The Writer’s Retreat in the Idyllic Park Circus

Stand at the bay window and gaze out at stunning views across to the hills. The studio has double-height ceilings with a stylish mezzanine bedroom level. It boasts original features, including ornate cornicing and a decorative fireplace. The space is around 45m squared with double height ceilings. The cornicing is ornate and original, you could stare at it for hours! The enormous bay window gives stunning views out to the hills, and at night time the city below lights up like a Christmas tree. Large wooden shutters on either side of the window fold out to give you the privacy you need in the evenings. The mezzanine bed is extremely comfortable and there is ample storage space for clothing and suitcases in the large wardrobe as you enter on the right. In the bottom drawer inside the wardrobe you will find an iron, hairdryer and hair straighteners. We provide shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom which features a gorgeous roll top bath, shower and underfloor heating. If you want to get cosy in the evening you can light the log burner. The kitchen has a washing machine which you are welcome to use and you should find plenty of tea, coffee, cereal and biscuits there too. You can access the entire property As I live in London my space is managed by my neighbour and co-host Pip! The studio is on Woodlands Terrace, arguably the most stunning street in Glasgow. Situated directly on Kelvingrove Park, the river Kelvin at the foot of the park is ideal for running and walking. The Botanic Gardens are a short walk along the riverside, and the Kelvingrove Museum, Huntarian Museums, the Centre for Contemporary Art and the Museum of transport are at a stones throw. The flat is less than a 10 minute walk from the amazing restaurants and bars of Argyle street and Great Western Road. You will never be bored here! The great thing about the property is that everything you could want from the city is really on your doorstep, but you are also very close to the underground at Kelvinbridge, and the overland train taking you out of the city at Charing Cross. Parking is residents only / Pay Monday to Friday 8am - 6pm but free on evenings and weekends. Alternative parking can be found on streets nearby during the week. If you fancy getting out of the city the Loch Lomond National Park is a 30 minute drive away and stunning Glen Coe around 2 hours. Please note, check in and check out is not available on the 25th of December and the 1st of January.

My homely apartment is nestled in the West end,on a quiet street lined with Oak trees,in the heart of ever vibrant Hillhead.Perfectly positioned to explore the quirky thrift shops, hip cafes and bars of the West End and moments on the subway from the excitement of the shops and clubs of the City Centre.
The building itself is a part of Glasgow’s history,completed in 1845 and designed by one of Glasgow’s most celebrated architects, Alexander’Greek’Thompson and is part of Glasgow’s Heritage Trail.
