Very clean, the host was very attentive, there was a water problem that was beyond the owner's control but they resolved it in time and everything was excellent

We stayed in the house next to the pool, the accommodation met all our expectations, it is very spacious, the kitchen had everything necessary to organize our meals and the views are spectacular. The rooms are a good size and well lit. We were also lucky enough to be able to participate in an event/meeting that John had organized and that included a very complete dinner in a super family atmosphere. I recommend asking John about his events and trying to coordinate your stay with one of them to live that experience too. Thank you for everything John, we will definitely be back!

We loved Casa Alegre! The view of San Juan del Sur is spectacular and the house is super comfortable. Rudy was very attentive from the beginning, and Alex was always willing to help, even with shopping so we only focused on enjoying ourselves. But what really made the difference was having Doña Carmen and Doña Esther: they spoiled us with all the delicious Nicaraguan cuisine we asked for, kept everything impeccable and were always attentive to our tastes. We recommend hiring them without thinking, their warmth and attention make the experience unforgettable. Thank you very much Rudy, Alex, Carmen and Esther for making our stay so special!

Excellent place by the ocean!

Great unit to stay. If you need to check out before 8:00 AM make sure you arrange it with the staff. I did not know this and it was a bit of a hassle to check out and had to leave 45 minutes later then I wanted to leave.

My family and I enjoyed a few days of rest and peace. We are very grateful for your attention to all the details. Bridget and the villa staff were very attentive to our inquiries and requests. We will definitely be back. Thank you !

Very nice place, quiet and in a very nice area close to nature.

The house is amazing, you have access to the beach right in front of you, only recommendation for anybody is to bring your own food from a local supermarket as there is an hour drive off road(4x4 recommended) after reaching san juan, the place is very private, you have the beach for yourself, the house is very clean, enough rooms, and spacious. Local housekeeper was very useful as he can go buy you items at extra cost while you enjoy your time, final score 10/10.

We had a very nice stay at Casa Pocahontas and felt right at home. The house is decorated with a lot of love and is located about 10-15 minutes walk from Playa Maderas. We spent a lot of time in the open living area with the huge terrace. A great place to relax, read a book or watch the wildlife in the jungle. The kitchen, bathroom and bedroom were well equipped. There was even a yoga mat and blackrolls. If we had any questions, Sebastian was always available and due to the keybox the check in/out was very flexible and uncomplicated. We can only recommend the Casa and would definitely come back again.

We had a great stay in this beautiful home! The view from the back of the house is captivating. The pictures do not do it justice. Definitely more than what we imagined and really happy we chose this place to stay while in SJDS. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be going back. Just a few minutes drive to the beach, local restaurants and bars.

Very nice stay! thanks to omar & the housekeeper jose, which always helpef us out, if we needed something. The facilities are great, especially the pool and the kitchen. Would stay there again!

We stayed at CasAnika for three weeks and had an amazing time! The house is spacious, clean, and cozy, with a beautiful terrace and a well-equipped kitchen. The Wi-Fi was great for remote work, and we loved the pool area and the friendly dogs and cats. Tony was a fantastic host, always helpful and full of great tips. The location is quiet, private and ideal, within walking distance to Maderas and Marsella beaches. We rented a scooter for trips to town but rarely needed to go as the area was so peaceful. Highly recommend!

Casa Makai was a true jungle paradise! The house itself was beautifully designed, even better than the photos, with comfy beds and a well-equipped kitchen. The outdoor space was amazing, perfect for relaxing in the hammock. It's a short 10min walk to Playa Maderas (great for surfing) and 3 min walk to Buena Vista Surf Club (excellent yoga). Laura was a fantastic host, very accommodating. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful place. The view is so beautiful. Everything about this place was perfect. Pool area is very nice. The walk to restaurants and stores is easy and short. We wanted to stay longer but the house had someone else coming in. I would highly recommend staying here you will not be disappointed. Also, it is probably the best location to be. Go and enjoy!!!!

Everything about the place was perfect from my perspective – the location, the amenities, and especially Franco the caretaker. He was just fantastic and so accommodating. I really appreciated him letting me into the house early - I didn’t even ask and wasn’t expecting it and was just planning to spend the day on the beach. He was just a joy to work with. The beach, as others have noted, is barely 2 minute’s walk from the house and is pretty and uncrowded yet so convenient to San Juan del Sur. The restaurants are very good and the service is great and very friendly (a little pricey by Nica standards but still reasonable). I have been around Nicaragua plenty and disagree with the recent review suggesting that the property is not a good value. The impeccable pool alone justifies the price, the location is excellent, and the house is spacious, clean, comfortable and with well functioning AC. And, again, there’s Franco! The house may not be luxurious, but it did not disappoint.

Beautiful place I 100 percent recommend just keep in mind that to get there you might need a high car but other than that I loved it specially the private beach area

Great place to visit if you like nature walks on the beach.. if your looking for a place to relax get always and not worry about any noise or traffic this is the place to be.. ocean is about 400 ft away.. Lester the care taker and his wife are so wonderful and lovely people.. make sure you ask Lester to take you for a ride around the coastal..

This place was perfect. Great location, private and sufficient amenities. Onsite staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Walking distance from town. I would highly recommend!

Jim's house is the perfect spot in a peaceful jungle area. Quiet and away from noise from town, the house is modern, beds are super comfortable, hot water in showers, AC, and not too far from some beautiful beaches! Highly recommend

truly a work of art. The serenity of the jungle combined with the open kitchen design made for the perfect backdrop for our stay. It was comfortable, full of natural amenities, and perfectly located for all of the activities we engaged in. Victoria was exceptional from booking through departure. we will certainly be staying again and remain friendly in the interim. don't look anywhere else... if you are looking for a beautiful home in Playa Maderas, this is it.
