Family-friendly vacation rentals in Sintra

Rita's place was the nicest Airbnb I have ever stayed in. We stayed with 8 adults & it was very comfortable for all. This place has everything you could need for your stay including a full kitchen with all equipment, several spacious double bedrooms with extremely comfortable beds, air conditioning in each room, there was a beautiful back garden area with a swimming pool, sun loungers and a long table for meals outside. We spent a lot of time enjoying the outdoor space. There was also a fantastic barbeque outside which we made use of and made lovely group dinners. The games room downstairs was an amazing touch and we had such fun using it. The location here was brilliant, it was about a 7 minute walk to the supermarket and lots of restaurants and the beach. Everything you need closeby! We would highly recommend booking this place in Ericeira if you are planning a trip there. Communication with the host was perfect, we will be back! Excellent stay in the heart of Lisbon. Ariane welcomed us in an extremely kind and considerate way to her apartment, despite a later arrival than expected. Everything is done to feel right at home, it lacks neither space nor comfort or equipment. The very central area is ideal for visiting Lisbon, and quiet at night even though it may seem a little less secure than other areas of Lisbon. just note that the stairs are a little steep but as I think all over the old center of Lisbon. Thanks again to Ariane for the wonderful stay.

Great experience! Vladimir is very hospitable and easy to communicate. The house is very clean and cosy and has all the necessary equipment. We really enjoyed our stay!

Miguel’s apartment was great! There were 7 of us and we all enjoyed the spaciousness of the accommodations. The location was superb…close to the river, shops, attractions and restaurants. The apartment was fully equipped and very clean. We had a wonderful time in Lisbon and visiting the surrounding attractions. Definitely a 5 star accommodation and highly recommended. We've traveled around the world and this is one of those Airbnbs you'll never forget. We fell in love with Sintra 9 years ago and this was our first time back, since. We were so thankful we found this place. Great host, incredible location, and views!

Amazing stay! Awesome, communicative and KIND hosts. They left some goodies for us and they were delicious (thanks again). I took the best bath of my life here and I will return just for that haha. The area is amazing. Right across from a Shakar - who have the best breakfast tacos, and a few meters up is bom dia café and around the corner is a more traditional Portuguese cafe (the best). Jorge met us and showed us everything. Ana was always so easy to chat with. They have a garage nearby to pay or you can park with them for free - LITERALLY SO AWESOME! Definitely will come back! The villa is situated in the middle of vineyards in a small village. Fantastic location if you are looking for a place to switch off. The house was clean, spacious for the five of us and just a lovely hang out for kids and adults. We gladly return one day!

Lino was super responsive to any questions/requests I had. He offered a lot of helpful local insights volunteered much help (e.g., making reservations for dinner at places impossible to book last minute). The view from all rooms are simply stunning!! Plenty of dining options near by, a few minutes drive to many wonderful beaches for swimming or surfing. Supermarket is three drive away as well, which also offer excellent cheap but nice cook to order quick bites. So much can be said about the property, location, and the host. Definitely one of the better gems from all the super hosts I have stayed with and strongly recommend to any sizable group of four to eight.

Mafalda's home is just past the edge of the Alfama, but it's perfect because of that. You get a little more space, it's quieter, and you're only a few minutes from the Alfama. It's also right next to the train station - inside of which is a good grocery store where you can get whatever you need. Mafalda's kitchen comes with any amenity you might need; we cooked several meals there. The apartment is bathed in early morning and late afternoon light. Very well cross-ventilated. The terrace is perfect for a late afternoon meal in November or morning coffee in the summer. The furnishings are comfortable and solid. Nothing provisional - everything has good design aesthetic and construction. For two, it's great. I'm an early riser, so I appreciated the separate bedroom where my wife could sleep in, in the morning. There are stairs, but it didn't bother us - that's just Lisbon. Mafalda is an incredibly gracious, attentive host. Answered every question we had. A fabulous place to stay.

