Stunning 4-bedroom home with "wild swimming" pool

GregRating, 5 stars4 months ago
We had a lovely stay at Francesca's home to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday. 6 adults and 3 children were easily accommodated, and the space allowed us to have a fun catch-up. Fran's printed information sheets were great, and allowed us to make the most of our time there. Friendly, responsive host. We hope to be back!

Spacious, comfortable Lodge near Carnforth

EmmaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Fabulous lodge, beautifully decorated for Christmas with a lovely festive welcome pack waiting for us on arrival. The beds were comfy and a good size unlike other lodges we've stayed in. Peaceful site which is close to plenty of restaurants and other amenities. Good communication from the host. We had a perfect family Christmas staying here and enjoyed it so much, we've already booked another stay.

Sleep 6 with swim & gym, free parking

AislingRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We loved our stay at School House over the holiday period. It was beautifully decorated with a Christmas tree and other decorations. Felt very homely. We cooked Christmas dinner at the Airbnb which went perfectly. We walked into town everyday which was only a 5-10 min stroll and there is also a good softplay for the kids a 5 min walk away by Lidl. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Family of 4 stayed 3 nights in October 2024 and it was just what we needed. Had some beautiful long walks along the beach. The caravan was home from home, clean and cosy. It had everything you could want for cooking a simple breakfast to Sunday Roast. Clean and respectful surroundings around the park. I would definitely recommend to family and friends.

£95 p/nt 15th /22nd March Ambleside jac pool /1pet

NickRating, 5 stars3 months ago
The house is in a superb position overlooking Ambleside with all shops and amenities close by. Beds were very comfortable and everywhere was warm despite some chilly weather. Kitchen has just about all the pots, pans and utensils that you could ever need so cooking meals in was made a lot easier. Having said that, the delights of Ambleside's pubs and restaurants are an easy walk DOWN into town. Don't forget the hill back home after a big meal with a couple of drinks! We wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Windermere - Private heated outdoor pool

AdamRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Our family had a lovely stay at Burrowbank at the end of the summer holiday. The house is fantastic with all the facilities you could ask for. The kids loved the swings and most of all the pool, while the covered (heated) BBQ area meant evening meals outside watching the sunset. Great location and setting, very private and we would definitely come again and recommend to others. Martyn and Christine were very helpful and went the extra mile (even posting my daughter’s disposable camera that she left behind). Can’t think of any negatives and we made some great/happy memories.

Great location, within easy walking distance of centre, shopping and restaurants Clean, modern, spacious and comfortable accommodation. Well equipped kitchen. House was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Perhaps some simple instructions would be helpful for use of TV and channel for the DVD player, especially for those who aren’t confident with technology . Would return.

Riverain Coach House

EmilyRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Would 100% recommend staying at the Riverain Coach House. We recently stayed with some friends and enjoyed local walks close to the house, a good selection of local pubs nearby but would recommend pre-booking to avoid disappointment. However with Penrith and shops being only 10 minutes away, it wasn't a problem. The house has been done up beautifully and is really well equipped. Christine was great, providing lots of helpful information before our stay and the welcome hamper went down a treat. Thank you so much, we would 100% stay again.

Large Family Lake View House 3BR & Parking

AnthonyRating, 5 stars9 months ago
I had a wonderful relaxing stay with my elderly parents. Georgie gave me so much information and loads of tips during the week, and generally was super friendly and helpful. Her place was warm, welcoming, and very well kitted out for a family week. The location in Bowness village is ideal, just on the edge of the busy tourist area only a few minutes walk away, and very close to everything. The bus stop is right outside the guest house which is spot on for the 599 which goes around the Windermere and Grasmere area and is a great sight-seeing option. Thanks Georgie for a lovely stay, highly recommend your lovely place and hospitality!

Beautiful 3 bed Church Conversion. Private Garden

OliRating, 5 stars1 week ago
A group of three of us stayed here and had a great weekend. It is a quirky place, there was plenty of room for us and it was all clean. The only negative was that it was very cold when we arrived, so a bit uncomfy until it had heated up, but I understand with energy prices so high!

Luxury Lakeside Retreat with Spectacular Views

EmmaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
A beautiful house in a stunning location, could not think of anywhere better to spend New Year. The location was amazing, next door is currently being refurbished but this wasn’t a problem as it was the holidays, there were no workers on site. I can only imagine once this work is completed the property will be even more amazing than it is already. The gardens are magical, but the advice to be careful and watch small children is useful as it is steep and not suitable for everyone. It rained none stop while we were there (can’t help the weather) so the large hallway was great for drying the dogs snd leaving our mountain of coats, hats and boots. There was a small issue with the hot water but Kate responded immediately and sorted it out straight away. To top it off there were four separate firework displays in Grasmere which we could see from the front window, lighting up the lake. A brilliant New Year. We have already checked if it’s available for next year but someone beat us to it!

Upper Oak House-with a hot tub

JudithRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The house was absolutely as advertised -5* accommodation with no expense spared! Very comfortable beds, well equipped modern kitchen and all bathrooms modern and extremely clean. The outside space was excellent. Safe and secure for children and pets alike. The hot tub was an added luxury that just made our stay perfect. Its location was spot on with shops, bars, cafes and restaurants all within literally a 5 minute walk so no need to drive. We will definitely return when we want to visit Windermere again. This holiday home is a great example of how one should be presented and run! Home from home! 👍🏻😊

Traditional Georgian House - West Lakes

SoumyaRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Amazing 300+ years old Grade-2 listed house with fantastic feel still retained. On top Joyce and Lucy are amazing hosts. My 6 year old even struck up a great conversation with Lucy and they started playing a board game of sorts :-) They always kept us informed, and ensured the house is kept warm all time. Easily accessible to some local villages, the beach and also just half an hour away from the Lake districts. Only point I will make is if they can offer a small kitchen facility that will be great for families. Having said that -it wasn't a problem at all as beverage, cutlery and crockeries were all provided. Plus free milk, juice etc. And we actually enjoyed some wonderful takeaways who deliver within 30 mins. Jasmine Palace - the chinese was great.
