Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Rye Ocean Beach

It was exactly what we were after, plenty to do for the kids!

A great place to stay for families with everything you need as a base for exploring the area. Hosts are very easy to deal with and look after you.

Barbara's beach house was simply perfect. We were an extended family of four, plus two dogs, and the layout of the house accommodated each of us, giving us our own room and space to relax. The beach house has everything you could possibly need for an amazing holiday: comfortable king and queen beds, quality linen, a fully stocked kitchen with every appliance, including a Nespresso coffee machine, great lounges, spacious bathrooms, and multiple outdoor sitting areas, including a small heated pool. Our two dogs were safely contained within the secure backyard and loved being so close to the dog beach, which is just as fabulous for humans to enjoy! The neighbourhood is friendly, and the house is within walking distance of Point Lonsdale beach and shops. We usually stay on the Mornington Peninsula over the summer break, but after staying here and discovering all the things this part of the coast has to offer, we'll definitely be back! Lovely place , easy to get too.

Really well-equipped traditional holiday house feel which we appreciated. We appreciated that the house felt lived in and came with all the equipment that one would have at home. DVD's and CD's were great to have as well. Being able to have our two Dachshund's there helped so much as well. Much appreciated.

John was super helpful and quick to respond with his text. He made it easy to check in and out and the place was a very good price for how big and clean it is! Great cooking utensils with big pans and oven for big group dinners!

We had a lovely stay, was a beautiful, light space! The king bed was very comfortable. The only thing worth noting is that it’s at the back of the main house and above the car port/garage that seems to be used quite a lot so you can hear noises beneath you. Otherwise, great location and a short walk to the beach.

We spent one night at this apartment and loved it. Conveniently located and the place itself has everything you need. We travelled with our 18 month old and little touches in the apartment made the stay so much easier. Carmela is a fantastic host. Highly recommend.

My sister and I stayed here for 1 night over the recent long weekend. We had a really really lovely stay. The place was close to the lovely beaches, and the host was super responsive. The place was well equipped and clean- everything that we wanted!

Frances and Ray were the ultimate hosts. Nothing was too hard and they went the extra mile when our car broke down. The unit itself was the cleanest we have ever stayed in. Everything was supplied in the kitchen and bathrooms. So many extra treats including wine, chocolates and an array of hot beverage choices. We could not recommend Frances play any higher. A perfect spot to explore this beautiful part of the country.

Debra was great and easy to communicate with. She gave good suggestions and share with us places to bring kids to. Her place is quite near the beach and easily accessible to the beach. Instructions were very clear from pre arrival to departure and she put up some little notes to help remind the guest on the do and dont Welcome guide is good as well helps to denote nearby eatery.

My family and I had a beautiful stay over summer in Sid’s place in Seaford. The flat is 5 min walk to the beach - it’s lovely, light-filled, clean and spacious, with every amenity you could need. It’s at the back of the block so very quiet (no traffic noise, despite being on a main road) and surrounded by a garden and a creek. You can sit at the dining table, outside or lie on the couch and watch the birds and sunrise/sunset skies. The beds and pillows were particularly comfortable, and the kitchen, bathroom and laundry have the basics. While I did have an issue initially with the remote, it turned out to need a new battery - Sid was extremely helpful and prompt. A great stay - we’ll be back the next time we visit our family in SE Melbourne.

A wonderful stay in Frankston, a great location with direct access to the beach. It’s also a very private and peaceful studio, beautifully decorated and has everything you would need! The breakfast bits were also such a lovely touch, we felt right at home! The bed is also super comfortable!

Host was very responsive and helpful. It is a great space with pretty interior and super clean. Would stay there again!

Greg’s place was easily accessible off a main road and had a private courtyard with all the requirements.
