Lake house vacation rentals in Rudyard Lake

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The house is spacious with plenty of ensuite bathrooms. It was cosy, comfortable and perfect for us as a group of friends but would be good for families too. The location is lovely- it is set in a charming area with a shop just a minute away. We loved the fact it is surrounded by picturesque English villages with quaint cafes, restaurants and really gorgeous old pubs with open fires. Lovely rambles on the doorstep too. The house itself was idyllic and spotlessly clean. French doors in the main bedroom and living room open to stunning lake views creating a peaceful, nature-filled retreat. Waking up to birdsong and watching ducks on the lake was magical. Handy for quick access to Manchester and airport and great value for money. The host was helpful. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Knockerdown cottages. It was everything we hoped for and more. The children enjoyed the facilities (swimming pool and field for playing games) and we had some lovely walks in the surrounding area. Thank you very much! We look forward to revisiting soon!

We've been to Youlgreave a few times and always love it here. The location of the cottage, right by the river, is unbeatable. We found the accommodation great for toddlers - there was a highchair, the stairs weren't freely accessible, and the living area was pretty much childsafe (all aspects that meant our holiday was as relaxing as it can be with young children). Highly recommend. Would love to be back someday!

We had a beautiful stay here having a catchup with friends . Everywhere is immaculate, there was everything we needed for a comfortable stay from hair straighteners to an air fryer! Stacey was extremely responsive when we had any queries. The location was perfect for nice walks and not far from Congleton Town center for lots of restaurants and bars. Thank you for a lovely stay and we will definitely be back again in the future!

Lovely little holiday let, very clean and tidy. Jennifer was a fantastic host very responsive and incredibly friendly. Our kids loved the boxes of toys to play with and the sweets! Thanks for a wonderful stay/Mother’s Day treat.

We stayed couple of nights and had a good time. It’s spacious for 4 people and can easily spend days exploring nearby walks and spending time next to lake , Our little one enjoyed the trampoline and the game room. Would definitely book again in the future.

The room was tidy and the sleeping quarters were extraordinary. My kids said that they had never slept better in their lives until then! The scenery was beautiful and the multiple activities such as the (out of tune but wonderful) piano, playground and solo tennis in the vicinity kept all of us company. The owners were super sweet and let us see the swans and ducks on our last day! 10/10, i would definitely come here again with more family members.

Had the best week at Foxtwood cottage. What a gem of a place! Such a great secluded spot with everything you could possibly need for entertainment. Loved the nature and natural surroundings. Perfect for children. So much to from the games in the photos, rounders by the lake, kayaking, bbqing in the bbq hut with the log burner until 10pm. Everything was perfect. Short drive (20m) to dovedale, Ilam and so many other beautiful walks. Butchers and shop is 2-3mile away in the nearest village. Also a very lovely tea room by the canal opposite Foxtwood. Will definitely be returning with the family during summer to experience the outdoors again. Thank you.

stunning lots to do games etc lake one side with swans canal the other side that can be fished with appropriate license , local shop at ipstones , for more supplies , Cheadle not very far , peak district 20 mins just superb 👌 I stayed for four nights 7 next time definitely 😁 highly recommended totally 5 star thank you Sam and team John from Taunton x

Had a fabulous break here. highly recommend. The pictures do not do it justice it's such a beautiful place to stay the bbq hut is a must if you book we had the best evening there on our trip. We will be back so glad this place came up on our search to stay in the area.

We absolutely adored staying here and can't wait to return. It was a perfect stay with our toddler who loves to be outside and he had great fun at the pond, play barn and trampoline. Check in was smooth and we enjoyed a local meal at the Fox and Goose. The highlight was being in such beautiful peaceful surroundings with lots of walking paths and within 20 minutes of Alton towers and Cbeebies land. We have already recommended to friends and family.

Our stay was absolutely incredible! The property was breathtaking, with stunning views that we could admire for hours. Every detail had been carefully considered the house was fully stocked with everything we could possibly need, from kitchen essentials to thoughtful extras that made our stay feel truly special. The Bluetooth speakers were already set up in both the house and the bar/games room, creating an instant, cozy atmosphere the moment we arrived. Richard gave us a warm welcome, greeting us upon arrival and walking us through everything we needed to know. Sophie was fantastic always available to answer any questions and offering plenty of great recommendations for nearby shops and restaurants. They were truly fabulous hosts! We would love to stay here again in the future. ❤️

Gavin was very helpful. We was in another disgusting property from airbnb and we ended up getting moved over to Gavin's property around 10:30pm. He was more than helpful with every step of the booking and how to get to and access the property. The property was clean, tidy and homely. Loads of cooking utensils which if you stay in a lot of airbnb's is an absolute bonus. Shops in walking distance. Parking literally outside the front door with permit. All round great experience. Thank you again Gavin much appreciated.

Great stay, very close to alton towers which is why we went here. Bed was very comfortable and the sheets was so soft, had a great night's sleep! David left tea, coffee and milk which was a great touch 👌 having access to sky TV was great as this doesn't usually happen. The jacuzzi bath was lovely, loved the lights. David was a great host and was there if you needed him. overall very pleased with our visit 😊
