3 old friends enjoyed 3 days of fishing at Montauk. The location and cabin were perfect for us. Historically we have stayed in a cabin in the park, but moving forward we will be staying at the Blue Ribbon. It is ride outside the park, a very short drive, much more peaceful and much nicer for a similar price. Highly recommend staying here for a fishing trip to Montauk.

This place is AH-mazing and we honestly didn't want to leave. So peaceful, out of the city but still so close to all of the wedding events that we were visiting St. James for. LOVED the area, the quiet and everything about the farm style, eclectic house. I want a make-up table now (even though I don't wear much make-up), and I want some COWS, lol! I only rated getting in lower stars because my husband and I are "old" and unfamiliar with how all the different newish keyless entry locks work and that took us a hot minute to get right. 🤦 #wedumb 😂 If we ever need a place in St. James to stay, this will definitely be our first choice!

Jonathan and the rest of the crew were lovely. Very friendly and accommodating. They made sure my family was safe during some unexpected, severe inclement weather. although we did not get to experience some of the nearby state parks and other local amenities as planned, the location was stunning.

Just what we were looking for in a low key weekend getaway! Natalie was a great host, and very helpful from before checking in when GPS was messing up on our end and we needed a pin dropped, answering any questions we had quickly, and having clear instructions for checking and checkout.

This was our first time renting an Airbnb. If we are ever back in the area we will stay here again. It's located in a nice neighborhood that's conveniently located close to base, restaurants, shopping, etc. Jayson responded promptly to any questions I had and was very helpful. Overall, it was a good experience.

Was the most perfect halfway point for our recent move to Chicago! The home was so beautiful and unbelievably cozy and charming. They had snacks for us upon arrival as well as necessities for our pup that stayed with us. One of the best airbnbs I have stayed in!! Has everything you would ever need for a stay in Saint James. We chose this cabin for our girls trip to celebrate my sisters 50th birthday. Our group of 9 had plenty of space and we all slept very well in the super comfy beds. Judy was wonderful and responded quickly to my questions. There is plenty of restaurants and shopping within a short drive but a really nice stove and huge frig to fill with groceries to prepare your meals in the amazing kitchen if you choose to stay in. St James winery was only 15 minutes away(we went twice). But if you are just looking to relax this place is tucked away and super quiet. We made breakfast in the huge kitchen and spent a lot of time on the front porch at the tables big enough for our group to sit comfortably. Ending our days in the hot tub then wine on the back deck was an added bonus. We will definitely be going back if Judy will have us.

An amazing place. We had both Shepherd's Place and Black River and could not have asked for more. Plenty of space and private bath for each bedroom was just awesome! Watched the eclipse outside and the privacy was incredible. No crowds! Thank you to our incredible host!

Had an initial issue with someone parked in front of the unit blasting music for half an hour but when I texted Johnny about it, he immediately got the car to turn the music off. Wish I had written sooner as he was very responsive! Unit is older but spotless, I would definitely stay here again if I was ever traveling through the area.

From top to bottom, this stay checked all of the marks. The property is clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. Pam is an extremely responsive host. From the moment we arrived, my family and I felt at-home and relaxed.

We had a wonderfully peaceful visit at the cabin! My Son wanted a weekend trip for his birthday and he picked this cabin himself. Everything was as described! He spent hours fishing, didn’t catch anything but there’s always next time. The cabin was warm and comfy and had everything we needed and more ! We plan to go back soon.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The cabin is clean and very comfortable. Relaxing sitting on the porch or at the pier listening to the birds and just soaking in nature! My dog loved digging around the ponding finding sticks and my hubby fishing. Kitchen is well stocked. Bathroom has lots of towels and extra blankets. Definitely go to 1st Street Eats, Yester Year Antiques & Collectables in Owensville. Owensville has a quaint historic district. We also found lots of great antique shops in Rosebud. Also, if you never been to Hermann, MO it’s worth the drive. We did the Stone Hill Winery tour and the Museum. Both places were very interesting! Another reason to stay at Oak Post Chase. Enjoy the beautiful relaxing cabin with hiking paths and nearby towns to explore!

We found this house due to its proximity to float outfitters, and chose it for its size and charm! We had a fabulous girls weekend here. There were many different sleeping options to choose from, huge kitchen and dining areas, and very comfortable living spaces. The sweetest cherry on top was Patches the horse greeting us every day. Would absolutely stay again!

There was plenty of room for our group of 6 which consisted of 3 adult couple groups. Other cabins offered shared rooms for 2 couples which wasn’t ideal for us. We didn’t spend much time there because our stay was short and we came to float and spent the majority of Saturday on the river. The view is gorgeous. Would def stay here again.

This place is amazing and we definitely want to come back. Jay was very hospitable and responsive. As others mentioned in their reviews, the professional kitchen in the common area really is great. We came down to Pine Valley with a big group for a float trip. Its was a huge relief that this property had everything we needed and more so we could just focus on spending time with each other. Oh, and we found a full size cornhole game with sandbags we played with too. Fun.
