Family-friendly vacation rentals in Salt Rock Beach

We had such a lovely stay! Michele was an amazing host - gave us lots of wonderful recommendations, which all turned out great! The apartment had had everything we needed, and is modern and clean. I loved sitting outside in the morning taking in the sea view and sunrise with my coffee. The place is a stone's throw from the beach, it feels super safe and everyone is so friendly. Even the cat! The kids would love to come back to the cat <3 Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Loved everything about the place everything was stunning .Leslie was very welcoming even allowed us to check in early was a cherry on top , his hospitality is amazing , perfect location close to restaurants and right next to the beach . Would definitely highly recommend

We had a great stay at Simbithi. The house was beautiful and had all the amenities we needed. Their housekeeper was very friendly and kept the house spotless. Ana was very proactive and responsive. Would definitely stay here again

Great spot to be if you want to experience Zimbali has to offer. A proper inverter system would be great improvement

We had never stayed in an Airbnb property before and so had no idea what to expect. However, The Lilypad surpassed anything we could have imagined. The house itself was beautiful and much bigger than it seemed in the photos and Derrick and Margi are the perfect hosts. The house is spacious and very well equipped. Even the monkeys turned up to watch us eating lunch in the garden one day. It was like a wildlife documentary in reverse! We could not believe their generosity in taking our children to the airport at 5.30am after we left! If all Airbnb properties and hosts are all like this then we are hooked. You literally walk to the sea. The view is amazing. So much to do, braai area❤️. Family friendly and cozy for a couple as well. I'm definitely coming back with the family next time.

We had a great stay at CASACASA Studio, everything we needed was already there, and you have the option to take a quick walk in order to get to Gateway Mall & Spar. We really felt right at home, and Brigitte did everything to make us fill comfortable and welcomed, she is super responsive and ready to help with anything. Would definitely recommend and book again when in Durban. So with that being said, I’d say book away because you won’t regret it.

The view and family home is very welcoming and in a great location. Great house for a family. The pool is big and well taken care of. We will be back

I had a wonderful stay at Wazo's over the weekend. The place was beautiful, well-maintained, and just a short walk from the beach 🌊. Our host was amazing and very friendly, which made the experience even better. We thoroughly enjoyed the space and its amenities, especially the stunning outdoor patio and cozy living room. Highly recommend this spot for a relaxing getaway!🍻

The house was gorgeous, there was plenty of space for all of us and the aircon was a great help when it was really hot. We didn't heat the pool as it was refreshing on the really hot days and warm enough when it was cooler. There are some stunning pieces of art and the pool table was a hit with the kids. The staff were friendly and very helpful, a beautiful spot. Janet was a great host and super responsive.

Fantastic location with direct access to the beach. Loved staying at the beach cottage. Ample bathrooms and spacious living areas. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and appliances. Great water pressure in the shower. Shops a close drive from the cottage.

This place was the peace i was looking for, very private and safe, I would recommend it to everyone, the cleanliness, Roelof was very helpful and friendly…… this felt so short because it was so nice

We loved our stay at the Beach House! A private, safe and peaceful location with a great view and full amenities. We loved the short walk to the beach and the location to get to all the hotspots in Ballito with ease. Will be back!

Wow. From my first interaction with Babara, to me having to change my dte due to work obligations, to the self check in. It was a pleasure and might i add i asked a lot of questions. Place was in a quite complex and everything you needed was either walking distance or no more than 4km away. Would highly recommend this place to all. Had a lovely 60th celebration of my Mother in laws birthday and we couldnt have asked for anything more.

We had a lovely stay with our family at this apartment and Filip was a great host - responsive on message helping with all questions. It was easy to get in and there's plenty parking (incl garage) in this secure complex. The interior has been professionally designed creating a beautiful boutique look, there's high quality appliances in the kitchen incl a Nespresso machine, every room has its own flat screen TV, there's air-conditioning throughout. We had everything we needed including comfy bedding and fluffy towels. The terrace large and the view and sound of the ocean is breathtaking. The location is super - short stroll to the beach or bars and restaurants of uMhlanga, and close to a big shopping centre for groceries etc. Yes as some other reviews mentioned by European standards some aspects (eg bathrooms) may seem a bit dated but overall the experience was great and we would definitely book this apartment again. Thanks Filip for being an excellent host.
