Smoking friendly vacation rentals in Shinjuku

I've used AirBnB in a number of countries. My mom also hosts a few AirBnBs at her multi-family unit. I mention this information to suggest I am very familiar with AirBnBs. This apartment is great. We stayed for two weeks (taking a short trip in the middle). Great location in a quiet neighborhood. Close to a 7-Eleven for quick and easy start to the day (or to finish the night). Close to Ueno for Shinkansen/museums/metro. Close to Nezu, too (and Nippori). Host is easy to communicate with. Place is clean. The only thing I would mention is if you are a taller person, just be aware of the ceilings/doorways. I'm a touch over 6ft. Showering will require you to watch your head. Not a negative. Just wanted to mention. Please be respectful if you stay here (and anywhere, honestly). This country deals with a lot of bad tourists. Don't be one of them.

Good location. It’s near the train station and very close to GU, Uniqlo, and Don Quijote (open 24 hours). The room is spacious. I think it’s comfortable enough for two people instead of three. A good thing is that they have a washing machine, so don’t bring too many clothes as you can wash them daily. However, the stairs are very narrow, making it difficult to carry heavy luggage upstairs.

We had a lovely stay at Ted’s. We felt right at home when we arrived. His place was very easy to find and has everything that we needed. It’s a short 20 minute train ride to Shinjuku station. I would recommend this listing to anyone looking for a quiet and comfortable stay.

We enjoyed staying at Super Mario House. House was well maintained. Kids did use the Nintendo Switch. We ended up walking to Shibuya station everyday which was about 15 minutes. I wish the location was a little closer to the subway otherwise no other complaints.

This was a fantastic location for our family of four, including a baby. Quick walk to restaurants and sites, the area is beautiful! It was central to use the public transport and explore other areas of Tokyo. Mary was easy to communicate with, and we would highly recommend this spacious location to stay.

Stayed 5 nights at this Airbnb. The host was extremely helpful and communicative, with the apartment itself being exactly what the images portray. Perfect location for me and my friend, convenient and accessible. There is, however, an active construction site directly next to the bedroom. Be cautious if you usually sleep in, as you may be woken up each morning around 8am. Although each morning the sounds and workers would disappear at around 10am. Not too disturbing though. Would 100% stay here again. :)

it's a little out of the way, but the neighborhood is quiet and the place is quite lovely. i have stayed there more than once and would stay there again. the rooms are cozy and nights are very peaceful.

great location with a lot of local restaurants that offers awesome food. easy enough to get to the city and extremely quiet when you sleep.

Convenient clean place, close to the subway, walkable, clean and comfortable house

Great spot in a peaceful neighborhood. Host is an excellent communicator and was flexible with check-in and check-out, letting us leave our luggage for a period of time since our flights were in the evening.

Have stayed here multiple times and of all the places i’ve stayed in Japan this is my favorite. Very spacious and can easily accommodate large groups. House is clean and in a quiet neighborhood. Would definitely recommend and look forward to my next visit.

I stayed at Megumi's place for three nights. The place is in a quiet area in a residential neighborhood, about 5 minutes walk to the nearest subway. The rooms were clean and without any clutter. I found the bed very comfy. The apartment gets cold in December (down to 10° C). There is a gas heater that warms up the place up to 20° or more, just takes time. It enjoyed my stay, it was fun to experience a local residence.

Accessible and near Ikebuburo Station. Lots of stores and restos within the vicinity of the property. Being near Donki is also a plus. Host also responded to queries quickly. 😊💯

This place is in a perfect Location. It's in a quiet neighborhood with Lawson and 7/11 right around the corner. Even though you're in a quit area you are just walking distance to everything you need. Mega Don Quijote - 5min walk, Parco Mall which my kids loved to visit because of the Pokémon and Nintendo Center - 7min walk and Shibuya Station is just a 10mins walk away. The house itself is amazing. Its very clean and modern with many great features. We had a family of 5 and fit with plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen had everything we needed and the living room with the huge tv with Netflix was great to just relax and watch a movie. Two of the best features of the house that we used was the heated floors in the living room and the drying area in the shower worked amazing to dry off our things after walking in the rain. The only concerns I have are the indoor stairs are very steep for kids/elderly. We were very happy with our stay and Ayaka was a great host.

The host can be a little overbearing, but he was very helpful. Very peaceful neighborhood and convenient location.

Stayed the week before Christmas. The place was as described. There is a flight of stairs to get to the front door. Would not recommend for anybody who has trouble climbing stairs as the shower and bathtub are upstairs. Very large shower / bath tub room. The clothes washer is also the dryer. It took an extra drying cycle to dry our clothes. Super convenient to get to Shibuya lights and action. In quiet residential neighborhood. Good texting from host. Would recommend to friends
