Luxury 4 Star Cosy Lakeland Cottage

MeganRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Simon and Belinda were very responsive and helpful. The property was decorated very nice and mostly clean. Excellent location, no need to drive anywhere, pubs & the langdale hotel, as well as coffee shops and small co-op within walking distance. Great walks to Grasmere, Elterwater all from the house. Could have done with more logs so make sure to bring your own as it’s only a small basket provided. Higher expectations on guests hoovering the house/stripping beds etc before leaving than other places, although the house wasn’t super clean when we arrived. Parking is tough in Chapel Stile with most properties being holiday lets, the bonus of one parking space was handy but worth noting to find a second is difficult. Overall we had a great stay and loved the location, it was brilliant for walking and great size place for 4 people.

Ain House Cottage Sleeps 4 Pets welcome Hot tub

MartaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Felt like home away from home! Great location, cosy, warm and clean cottage. Particularly I would praise the fully equipped kitchen to cook. The fireplace, the comfy beds, we loved the area and surroundings ( and the bower inn pub just 5 min driving!)!!!!! For us it was a 9.5 out of 10! Not the 10 because we love Netflix and there wasn’t a smart tv to watch other channels rather than cable tv in the evenings, but everything else was perfect, fully recommend it and we will be back!!!!

Cottage with private beaches on Lake Windermere

KatieRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
A wonderful stay at the cottage, you can tell how much love and attention has gone into making this place an experience for guests. Location is great, just a short drive to Bowness, Windermere and a little futher to Ambleside. The hot tub was definitely a highlight and really appreciated Ruth and Mark getting up early on New Years Day (sorry about that) to get the sauna going for us. Thanks so much!

Rose Barn Luxury Barn Conversion with Hot Tub

PriscillaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay over New Year. From booking, to the welcome basket (and yummy cake!), hot tub and festive lights...every bit is beyond expectation. We visited Ullswater (more stunning if compared to Windermere in my opinion) and Lowther Castle, which are both gorgeous. And thanks for recommending Rheged when the weather is not on our side. Rose barn is a sweet and warm home for our family of 6. Hope to be back some day🙂

Contemporary yet cosy cottage for 2

GuyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Fantastic find. We booked this for a Christmas/ new year break and found home from home with Emma decorating cottage to make us feel it was just that. Extremely private in ever changing landscapes with weather conditions but that said had good weather for season. Got out and about on recommendations. Farmers arms a good local and friendly . Ulverston offers great alternatives in wet weather, canal walk, museum and crystal showroom. We ventured out to Buttermere, Wray castle and other surrounding areas. This break was an exploration for our future and now consideration options for retirement. Thankyou Emma for your help. Great place and host. Hope to be back. Kind regards Gill and guy

Cosy cottage with log burner

KerryRating, 5 stars4 days ago
We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful and quaint cottage located in a lovely quiet village and within driving distance of many wonderful tourist destinations. The cottage was exactly how it appears on the photos, extremely clean and well kept and I would recommend it to anyone pondering over whether to book or not. The only small downside for us was there was no secure outside space for our 2 dogs who unfortunately do not respond well with recall so a secure outside space is an essential need for us. That is just one small downside from our own personal needs, everything else about this beautiful cottage is just perfect, well worth the money and certainly worth a visit! David and Victoria passed on all relevant information in a timely fashion and were extremely friendly, because their communication was so thorough we had no need to contact them with any further questions throughout our stay

Pet friendly, two bedroom cottage in rural setting

AlisonRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Perfect place for relaxing in Lake District. This house had everything we needed. The check-in was easy, beds were comfy & the real fire made us very cosy. Neighbours are very friendly and there’s a nice short walk straight from the cottage. Local area had lots to do. Near coast and the hills, so best of both worlds. We loved Silloth beach (lovely dunes), Grasmere (great gingerbread shop) and Cockermouth (had nice Turkish meal and recommend Passion Nails if wanting any treatments). Kids also loved the climbing wall in Keswick & the playground in Maryport - as well as promenade there for scooters. The nearby pool was a huge hit - would recommend booking early as fills up fast.

Barncroft: Dogs welcome, dog care services offered

RuthRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We stayed for three nights, with dachshund Cooper on his first holiday. Jacqui’s lovely cottage was the perfect place to stay. It was warm, with thick walls retaining the heat, a thermostat we could adjust ourselves. There were plenty of dog toys and also dog bowls, a stair gate to stop dogs getting upstairs. The enclosed yard was perfect for Cooper to do his toileting in safely. The bathroom was amazing, with plenty of clean towels of varying sizes, a lovely, full-sized bath with a shower also. Each of us made use of the bath! Jacqui left freshly-laid eggs for us, which were amazing. Fresh milk also. She was friendly without being intrusive, very helpful if we had any queries, and when we wanted to buy more eggs. The kitchen was spacious, with a fridge-freezer, microwave, slow-cooker and washing machine. The bed in the large (VERY large) bedroom was super comfortable, according to Anna who slept in there. The beds in the smaller room were comfortable but slightly softer.
