Waterfront Home on Seneca Lake FLX Wine Trail

Duke and Katie Rating, 5 stars1 month ago
Beautiful home and fantastic views!! Perfect for a few couples to get away and explore this wine region. The boathouse is a great addition if the weather holds (I plugged in a small heater and it was perfect). Great amenities, kayaks, fire pit, etc. We stay at the finger lakes twice a year at different homes and this was by far the best location, easy to access both sides of the lake, Watkins Glen, and all of the our favorite wineries and breweries within a few miles. Highly recommended!

Quiet Upstate NY Waterfront Lakehouse

JohnRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Our initial place had a problem and we needed a new place fast. Dave had his place ready in 2 hours from time we contacted him, offered a place to hang out till it was ready. It was spotless when we got there. Bed and pillows were so comfortable. Beautiful view of the lake. We loved it so much we already book 4 days in the spring at Dave’s place to do some more things we didn’t have time to do. We look forward to returning! Dave - can’t thank you enough!

Just Us - Private Waterfront Home on Seneca Lake

LauraRating, 5 stars4 months ago
We had a great stay at Kevin's & Gina's private oasis! Close to Watkins Glen, hiking, biking, other attractions (boat rental, etc.) but feels a world away. Clean, well-appointed kitchen. Comfortable beds. We enjoyed the kayaks & paddleboards & my son enjoyed fishing (equip provided). We all loved sitting around the waterfront fire pit at night--you can easily see the Milky Way! Expensive, but sometimes you get what you pay for. Would visit again!

Shore Lucky at Sunset

SeanRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This was the exact setting that we were looking for. The house and everything about it reminds me of my younger years. I wanted to stay in a house that felt familiar. The bunk house was a blessing. Super quiet and cozy. The view of the lake was also amazing. It was easy to find and there are plenty of places to eat and shop. If you forgot something, there is a big blue store down the road which will have everything you need. The fact that we visited off-season, meant that there were fewer crowds for hiking and restaurants, but also meant it was very quiet and cozy. We could barely hear anything except nature while relaxing at the house.

Peaceful Lake Cottage w/Fall Foliage by Wine Trail

KateRating, 5 stars3 months ago
This was our second trip and we loved it just as much as the first one. The lake is peaceful and beautiful. The best entertainment was watching the osprey, kingfisher, bald eagle, and fish jumping. My kids had a blast fishing and enjoying the game room. The book and games selection was vast. We loved grilling and having camp fires in the fire pit. Tammy is thoughtful and sets everything up so you can get right to enjoying your vacation.

Watkins Glen Lake Front in the FLX with Hot Tub

HannaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This spot was absolutely perfect for a weekend away! We stayed here for our ‘Mini-Moon’ and it was everything that we needed. The hot tub was such a nice perk, the bed was so comfortable and the views were amazing. The owners were very nice and helpful and did all they could to make sure our stay was the best it could be. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again!

Waneta Lakeside South

EmilyRating, 5 stars4 months ago
We had a great time at this beautiful lake house. While there are close neighbors, they are quiet and the lakefront area feels very private thanks to the trees. The kayaking and rowboat were a lot of fun. The house has quality furnishings and newer appliances. When we had a concern arise (through no fault of the owners), Mary responded immediately even though it was nearly 10 pm. She made the situation right as soon as humanly possible (first thing in the morning) and her husband actually drove all the way from Pennsylvania to check in with us, though we didn't ask or expect this. While he was there he also installed a new lakefront ladder and chatted with us about area attractions. I highly recommend this home and especially these hosts, who truly care about their guests' experience.

Secluded Cottage On Seneca Lake

ChrisRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Such a great cabin! Plenty of room for 2 people and 2 80lb dogs. The views are amazing-you couldn’t be any closer to the water. There are docks and cabins close by, but it does feel private. Being October, there wasn’t too much activity on the lake..even with temps in the 80s! It made for a really relaxing trip. We were lucky enough to see a loon and had eagles fly overhead daily..we even had a beaver swim right next to us on the dock!! The cabin has a cozy fireplace (heater) and was well equipped with everything you need. The linens were soft, the towels were thick and the bed was very comfortable! Kayaking was wonderful when the wind allowed. Fishing from the dock wasn’t great, but then again, I am more versed in creek/pond fishing rather than giant lake fishing. I did have a great day fishing at a nearby pond in Hector on the interlocken trail..called teeter pond. Our host (Gillian) was wonderful. It was evident that her guests experience was really important to her.

I didn’t want to leave!! 😂 This was an amazing stay! The cabin was cute and had everything you’d need for a retreat to the lake, and the surroundings were beautiful and peaceful. Kevin was friendly, and met us at the cabin to give us a tour. He was also very responsive. 10/10! I’d definitely stay here again.

