Vacation rentals with beach access in Ruakākā

Paul and Barbara's home was beautiful with an amazing beachfront location. The house was clean and communication was excellent. Would definitely stay again…!!

We enjoyed our 6 nights at The Shores! Lil is the sweetest host who makes you feel right at home. She had great recommendations! We loved the quick walk to the beach and the views surrounding. The apt is well equipped and very clean! We would highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to anyone. The location is easy to find and nestled in nature near the beach. We really enjoyed access to the spa. It is quiet and relaxing and a nice place to get away from the noise and busyness. If we had more time we would have stayed longer. The hosts are helpful and responsive.

A great little unit, really enjoyed it, with the bonus of only about 1 minute walk to the beach. Thanks and will be back :)

Beautiful little apartment Great stay

Robyn is a great host and her apartment is in a beautiful spot and was just what we needed for a stop on our family road trip. She gave us great recommendations on what to do in the area, provided everything we needed for the stay and even left some freshly baked cookies. Would definitely stay there again.

Julie was a great host. When asked for an earlier check-in than the listed one she was accomodating and got the place set up for us in time. Was quick to respond to all messages and very friendly and clear to communicate with.

Jessica’s home was well stocked- kitchen looked out on a sunny patio- it was a short walk to the beach- it suited my mum aged 93 and my grand daughter aged 7- even had a cupboard stocked with games

We enjoyed our stay, it was fit for purpose, a place that was calm and we all felt relaxed and well rested. The views, the sunsets and sunrises were outstanding. This is not a complaint, but the outdoor room did not have power. We were ok with that as there was enough light from the lighting on the deck. Pleas check it out as others may complain. I appreciate that you were more than happy to come to the house, but we did not feel it was necessary. I loved the beautiful flowers, the plants, the tui’s singing and it is quite possible we may have heard a Kiwi. The kitchen was well equipped, it had everything we needed, appreciated the first aid box too. Best Airbnb I have ever stayed in. Thank you.

We loved our stay. It was the perfect spot to bring my sister from the States and we hosted my elderly parents for a dinner. The views were lovely, the house and kitchen well appointed whilst being very relaxing and quintessentially Kiwi. Lindsay was so welcoming and we were delighted with the cherries and chocolates left for us. Patau South is such a special place to be, relax and take time out and this Bach with everything it offers, host included was perfect for us. I will be back and will recommend to others.

Absolute breathtaking view and bird-song. Really comfortable and super charming with clever touches; for example, mirrored glass reflecting the sea where you least expect it; a wonderful round window in the bathroom which gives the illusion of a mirror, a light well in the dining area... Many subtle design details I was observing and I'm sure others will. Kitchen, bathroom, linen all perfect. Matakana Espresso coffee a great and necessary touch. Is an old home, decks could be better, umbrella could be useful, floors could be polished but you soon realise it's just perfect as it is and I don't care less:) Fantastic homey feel with surround views. Would love to return.

Hi Cathy and Mark, thank-you very much for sharing your wonderful home in a peaceful scenery. We had an amazing time coming back to Snells Beach with heaps of nice walks and great food. We discovered brand new lovely fairy houses along the beach. Such a nice setting for the birds building their family nests. The new four square in Snells Beach is super useful in case you need any urgent supplies. All the best and look forward returning to your stunning Snells Beach. Irene & Raphael

Lovely place right across road from beach. Wide expansive view of the bay. Very quiet and peaceful considering it was school holidays. Great surf beach and very entertaining watching surfers on the weekend. Very close to other bays and bush walks.

Very well equipped little kitchen. Super comfortable bed with fantastic views and very roomy apartment generally. We fully enjoyed our stay with Tony and Nora they were great, friendly hosts with plenty of advice and pointers to local hot spots- thanks!

Amazing place. Such incredible views over the sea. Met with the owner who gave us lots of recommendations including how to get to their own mermaid pool! Loved we were able to walk around the vineyard, visit the llamas, donkeys and pigs too! The pool was great and my little one loved swimming it. We were given some milk and their own wine to sample which was amazing. Would highly recommend this place. One of the best AirBnBs we have stayed.

Loved our stay at Linda’s Airbnb. The window view towards the sea was absolutely stunning and we enjoyed using the hot tub and the fire pit for toasting marshmallows. The place was extremely clean and had everything we needed. Linda is a friendly and responsive host. It was a perfect weekend getaway for us, thank you Linda!

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful and peaceful apartment with us, we couldn’t be happier! The views from the deck were incredible, we saw the most amazing orange and pink sunrise and sunsets overlooking the Whangārei harbour nestled amongst native bush with tuī and birdsong. So close to many beautiful beach walks, bays & conveniently close to Whangārei. Lovely clean apartment with everything you need. Thanks again it was such a relaxing weekend away.

Very clean, presentable accommodation with great views off the deck. Had everything we needed to play golf in the region. We would stay again.
