Located directly on the river, 3.5 room large, classified by the German Tourism Association as 4 stars, non-smoking apartment in a quaint old half-timbered house. It is important to us that you can spend a nice, relaxing time here and unwind. The entrance to the Sauerland Forest Route is right around the corner and many attractions are nearby (Reckenhöhle, Balver Höhle, Luisenhütte.) Lake Sorpe is a few minutes away by car. We had a fantastic stay! Carsten is friendly, communicative and gives a lot of information. This information can also be found in leaflets in the house. There is the possibility to contact Carsten at all times, should this be necessary. The house is beautiful, spacious and very clean and tidy. I think a clean home is very important to me, and the house was very clean! The beds also sleep wonderfully. On vacation, I often don't sleep so well, but here I slept wonderfully. Our children also slept wonderfully. For the kids, there was a playroom with lots of nice toys. Our kids played nicely, and they didn't want to go home! Very child-friendly. Everything is provided: there are hair dryers, more than enough towels, well-functioning WiFi, very nice kitchen appliances, everything works well. The area is also beautiful. Very quiet and sweet. The neighbors are also very friendly. I visited some Airbnbs but this was the best until now. Thank you!

We had a pleasant stay (3 days/2 nights) in the accommodation. Ideal for a quiet weekend. You are quickly in nature for a walk. The closest supermarket can be reached by car in 10/15 minutes depending on the weather. We have already arrived with food and found everything else in the accommodation (salt, enough dishes, various cans, pans, etc.) to provide for us. There is an introduction from the owner if you want to use the fireplace. In warm weather, the balcony overlooking the trees behind the house can instead be used. Bed linen, Zewa, dishwashingsponge, etc. Is not available and must either be booked or brought along. We were completely satisfied.

L.S, We stayed in the house with 3 adults and 2 children in the spring break of 2025. Winterberg was easily accessible 14 km away. The home was warm, cozy and clean when we arrived. We felt right at home. The cinema experience with the big TV was very nice. In the kitchen, everything was available to cook. Also the big fridge and dishwasher increase the comfort. Personally, I (grandpa) loved that stove. Wood, kindling supplies, everything was in stock. And that lovely warmth from the warm natural stone plates: great and fun to use. In addition, we slept wonderfully. The contact with the host Birthe was fine. Messages were already sent before the trip. When we didn't get the WiFi activated, assistance was immediately provided online, just as long until it succeeded. We were also contacted again before our departure. We had a great stay at the apartment, which has a great historic old building flair. The place was very clean, the beds comfortable and check-in and check-out with the hostess was straightforward. For us, it was a good starting point to explore Hessian Switzerland by bike, and Kassel is not far either...
