This home offers a Cal King bed in the upstairs bedroom, queen size beds in each of the 2 downstairs bedrooms, and an extra fold out queen size bed if needed. The stars are SO bright, they look so close you could pluck them from the sky. We are definitely going to bring the telescopes the next time we come. I don’t think I have ever been in a more peaceful and QUIET surrounding. A beautiful little kitten welcomed us outside of the guest house, and the warmth and kindness was matched by that of our lovely hosts, who invited us to join them on their deck for a glass of wine when they returned from their trip. We often sat on the front porch of the guest house to enjoy watching the birds, jack rabbits, deer and foxes that roamed right through the yard. I felt like I was sitting in an old Clint Eastwood western—waiting for an outlaw to come riding over the hill. If you love the outdoors but don’t want the trouble of camping out, this place puts you right in the middle of the mountains with the comfort of home at your fingertips. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Eagles Rest Lodge was just a great escape to the woods. Beautiful surroundings in mixed conifer forest with views over a riparian corridor. Spent hours looking out the windows and off the deck and strolling along the trails on the property. Our kids loved roaming around the house and we got 6” of snow one night. The beds were comfortable and kitchens were well stocked with cooking gear. Very quiet and peaceful. If renting entire place be aware that you must walk through one bedroom (with king bed) to get to/from the larger living area in the Tree House. The house worked out great for our two families. Jill was very communicative and wanted to make sure our stay was great. We would definitely come back here to stay.

The cabin itself was cozy, thoughtfully arranged, and absolutely stunning—a perfect blend of comfort and rustic charm. The breathtaking layout, paired with the peaceful sounds of nature all around us, made it a true escape from the everyday. Our family left feeling refreshed and reconnected, especially after enjoying a serene picnic by the stream that runs through the property—it was the highlight of our trip. The surroundings were nothing short of magical, and every detail in and around the cabin felt intentional and warm. We highly recommend the stay, and my family will most definitely be back.

We really enjoyed our time at Dan and Julie’s place in Sleepy Hollow. We had the vacation we were hoping for including a relaxing, comfortable place to stay with our dog, and ease of location to our favorite ski mountain. The house feels like you are visiting family, and the host were very friendly, helpful and responsive. We will definitely stay there again during the winter.

Sylvia was very easy to communicate with, and always quick to respond. She was kind and welcoming. When I asked about whether or not I would need to bring coffee filters, she not only checked to make sure there would be some, but discovered that the coffee maker needed to be replaced and did so before we arrived. Cleaning team did a superb job and were immediately responsive and kind. The location is close to many beautiful hikes, waterfalls, Shasta Lake, and the amazing Shasta Lake Caverns. Highly recommend McCloud Falls. Also recommend Huff's at Shasta Lake, Yak's on the 5 is an adventure with the best burgers and tater tots ever, also great food at local brewery. Lots of choices. The house has an appealing open floor plan, nicely decorated and furnished. It has a great kitchen to work in. Good use of space. Very comfortable beds and pillows and light darkening shades. It is one of the nicer homes in the area. Beautifully updated. Nice deck and patio facing the river.

My family and I loved our stay at Karen’s cabin. Beautiful sights of Mount Shasta and Black Butte, peaceful, quiet and just a few minutes drive to everything in Shasta. The cabin is very well equipped with everything you would need. We came in the winter, there was snow outside but inside the cabin it was warm and cozy. Perfect!
