Serene Retreat with Pool, Jacuzzi & Gives Back

We stayed here for a family of four trip for one week. The location was great, it was easy to walk to the historic center and to restaurants, sites, grocery, etc. The home is in a gated residential community, so very quiet and safe. The home had everything we needed, very comfortable and everything was in good working condition. Our kids enjoyed the pool when we were not sightseeing. The cleaning service was great and they came when convenient for us. The host was very responsive when asked for recommendations on hikes in the area. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay in Antigua and this was a great place to unwind at when we were done for the day.

Great quiet stay. It was nice to be able to leave the front windows open the entire stay. It was that quiet. Yet still 15 minute walk to the heart of the city. Kitchen was small but as shown in the photos. 2 of the burners work pretty well. The couch is a little different than in the photo, it’s a bit smaller. Nice having two beds. Place was clean. Quick communication. Thanks for the great stay.

Historic Casa Blanca! Two Blocks from the Park!

Honestly can’t find the words to describe how much we loved our stay in this beautiful home right in the heart of Antigua. George and Jose were amazing to communicate with and very attentive. The house is located in the most ideal location if you plan you walk during your stay. It’s within walking distance of many restaurants, bars, and Central Park. Just remember all block are long in Antigua but you’re always within 1 or 2 blocks of whatever you need. All rooms were super clean and comfortable. The master bedroom has the most beautiful view of the volcano from the windows or upstairs balcony. The kitchen is beautiful with all appliances you’ll need. We loved our stay here and will definitely be coming back!

Excellent place, very large, nice rooms, the entire apartment is very clean and nice, the location is ideal since it gets off in the elevator and the shopping center is located so it is accessible to go shopping or for food, I highly recommend it and the host is the best I have found in the app.

If you want stunning views, and some peaceful surroundings, stay here! You can see Volcán de Auga, Fuego and Acatenango! I had just hiked Acatenango and chose this place to relax mainly. At night you can see the lava on Fuego, it's amazing! The bed was comfortable, nice bathroom and kitchen. Gorgeous pool, again facing the most incredible view. It is a bit remote, but if you have a car, then you're fine, otherwise they can arrange Jose or Israel to get you to town or the airport. There are a few restaurants that you can walk to as well. I felt totally safe there travelling as a solo female, and the locals I passed by on my walks were so lovely. Overall such a beautiful relaxing place to stay. The hosts were great and responded quickly and arranged my transfers.

The home was really lovely. Like many homes in Antigua, it features a central open courtyard, with a beautiful fountain and garden with mature plants and trees. Each bedroom opens to the private courtyard, and the other living areas are open to it too -- so with the exception of the kitchen, which is tucked in the back of the home, the house is very open which takes some getting used to. But it is well-appointed, and the house manager, Miriam, was wonderful to work with; as we are not Spanish speakers, she helped us with everything we needed using Google translate on our phones. A big plus was having access to large tanks of bottled water for drinking and fans for each room. The rooftop deck was a great feature -- relaxing surroundings with beautiful views of the mountains.

Also, Boris responds quickly and very friendly and even has a bathroom and a half in case a family or several people go... but you should go by car, it's easier to get around. El Solar is one of the best places we have ever stayed at, if not the best. First of all, we were greeted by the staff upon our arrival at night time when they were already not supposed to be working. We were very impressed by how well they treated us. They made us feel at home all the time. They were great and extremely helpful at all times. The apartment was very clean and beautiful, even nicer than in the pictures. It was so amazing! It was like a 5 star hotel, but better. Everything was perfect from the patio, porch, to the interior of the house. The towels were white and so were the bed linens. They had new bottles of soap and conditioner in every bathroom, dish washing soap and drinking water. We had never received such a personalized attention before. We have nothing but wonderful things to say about this place and the staff. We highly recommend it and would stay there again if we ever go back to Guatemala. We had a great time! Thanks so much for everything!!!

I’m not usually a nature enthusiast, but WOW—this experience was incredible! It literally felt like we were in a treehouse. So peaceful and relaxing, a perfect escape from the hustle of Antigua (which is just an easy 15-minute Uber ride away). The property is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views everywhere you look. The on-site café serves food, but I’d definitely recommend bringing some groceries if you’re arriving in the evening—try to check in before 6 PM! There was a slight gassy smell, but honestly, that was such a small thing compared to how amazing everything else was. Perfect place to disconnect from the world and reconnect with yourself and/or partner. If you’re looking for a unique stay that blends adventure with tranquility, this is the place.
