Vacation rentals in San Antonio Palopó

Jean is an incredible host who goes above and beyond your typical Airbnb host. She lives on the property, but she is not intrusive and respects your privacy. Jean is very responsive and she helped us book rides to and from the airport, and offered restaurant recommendations. The property itself is gorgeous, and the unit is in its own private space, up the hillside from Jean’s main house. The views are amazing and the airbnb is an easy 1 mile walk from San Marcos. I highly recommend booking a hiking tour with Luis Tuy (info is at the Airbnb). His brother, Francisco, took us on two tours, and both were fantastic. Overall, we greatly enjoyed our stay at Lake Atitlan! Thank you, Jean!

The location was amazing and the view of the lake, San Pedro volcano, and sunrise/sunsets were amazing! It was so relaxing to sunbathe on the deck during the day and use the hot tub at night. The bungalow is close to Panajachel by tuktuk (or even walking). Gabriel and Marlies were very responsive and gave many recommendations including having a masseuse come to the AirBnB to give massages on the deck. I would definitely stay here again!

This place was AMAZING and Augustus was such a wonderful, communicative, accommodating host. My friends and I are already brainstorming the next time we can come back to this Airbnb because we loved it. You could really tell that Augustus cared for this property and our experience--no cutting corners, charming touches in the home, taken care of like the way you'd take care of your own home! Also, the views are priceless. This spot is quiet and tucked away from town noise, but everything is walkable and close.

We (family of four - two adults and two children ages 8 and 7) had an excellent stay at lakeview on the rocks. The caretaker was very attentive. We hired the recommended cook (Jose) during our stay and planned activities through Rodolfo, he put us in touch with local fishermen for going on the Cayuco row boat, a local guide for a hike to the town’s waterfall, and we booked a private boat to take use to a few of the villages around the lake. San Antonio was the nicest town we visited, much cleaner than the rest and not as many tourists. We also went to Casa Palopó for two dinners at Kinnik, excellent place for a high end meal and a beautiful facility to relax and enjoy the views. The hosts asked us for our suggestions on improving our stay. I would say the water pressure could be much better in the master bathroom, and there were flickering lights in the bathrooms that were not pleasant. I hope they take these suggestions for the next guests.

This place is incredible! One of the few times an Airbnb is more beautiful in person than the pictures. Joshua is incredibly responsive and helpful as well René the groundskeeper who did an excellent job getting us set up and arranging transportation whenever we needed it (he even personally drove my brother to town so he could catch his shuttle to the airport). The house has a great dock area where you can get a boat to take you anywhere you would like on the lake, and if you prefer to drive both towns are within 5 minutes of the house. Nothing but great things to say about this place, and hope to return soon!

We LOVED our stay here! The views are amazing, the bed is very comfy, and it is so peaceful. The house is well kept and clean. It is also fully stocked with everything you could need (cooking equipment etc). This is like a home from home! Thanks Mary for a lovely stay :)

Place is a blast! Always attentive and friendly. Even though my place didn't have a parking lot included and they fixed right away and that's appreciated!!! 10/10! Totally worth it!

Incredible views, magnificent gardens, a great pool and hamacks on this massive property. The house is well designed and decorated. The kitchen is fairly well equipped and we made breakfasts and some meals there (plan tondo groceries in Panajachel). It is very peaceful and quiet. We could also arrange laundry on site which was very helpful. Diego and Rosa who look after the place were lovely and super helpful. We could walk (10-12 min) to the Santa Cruz port where you can find a couple of restaurants. We highly recommend going to la Iguana Perdida for dinner and entertainment. Plan to bring a headlights to walk back if you dine in town. Thank you for a beautiful stay

This home is the best you'll find in everything Atitlan! We've been to airbnb and this is definitely the best. The view is beautiful from all environments, you have a totally private access to the lake, Felipe and his wife were very attentive and Adolfo was very friendly and guided us from the first contact. As a traveler it is appreciated to have such a well equipped kitchen, they have a mobile grill which simulated us a lot of lunch and both at sunrise and sunset going to its gardens and taking incredible photos is a must, in the property there is a kayak and you can chat with Felipe if you require any additional, as well as ask for local suggestions, of which you will not regret. In general, if you are looking for a place to go with your family and have unforgettable memories, I recommend it 100%!
