Lovely cottage, very thoughtful extras to make us welcome (awesome lemon drizzle cake!) Lots of maps and leaflets about local places worth visiting. Beautiful place to walk the dogs. Very friendly pub just down the road. Very enjoyable stay, thank you ☺️

What a stunning little cottage. Great space for me, hubby and our dog. The cottage has everything you could possibly need and more. It was very comfortable and cosy and the attention to detail is amazing. The welcome basket was an added bonus and very much appreciated. It was just a 5 minute walk into the centre of Bedale and it has everything you need.

We had a really lovely stay at this characterful home — it’s full of charm and personality, which made it feel really special. The added bonus was how well-equipped it was for children, with lots of thoughtful amenities that made our trip much easier as a family. Check-in was smooth and straightforward, and the host was incredibly friendly and responsive to any questions we had throughout our stay The only small observation is that it could benefit from a slightly deeper clean, as we did notice some dust in places. That said, it didn’t take away from how much we enjoyed our time — just something to be aware of for future guests. Would absolutely recommend and would love to return

Treetops were amazing, we were welcomed with freshly baked bread in the kitchen. The place was clean and homely and warm! Would definitely come again, Lisa was an amazing host!

We had a wonderful stay at Sue's cottage on Market Square. Perfect position, for eating out pubs, cafes also butchery and a gem of a bakery around the corner. Would take my cup for a coffee and croissant for breakfast each morning. We did numerous walks during our week stay. Even took a drive over to Staithes on the coast. The Theakston brewery tour was informative in the history of this old brewery.Position perfect to travel east or west in the Dales & Moors. Loved it, thank you Sue for providing this cottage in Masham.

What a beautiful place and location! Neil was brilliant at keeping in contact and the cottage was so welcoming. We loved every minute of our stay and hope to visit again soon. Thank you so much Neil.

Lovely, clean, spacious lodge in a lovely setting with a perfectly placed hot tub. The lodge meet all our requirements. Plenty of storage space, extra bedding provided and all the essentials. Highly recommended.

Stayed here as a base for a day trip to Beamish. It was ideally located, very clean, warm and comfortable. Good recommendations for food and information about shops nearby. Melanie was a really attentive host, very reassuring to know she would be available if needed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we felt at home from the day we arrived. The cottage was perfect for our extended stay (a month) and we will fondly remember our time in the cottage, Frosterley and the Weardale and North Pennines area. Our hosts were very friendly, laid back and made us feel wonderfully relaxed during our stay. The cottage was warm, comfortable and well appointed and ideal for our needs. We would definitely recommend River View Cottage and the other accommodation in the courtyard to family and friends and we would definitely consider returning in the future for another break.