Annemie is charming and very kind! The accommodation is a true dream of natural beauty. All super organized and exactly as you see in the pictures, actually better than the pictures.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Nuno’s. We found the flat to be clean and well-equipped and the location to be really convenient. Nuno communicated with us frequently, both before our arrival and while we were there. We were a little disappointed that we were not able to enter the flat for almost 2 hours after we arrived and sat on our suitcases out on the street waiting for Nuno. He did let us know that something had come up at the last minute but we couldn’t change our flights and had no option but to wait. We were disappointed that he was not able to arrange for someone else to let us in. Apart from that the stay at Nuno’s was lovely and we would certainly recommend this AirBnB to anyone travelling to Lisbon.

Good location 10 minutes walk to everything at Cascais including the train station for going to Lisbon so after we arrived did not need to use our car .. Two Good size TV's one in the sitting and one in the main bedroom .. Excellent fibra optic speed internet .. Overall a very well equipped apartment with everything you need ..

Very well located accommodation, in the center of Lisbon where a lot of things can be reached on foot. The host was super responsive, very welcoming and super nice I really recommend this place for friends or couple 😊

We had a great stay here, it was perfect for our family vacation. The house is beautiful and very well taken care of, with spacious bedrooms, a large family room and well-equipped kitchen. The garden and pool were also lovely - private and quiet and a great place to hang out. The beach and train station were both a short walk, and Estoril is well-situated for trips to Lisbon and Cascais or to explore towns along the coast. Catarina was a fantastic host and Dona Gilda helped with anything we needed during the stay.

Took a big group of friends on a little holiday to Elsa's Quinta do Portal, and oh my god! The pictures don't do this place justice, it's even more beautiful in person! The house, the surroundings, all of it felt like a 5 star experience for everyone, and we weren't even half-way through our stay and were already discussing how soon we could go back! Elsa was incredibly accommodating to our early check in hours, and she even helped us book a table at a nearby restaurant with short notice because we weren't having any luck. Honestly cannot reccommend this place and Elsa's hospitality enough! Thank you, Elsa, for everything!

Impeccable exterior for this kind of rental, sun, swimming pool, terrace, fireplace-barbecue, house "like at home" with everything you need to live there, well equipped with household electronics, quiet despite the "Portuguese" dogs who often bark at night but almost not in our case, quiet in the neighborhood, the market 100m from the house and supermarkets that are not very far either, my favorite beach (Princesa) 5 minutes by car.

Fabulous villa and Aksel and Sofia were so accommodation to us on check in and check out. Always responded so quickly, great communication. We went as a large family with grandparents and loved our stay. Kids also loved the pool

A great apartment with everything you need, a lovely terrace and a quick walk to the beaches and supermarket is just around the corner. We enjoyed that it was close to the old town but also good access to other beaches! A lovely stay and Ana Paula’s apartment was squeaky clean!!

Maria and Cesar are excellent hosts. The accommodation is in a lovely and private setting with everything you could need provided. They were both extremely helpful, especially when we had a minor problem with our hire car, but not at all intrusive. We loved our stay.

It is a beautiful house, with a beautiful swimming pool. You have all the space and everything is there. Maria is also a very nice hostess. The house is on a busy road and it is useful to have a car. We enjoyed it!

The place was very quiet, with a nice garden area. We didn’t even feel that the owner’s family was living upstairs, since we didn’t hear any noise at all. We had all the amenities needed, and slept very well in comfy beds. The fact that we were allowed to use the parking inside the house was very handy. The communication with Angelina was very easy and she responded promptly to our questions. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a nice quiet neighborhood, with easy access to Lisbon and Cascais/Sintra areas.

Exceptional views of the ocean and sunset every night. Very good times with the family in the unmissable place of the house: the pool, a real pleasure when you wake up, at noon for an aperitif, and in the evening when you return from the beach!! What a fantastic house. Nice pool and very spacious house for our family with 4 teenagers. We enjoyed it. Lisbon close by Magical beaches 7 minutes Stores close by. And a very happy host ❤️
