Vacation rentals with beach access in Ruakākā

Beautiful apartment in a private location with spectacular views. Very clean and spacious, with comfy beds, and the kitchen was particularly well-stocked. Easy walk down to the beach. Excellent communication by Maree throughout.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay, out the front door for a swim in the sea. The accommodation had gorgeous views and provided us with everything we needed. Great place to stay and great hosts 😊

The house was equipped with everything that we could want. The sunrise in the morning was amazing.

Great location close to hiking , Mt Manaia , and great swimming as there is no surf out front . Well equipped kitchen but the best was the quality bed . So many places here and in Canada have beds that should be recycled but not at Lil's .Thanks so much . Tom and Barbara

This was such a welcome break after a hectic time travelling. Lovely seating area with views over the water. Leeann was very welcoming and accommodating. The apartment was clean and nicely laid out. The hot tub was a bonus.

Great little place nestled in the bush. Had everything we needed. It is a little musty smelling when it’s been closed up for a while, but quickly airs with the door open. Perfect spot for a few days r and r.

From the beginning to the end of our stay at Leone and Mark's place, everything went very well. Very responsive, friendly and helpful hosts, the studio exactly as described, spotlessly clean, comfortable. Perfect for us both. It is simple and relatively basic but the view is magnificent, the beach on the doorstep and it's worth it just for that! They also lent us bikes which was an added bonus. We would love to come back.

A very special place to stay, the architecture is incredible. A quiet, peaceful place to stay with walkway access to a small private beach. We will be back, thank you to the owners for sharing their home with others to enjoy. Felt like home. We could have stayed all year!

We almost don’t want to give away too much because we loved our stay so much and don’t want to see it booked out so we can make sure we can come back!!What absolutely sensational spot this is, right from the start when we walked into the lovely ambience of jazz music we were greeted with spectacular views all round the house. The space was so groovy and cosy and we felt right at home, Karl was fantastic in being responsive whenever we had any issues. We loved all the different places to sit and take in the views and each one was so comfortable!! We had gorgeous warm and private swims in the water by the house in the evenings and felt like we were in a tropical landscape when we sat down to dinner at the outdoor table watching the sunset. Karl left some beer and wine which we enjoyed in the spa at golden hour listening to what looked like a set up playlist with great songs on the usb connected to the stereo! Honestley could not have loved this place more, we will be back!!

Back again! It’s a great place with incredible views out to the Barriers. Simple but stylish with plenty of tools in the kitchen to knock up a great feed, and, the best slumber with the comfiest of beds. I reckon we’ll be back!

Merrils place was perfect for us on our travel to Northland, great convenient location, The accommodation was very clean and tidy. The goodies left for us exceeded any other place we have stayed, we particularly enjoyed the freshly picked passion fruit xx

We had 9 of us at Natasha's place, there was space for all of us both inside, and outside. The spa and sauna were amazing to start or ended the day and the sunroom was idyllic. We are used to using tank water when travelling north- but Natasha also has a deep bore well so admidst the draught we were able to have all the comforts of home. My family is already looking to book again. Thank you!

We loved the beautiful ocean view, sunrise from the deck, and being only a short walk from the beach. Lovely clean accommodation with comfortable beds! We also really appreciated being able to bring our dogs.

My mum lives in Ruakaka so Tony and Nora’s is a great spot for us to stay. Comfy bed, good shower, very private and great views. If you are couple we highly recommend this place.

It was a lovely relaxing spot to spend a week in a rural setting with sea views out to the Poor Knights islands. A large property, accessed off a private road so very secluded and peaceful. Handy location half way between Matapouri Bay and Tutukaka, although you do need a car to go anywhere. Kitchen was very well equipped including basic supplies. Access to an indoor swimming pool, ability to charge the EV, and use of the laundry was a bonus. The hosts were very welcoming on arrival and explained the facilities and beach access path. Special touches were a bottle of wine and locally made nut brittle on arrival, and acknowledgement of our wedding anniversary which was during our stay. Annette and Bianca were super helpful and responded promptly to any questions.

Fabulous apartment in an idyllic situation. Beautiful view over the water. Apartment was even better than the photos, spotlessly clean with everything you could need for a few days away. Vicki was a great host, very responsive with great recommendations. Would highly recommend for a trip to Whangarei
