating or working air conditioning. Overall, the place is a dream and we felt very comfortable.

Beautiful and tranquil spot near San Pedro. The views of the lake were stunning, and the atmosphere was peaceful—great for relaxing. A bit removed from the bustle, but still easy to get into town. Highly recommend for a quiet getaway.

This place was absolutely amazing! You can feel the love they put into it! Everyone was so humble, welcoming, and kind! We even had a tour of the farm with Mateo one morning which was the cutest thing ever(must do). The rental was very clean and ready to go. If we needed anything, a text or private message and they got back to us right away! Food was amazing, waitress was amazing. We didn’t even need to leave for anything the couple days we were there! So much to do, so much to see! Jetski ride out to the lake, also a must do! Thanks guys!! * It is definitely worth the trip *

Excellent place, surrounded by nature, to relax, I really liked it.

Everything was excellent. Very nice and quiet, it has many amenities. Do not let the jacuzzi through. A very nice experience in front of that landscape at sunset. It is very close walking to the center of the village. The next restaurant is excellent. Carolina, the host is always very attentive. Highly recommend this Airbnb.
