Hi there,
I’m so glad you’re interested in HyggeStace ☺️
Hygge /ˈhʊɡ.ə/, which comes from an old Norwegian word meaning “happiness,” is about embracing a cozy, comfortable lifestyle—the Danish way. Whether you’re spending time with loved ones, friends, or enjoying your own company, it’s about finding contentment in the small, simple moments.
My hope is to create a warm, welcoming space where every guest can truly unwind and feel at peace.
The space
HyggeStace is located in a small, peaceful residential area right in the heart of bustling Hanoi. You can easily get around on foot.
- It takes 5 minutes to reach areas like Trang Tien Street, the Opera House, and Hoan Kiem Lake (the pedestrian street is open on weekends).
- It takes 7 minutes to get to the Night Market and the Old Quarter if you don't get distracted by the food stalls and activities along the way 😆
There are also many cafes and restaurants nearby for you to try.
There’s a pub nearby with a patio open until 10 p.m., and indoor seating until 2 a.m., so it tends to quiet down later in the night. You might hear some traffic noise since we’re in a central area, but our home is soundproofed, so it shouldn’t be a problem. Our quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m., as we may have other guests staying, so we really appreciate your consideration in helping everyone get a good rest!
Guest access
You will be staying in 6th floor, with a balcony and offering views of the serene landscape. A private bathroom right inside your bedroom.
The room features a sofa, TV with Netflix and YouTube, a large wardrobe, a desk, and a bedside table with a night lamp.
The bathroom is equipped with a bathtub with shower head and massage features (with both hot and cold water), 2 towels, shampoo, body wash, hand soap, toilet paper, disposable toothbrushes, toothpaste, and a hairdryer. We can provide a maximum of 1 roll of toilet paper per day during your stay, but please try to avoid overuse to help protect the environment!
The kitchen includes an induction stove, refrigerator, combination microwave oven, electric kettle, dining utensils, dishes, pots, and pans.
You will also have access to common areas: a fully equipped kitchen on the 5th floor and a laundry area on the 7th floor. You can drop off your clothes on the 7th floor, and we’ll handle your laundry and deliver it right to your room.
During your stay

Other things to note
Upon arrival, please locate the black lockbox at the entrance of the alley. The access code will be sent to you the night before your arrival. Inside, you’ll find a set of keys, including a magnetic card key, an alley gate key, and your room key.
We kindly ask you to review our instructions and house manual for a smooth and comfortable stay. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out at any time—we’re always happy to assist you!
ID verification is a must for all the Guests as per Local Law. All guests full name, government ID number/passports, will be required and we will take a photo of the ID to register with the local authorities upon your arrival. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining security and a safe, healthy environment.
Please note that Hanoi is a bustling city, so you might hear some street noise. However, this does not affect the privacy inside your home, as the house is soundproofed to minimize external noise.
As we are located in the center of Hanoi, the nearby theater may occasionally host music events between 7 PM and 10 PM. However, the volume will not be too loud, as the theater is approximately 300 meters away.
After 10 PM, the area becomes completely quiet. Our home is situated in an alley, and for added security, the gate will be locked after 10 PM. We will provide you with a gate key, so you can access the property if you return after this time. Please remember to bring the main gate key with you if you go out. Be sure to LOCK THE MAIN GATE when entering or leaving, especially after the curfew time mentioned above.
If you'd like to check in earlier, check out later, or need help storing your luggage, please contact us directly to check room availability. We’ll charge 50,000 VND per hour for the service, either before or after the check-in/out time.
Just a heads-up—we’re not always on-site, but we’re just a message away! If you have any questions or need assistance, let us know, and we’ll arrange for someone to help you as soon as possible.