East Waneta Lake Cottage

RickRating, 5 stars14 months ago
We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend getaway at Joanne's lovely cottage on Lake Waneta. The beds were comfortable, and there were numerous places to relax and unwind throughout the home. We did not get out onto the lake, but the view of the stars at night from the dock was amazing. The kitchen was well-stocked with a Keurig machine, coffee pods and sweeteners, as well as ample cookware and kitchenware. The pantry was stocked with only the basics (salt, pepper, sugar etc.) so if you plan on doing any significant cooking, you may need to bring other spices. We loved the location - close to Watkins Glen/Seneca Lake, Penn Yan/Keuka Lake, and Corning. Joanne had some great winery recommendations, so we enjoyed our tasting experiences at several local wineries (if you love reds, definitely check out Shalestone Vineyards!). There is a store nearby for provisions, and there is a cute grocery store not too far war in Hammondsport. We would most definitely return if we ever visit FLX again!

Cottage with private point on Seneca Lake

CindyRating, 5 stars3 months ago
This was the 3rd year that Dina and her family graciously shared their property with us. My friends and I enjoy the coziness and family friendly atmosphere that is depicted in the photos. This is definitely a place where you can loose yourself in the vastness of the trees, the lake, and lastly the quiet. Makes for true retreat for the soul.

Cottage on Lamoka Lake w/ Deck, Grill & 3 Kayaks

BrianRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Great property on Lamoka Lake. Good information was provided before the visit. On arrival, the code for the front door did not work. I had to call Evolve's customer service desk. It was a little slower to get the door code fixed from them than it would have been communicating directly with a private owner as they had to contact the local people. In about 15 minutes they had been able to reach the local property manager who remotely reprogrammed the code and we were good for the rest of the stay. The second time I contacted them was when I found a small thing broken. Something that didn't matter to our stay but I just wanted to give them a heads up about and they replied to text messaging within 2 minutes. My only recommendation would be to provide the local contact's text number before we got there, rather than just in the welcome book, so I could have reached out to Paul directly when we were initially locked out. Overall it was a great stay.

Cozy Cabin on Wells with pond- close to Keuka!

KaraRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
The cottage is small but has everything needed for a great getaway. It was close to wineries and breweries. We had an awesome stay during an off season time and I'm sure it's even more enjoyable during warmer months to take advantage of the outdoor space. It really feels like the hosts are sharing a well loved home!

Gorgeous Newly Renovated Waterfront Cabin

Chris NoonanRating, 5 stars2 months ago
This modernized cabin was wonderful for our wedding weekend with family. The interior design is rustic yet modern, the location right on the lake was spectacular. We grilled and ate on the huge deck, enjoyed sitting on the dock and using the paddle boat. The hosts had a firepit all ready to go and we took advantage one evening, making smores with the thoughtful fixins in their welcome basket. We walked into Branchport to buy souvenirs and Penn Yann is a short drive away for essentials or dinner out. Warning: your GPS may take you to a nearby marina instead of the property, which is nearby. I was also surprised to get a separate contract from the host the night before, which I was expected to sign. I also didn't get the host's "Welcome Packet" until the night before with the checkin details. These things should have been sent weeks in advance. Other than that, highly recommend!

Cozy Cayuga Lake Cabin (east) with level 90' beach

SarahRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We spent a week at this beautiful spot. It was the perfect location to Ithaca and all the great hiking in the surrounding area. Usually spent the first part of the morning relaxing on the deck with a cup of coffee admiring the lake and the wildlife. Cheryl and her crew were great at communicating with us prior to our arrival. We had no issues while we were there and would definitely stay here again.

Tiny pond side cabin off-grid near Fingerlakes

NikiRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Little Cabin in the Big Woods was a dream! Very quiet, peaceful, and private. We loved taking the canoe on the pond when the sun peeked out. It rained and was quite chilly most of the time, but the large wood fire stove inside and the covered porch made it fun and very cozy. The cabin is spacious, and the natural light made it easy to see during the day, including a bathroom skylight which was a nice touch. The bed was very comfortable and we used the kitchenette as well. We enjoyed the simplicity of the off-grid cabin, and the hosts were always responsive to our questions. We found the guide book as we were checking out, so grab that when you arrive and you'll be good to go. The walk from the car was less intimidating than we imagined, just a quick path that we could see from the clearing. This spot was exactly what we needed to get away for the weekend, and enjoy Watkins Glen and the Finger Lakes' scenery and wine nearby. We wish we could have stayed longer, it's absolutely beautiful

Finger Lakes: Lamoka Hideaway

AliciaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Our stay at this cabin was the perfect getaway! From the moment we arrived, Ken, the host, made us feel at home by giving us a tour of the stunning property and showing us all the wonderful amenities. The cabin itself was incredibly cozy, spotlessly clean, and had such a warm, inviting atmosphere. We loved that there was both a cabin and a bungalow on the property—it gave us so much space to enjoy. One of the highlights was the firepit that Ken had already set up for us, along with a delightful s'more bar. It was such a thoughtful touch that made our nights by the fire extra special. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and can’t wait to return!"
