Family-friendly vacation rentals in Sand City

A quick and very enjoyable stay in this cozy, home-like setting. The kitchen is well stocked with quality pots and pans, dishes etc. All amenities like washer-dryer, bbq and tv are in good working order. Comfortable private patio and deck areas with a well maintained spa and pleasant landscaping. The location couldn't be better on a quiet street with easy access to the beach. Shamal was very responsive to any questions we had. We would love to return for a longer stay.

Two families with 2 littles kids each (3-8yo) stayed there and it was perfect for us. The house is very spacious, perfect for the 8 of us. Nearby Boardwalk and other fun locations to enjoy with the kids. We picked some tomatoes and a couple of asian pears for breakfast and they were delicious. The kitchen is very well provisioned with lots of utensils and condiments that made our meals much better. Thank you Sun and family! I was a little bit scared with the almost 3 years old when I read some reviews, but he did great. He was interested in some National Geographic books in the living room and I hope we put them back in the right place :) looking forward to come back in the future.

Wonderful house and host! We traveled to Monterey with our three children and my mother in law. House was comfortable for all of us. The backyard was such a lovely space. Hot tub was awesome. Location was close to downtown Monterey, warf, aquarium while also being in a quiet residential neighborhood. Also a short trip to Carmel. Host was very responsive. We would stay here again!

Sea Otter Cottage is clean, tastefully decorated, well appointed and very homey. The back yard is beautiful and very relaxing, offering more living space and a chance to enjoy being outside. We also enjoyed the side deck and the front porch! The cottage is located a short walk from the beach and a reasonable drive from many parks and attractions. The area seems safe and peaceful. Shari is very welcoming and easy to communicate with. She seems to want her guests to be very happy! She even has homemade cookies on arrival. We would highly recommend this rental and look forward to our next visit!

This was an amazing stay. My husband and I loved how thoughtfully detailed the cottage is. The eggs and full cabinet of spices and kitchen cooking utensils and machines was incredible for us since we like to keep cooking on our travels. Really enjoyed the fireplace and cosying up on our winter getaway. Thanks Pam!

Erin’s place was perfect for us. The place was super clean, well furnished, cosy with great beds and bedding — and Erin was so easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again.

Best beach vibe! The location is amazing, great walkable neighborhood, lots to do. The house was fantastic, with so many thoughtful details. Joyce is a pro. She was super responsive and gave us great recommendations that made the stay perfect. My young kids (Age 9 and 6) loved the place - especially the downstairs living room and hot tub. Will stay here again!

What a perfect little spot for two nights! We loved how close to the ocean the cottage was (you can hear the ocean at night), and really appreciated how “remote” it felt even though it’s still only 10 minutes off the highway. Fully stocked kitchen to cool all your meals and unwind!

I loved the guesthouse! It was cozy and felt a little like home. I love how open it is- perfect with young kids in the house with us. And the dog toys and how dog friendly the home was- was amazing! Would love to come back soon!

What a beautiful setting! Tucked away on a stunning property yet close to so many places. It was so peaceful. Wonderful to hear the birds singing and get a visit from the adorable, friendly dogs. Ours hosts were kind and responsive. We had a great stay!

Amazing Airbnb. Jane’s place was the perfect stay for our Thanksgiving dinner at friends. Master bed was so comfortable and the blow up off the ground mattress was just as comfy for my 36 year old son. Kitchen had the right essentials for our short getaway. It’s always nice to have coffee, creamer and sugar upon arrival. There was a “Park” pass, which we used for parking for our beach walks. Bonus there. $10.00 parking otherwise. I wouldn’t have changed a thing. I highly recommend Jane’s place for your stay! 5 stars all the way around. We will be back!

Annie was a great host and the place was exactly as described and just what we needed for a relaxing beach getaway. We loved the hot tub in the backyard and the beach cottage feel of the place. Thank you for hosting us!

We loved our stay at the Gorgeous Bungalow! What a great location - a short walk to a variety of beaches, the iconic E. Cliff Drive for miles of strolling and watching surfers. Close to coffee shops, restaurants, with nearby Capitola and all it has to offer. We walked everywhere. And the house itself is bright and inviting! Fully outfitted kitchen even includes a coffee grinder. The outdoor shower and bathtub were novel and fun, and everyone enjoyed watching the koi and turtles in the pond. We are so glad we found this place; exceptional in every way. Jeremy is the perfect host, always available and responsive, yet gave us plenty of space. So grateful we found the Gorgeous Bungalow!

This place was amazing! I would love to stay here again and I would recommend it to everyone! The view off of the back porch is great, even the little walk to the house is perfect. Couldn't have been better!

It's a great place, right by the ocean! Lisa was very responsive and friendly, and check-in and check-out went smoothly. The house is beautiful and clean. Family-friendly, with access to tennis, volleyball, and basketball courts within a 10-minute walk by the beach, all as advertised. Peaceful and quiet location. Amazing ocean views from the living room, dining room, and master bedroom. We saw seals! Would come here again, thank you.

Just what I was looking for in a peaceful place to relax and disconnect from work and the stresses of life.

This was the cleanest AirBnB we've ever stayed in! Pristine! Tidy! Stunning ocean views from both the living room & primary bedroom. The entire villa has been remodeled yet still has the Old World Charm and coziness. This Villa is located on the 2nd floor of North Bluff - is very private - has a pool jacuzzi just steps away. The resort offers many amenities, restaurant, bar, room service (or pick up) massage, sauna - endless. Aptos Village is right across the street - walking distance offering many shops, market and a great place for pizza and Italian food. We will definitely stay with Sue again - as soon as we can! Next time, we'll try her other property #33. Sue is a GREAT hostess in every area and has earned Super Host many times over!

Beautiful location very comfortable and clean. It was especially nice to be settled in a quiet area with the privacy of separation from the main house with plenty of blinds/curtains. Easy access from the road with adequate parking. What was truly nice for my longer trip was the ability to do laundry at the back of the property...Not going home with that in mind was very nice indeed.

What a great find in an out of the way place. Would love to come in summer but honestly, it was great cool weather to enjoy the house and view of the ocean. Saw seals and dolphins and birds, barely any humans! Best find was Pezzini Farms right outside the colony. Go there for good food!

Gorgeous apartment, like staying in a 5* spa hotel, only better! This was our little relaxing treat at the end of our California road trip and it was beyond our expectations. Very comfortable, beautifully styled and appointed apartment with a wonderful view of the Ocean from the roof terrace - perfect place to watch sunset with a glass of wine and to watch sunrise with our morning cuppa (we did both of course!) and with a lap pool and hot tub for our private use. Host always on hand to help if needed. Lovely hospitality basket provided. Highly recommended

Staying at Seascape was the perfect kid-friendly vacation. The pool was easy to access from our condo and the views were beautiful. The condo's set-up with two bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs and a half bath downstairs was great for our family of 5. The private beach was beautiful - we saw otters, whales, and my son found two perfect sand dollars walking down the beach. It was a little bit of a trek to get down to the beach with three little kids and all the beach gear, but once we were there no one wanted to leave. Several near-by restaurants were delicious, especially the newly opened Dos Pescados. It was fairly easy to get into Santa Cruz too, but we did have to time traffic or it would double the drive time (to almost 45 minutes).
