I was in the Bay Area for a work trip but wanted to find a quiet, safe spot to decompress. This garden and cabin were perfect! Everything was impeccably clean, and I loved that there is an emphasis on sustainability with a provided compost container - it's usually very difficult to stay eco-conscious while on the road. The animals were so soothing to be around! It got very chilly at night with some unusually cold weather for the area, but there were ample space heaters. The bathroom was small but very clean - I didn't get to use the shower since I was at a gym every day, but the tub was spacious. The hosts were very kind and offered to carry luggage and checked in if things were okay when we crossed paths. Street parking was extremely easy. I definitely recommend this spot!

If you need to stay in West Berkeley, this is a very convenient spot. The cottage is unusual and artistic. We particularly enjoyed the upstairs kitchen with loads of windows.

I had an absolutely tranquil and relaxing stay at this wonderful Airbnb! Nestled in a quiet suburb, it was the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The garden was a true highlight, offering a peaceful space to unwind with its beautiful greenery and serene atmosphere. The neighborhood was calm, and I felt completely at ease throughout my stay. We felt very much at home in this cute guesthouse that had everything necessary for our comfort. This is the second time we have stayed at Barbara’s Backyard Beach House, and it was as enjoyable as the first time. All our needs were met, and we enjoyed relaxing in the living room with many interesting books at our fingertips. Barbara is always readily available, and pleasant to talk to. Thank you Barbara for adding to the enjoyment of our vacation.

Good bedding, well stocked kitchen, good water pressure with abundant hot water. Smart TV was a nice bonus.

Laurel’s place is super cute and so cozy. A few is us stayed for a mom’s weekend away and it was the perfect setting to relax and hike. We had everything we needed and more. The beds were super comfy, everything was clean, the kitchen was well stocked. We hiked a bit at Bear Creek, admired the horses and said hi to the ducks. It was just what we needed!

It was an unforgettable stay—beyond perfect! The home was perfectly equipped with everything we could possibly need. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, making it a seamless and stress-free experience. For traveling with a baby, this place was a lifesaver. There was a high chair, a cot, and everything else we could need. The garden is absolutely stunning—a true sanctuary. It was an absolute joy for our little one, who loved exploring fruits, leaves, and rocks! The location is peaceful and quiet, ideal for relaxing, but you will need a car to enjoy the area and its surroundings fully. We loved our stay at Taylor's place in San Jose! It was clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed. The hot tub was a huge plus, too! It was sparkling clean and ready to use at the perfect temperature. We can't wait to come back when we drive through next time.

We stayed for 3 days in David's apartment downstairs, everything was perfect. Both the kitchen and bathroom are equipped, the patio is beautiful! You can hear some footsteps from the upstairs but it was normal, There is a very comfortable sofa to watch TV with a very spacious living room .the city was amazing It was a lovely time :)

This place is so nice and roomy. It's perfect for 2 people; the bath is wonderful! Lots of really great books if you have small children. Charlotte's Web is there, also!! The first chapter book I read! We hope to stay here for our future travels to the West Coast.

My stay at Joyce's Guest house was wonderful. The house is very comfortable and cozy. The house was exactly as described/photographed. For me personally, the location was so convenient and easy to get to the places I needed to go! I hope to return and stay for a longer length of time!

The studio was located off the street and was very quiet. The amenities were beyond what I expected and gave me the sense that Silvia sincerely wanted my stay to be exceptional and trouble free. I look forward to staying here again.

Great stay! We booked it over the Holidays to be close to family. The apartment was spacious, had everything we needed, and it was all nicely labeled (from the kitchen to the bathroom!). Helen was also very easy and quick to communicate with if we had any questions. As a bonus, the house is located right next to a very. popular and delicious donut spot (Chuck's) that is worth checking out. Highly recommend!

This perfectly-appointed cabin in the sky was the ideal escape “between the years.” It rained every day of our stay but that did not stop us from walking down to the beach, grabbing a bite at Parkside Cafe, and exploring every hiking trail in walking distance. (Highly recommend the Dipsea trail to Steep Ravine with a side bar to the Stinson Tree.) Carey really thought of everything: not only was the bed comfy and the place spotlessly clean, the kitchen was well-equipped (cream for the coffee!) as was the bathroom (thick towels!) We especially appreciated the clear instructions for operating windows and other things. It was our best Airbnb experience to date and we can’t wait to come back.

It is perfect space for us. Great location, reasonable price. Comfortable and clean bed. Easy to find everything you need in Kitchen and bath. The host is very responsive and friendly. The only regret is that we can only stay here for one night.

This was one of our top Airbnb experiences ever! From the prompt, friendly, clear communication from our host, Suzanne, to the ease of finding the place and getting into the unit, everything was effortless. (She even left us a little loaf of homemade gingerbread as a welcome gift!) The cottage itself is very thoughtfully appointed with nice furnishings, a super-comfortable bed with excellent linens, a complete kitchen with all the basics, a spacious modern bathroom and all the quiet & privacy you could ask for. There’s a wonderful view from the huge kitchen window to the water. In the backyard, a giant redwood tree named Leonard overlooks the hot tub and a lemon tree and lots of greenery. The cottage is easy walking distance to many attractions in Mill Valley, including walking trails, a variety of places to eat & supermarkets. The place is so comfortable & cozy we often didn’t want to leave. We will definitely return to this wonderful restful cottage in the future. Recommended!

Clean and private place. Close to airport and the city. Private parking is a major plus for standard size car.
