Rental unit in Belváros
4.84 out of 5 average rating, 128 reviewsLuxury apartment next to Fashion Street
This place was extremely clean and spacious with all instructions of their ammenities provided. The location itself was quiet and private despite being right next to the shopping/fashion district. After a long flight, it was definitely a relief to finally be able to rest at a place that felt home (The elevator is definitely appreciated as well). Definitely would recommend if you're coming in as a group and want easy/walkable access to the city (shops, cafes, and restaurants). Additionally, if you came in a bit early before the check-in, the luggage storage right under is extremely helpful and affordable!

Everything was fine, we were satisfied with the stay.

4.83 out of 5 average rating, 109 reviewsNew Faces Design Apartment in Downtown
The apartment is very central. All the main attractions can be visited on foot. 300 meters from the airport bus stop, connected by car. Set in a picturesque setting, full of bars and restaurants, and within walking distance of Budapest's most famous Ruins Bar, Szimpla Kert. Despite the centrality, the apartment is very quiet because it overlooks an internal courtyard. The photos and descriptions provided by Agnes match the reality, spacious, clean apartment, perfect for 4 people. Agnes was very kind and always available. Self-contained and flexible check-in and check-out, simple because of the very clear instructions. The outdoor building is a little dated and should be renovated for a better external visual impact, but it is a very large historic birthday. The apartment inside is renovated, modern, warm, clean, equipped with all comforts (heating/air conditioning). Thank you Agi! We will definitely be back!!!

We very much liked our 1-night stay at Pisti's place. Smack right in the centre of the city and next to the bus station that goes to the airport, it really is the best location to explore the city but also have convenient transport everywhere else. In spite of how central and busy the street is, the place is high up and well sound proofed, so we had a very quiet night.

I especially call out to Turkish friends from here, it was a great stay. Everything was as shown in the photo. You were confused by the smell of cleanliness as soon as you entered the house. The bathroom, the toilet was sparkling clean. The linens were clean and new. The house was very hot (I went in the winter) there was always hot water. The location is in the middle of all the attractions in a great location. There is a metro station right in front of the house, and you can also go to the remote ones very easily. Near the house there is breakfast place, bakery and pub, food places for the evening. The host was very attentive and responded very quickly to any of our questions. My Ritacie deserves her score to the fullest.

We had a wonderful stay here in Budapest. I took my mum for her 70th birthday and she was totally thrilled with the flat: it was characterful, spacious and felt very much like an authentic place to experience the culture and history of the city. The living space is large and they had the sofa bed all laid out ready for us (very comfy) - while mum took the double bedroom. The shower is just over the bath but was lovely: warm and powerful. Lots of steps to get up to the flat (we counted 144!) but also a perfectly good lift if you'd rather. The kitchen is small but had everything we needed. The hosts were SO responsive and really put me at ease about everything. We walked from the house for everything: 40 minutes to the river as I recall? Or plenty of trams, metro lines, and bus options. We had such a wonderful stay; I couldn't recommend this place more. Thank you so much! x

We LOVED our stay here. This AirBnB has incredible value! It’s located in a great neighbourhood — quiet but still close to your essentials and transit. There are green spaces nearby which was perfect for our dog on our daily walks. The apartment has absolutely everything you need — from a generous amount of coffee capsules to ample hooks and towels. It’s a very livable apartment and would be perfect for longer stays. We felt right at home! Peter was an amazing host. We’d 100% stay here again!

Condo in Budapest
4.97 out of 5 average rating, 37 reviewsShiny luxury apartment in the city center
Adrienn was super nice and responsive and the apt was really big and spacious - we were 7 adults and one baby. We were able to check in early on the day we arrived at no extra cost and the self check in/out were very straightforward. The apt was very clean and comfortable, we had a really nice time ! Things to note: - although there is an elevator, there’s a flight of stairs before you get there so going in/out with a stroller isn’t so easy. - only one dishwasher pod was provided (we stayed for 3 nights) and bathroom toiletries weren’t amazing - we ran out of toilet paper and soap for the shower (there wasn’t any shampoo/conditioner) Those things aside, we really had a great time and felt so at home! Thank you, Adrienn!

Your guide to Budapest
All About Budapest
Hungary’s capital, Budapest, is a bustling metropolis in central Europe. The Danube River splits the city in two, and Budapest’s many bridges help reconnect it. Each bridge has a story behind its name and serves as a historical symbol of this cosmopolitan capital. Budapest’s cityscape is a mix of architecture, from classic Baroque and Gothic styles to sleek, modern buildings.
The best way to experience Budapest is to take part in local life. Explore public spaces, such as the lush City Park, and wander through the alleyways full of street art and make a detour to a pop-up flea market for a unique souvenir. Throughout your city journey, find one of the many thermal, outdoor baths scattered throughout the downtown area. Budapest also hosts several festivals throughout the year. For more insight into Hungary’s compelling history, you can visit one of Budapest’s national museums.
The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Budapest
Budapest has four distinct seasons. During the hot summertime, you can lounge by one of the city’s swim-friendly outdoor baths. Winter can be cold and rainy and you might see snow if you visit Budapest from December to March. Holiday markets and an outdoor ice skating rink at City Park will also keep you busy this time of year. When spring arrives, Budapest hosts the annual Cherry Blossom Festival, and you can picnic near the bright purple cherry blossom trees in full bloom through April. Autumn is cool and comfortable, and a busy time for local festivals. One of the city’s well-known events during fall is the international wine festival at Buda Castle. There are a variety of vacation rentals in Budapest from downtown lofts and vacation apartments to luxury rooms and everything in between. Since it’s a pedestrian-friendly city, it’s best to choose accommodations that are in a convenient location.
Top things to do in Budapest
Museum of Fine Arts
Discover some of Europe’s most impressive artwork at Budapest’s Museum of Fine Arts in Heroes’ Square. The museum’s neoclassical design is a work of art in itself, and the building has undergone reconstruction over the last several years. Its diverse art collections include classical antiquities, master paintings, sculptures, and regularly changing temporary exhibitions.
Liberty Bridge
Liberty Bridge is heavily trafficked during the day and becomes a sightseeing activity at night. Meander along the Danube River banks until you get close to the glowing bridge. You can bring a blanket and sit below Liberty Bridge for a close-up view. If you plan to visit during the summer, Liberty Bridge becomes a pedestrian-only space at night.
Indie cinemas
Visit one of Budapest’s independent cinemas scattered throughout the city. From historic buildings to eclectic and modern spaces, each movie theater has a distinct feel. You can look for a cinema playing cult classics, or find a showing for a lesser known indie film.
