Beautiful little cottage. Very clean with plenty to get you started. Lovely welcome package. Holly was very responsive to questions and made sure we had check-in in okay. Lovely cottage in a beautiful location, well equipped with lots of homely touches and even lots of things left out for the dog on arrival (towels, treats, ball, dog bags). Plenty of fields for long walks and a huge luxurious hot tub in the Spa room. The host Kathryn was very informative leading up to our stay with lots of activities and places to go, and she was extremely quick to reply when we had questions during our time there. I’d highly recommend this cottage as a place to stay and would love to go back in the future.

We would definitely recommend this Air BnB, it is in a very private and peaceful area and the BnB itself was very clean and tidy. Upon arrival we were met by the host, who messaged us earlier on in the day to give us clear instructions on how to get to the correct location. The host introduced himself and showed us around the Air BnB, explaining how different amenities within the BnB worked, which made for a much more comfortable stay. The host was very kind, polite and welcoming, and was very happy for us to contact him incase there was anything we may need during our stay; he was also very helpful when recommending the best way to access the city centre from the air BnB. Stanley Cottage is a little gem, near to the beach, easy access to supermarkets and in a friendly neighbourhood. The hot tub was a highlight, along with the outside room with its ensuite and TV.. a hit with my teenager. Thoughtful supplies on arrival. Thank you Ben.

Our stay was fantastic. Daniel was very helpful with recommendations of local things to do, which was very helpful with a toddler and to catch-up with the in-laws. Beautiful property that was comfortable. All the little details have been thought of from setting up a bed for our toddler to the care package of tasty local food. Daniel was helpful and answered questions about where to go to entertain the family in all weather's. Thank you. We look forward to staying again!

Me and my husband visited as a family with our 8 year old daughter and two tiny chihuahuas. Our dogs can be a bit happy which was absolutely my motivation for picking this location, secluded quiet and most importantly the courtyard area with the hot tub was entirely secure. Meaning we could relax in the hot tub without worrying about any unexpected puppy escapes. The place itself was beautiful inside , the only bathroom is in the main bedroom but in a family setting this is absolutely no issue. It was the perfect setting for cooking, playing board games and watching movies. We were able to walk the dogs, spend time as a family and all had a comfortable uninterrupted nights sleep. I can see us returning for sure!

This was a very special place to stay. The description doesn’t do it justice! It is spacious, well equipped and has lots of extras! We had an electric issue but it was sorted very quickly which we were amazed by as it was a bank holiday weekend. The neighbours were super friendly and even changed our flat tyre.

We have just spent a couple of wonderful days walking up penyghent. Moira's cottage was wonderful. Really clean and cosy and stocked with everything we needed. The walk up to pen-y-ghent starts literally right outside the doorstep which is very handy and a comfortable bed is exactly what we needed after the long walk. Thank you Mouira for your hospitality.

We had a lovely couple of days at Brandybuck cottage. Superb location in the heart of Kirkby Stephen with the high street a minute walk away and some gorgeous walks around the local area straight from the cottage. The cottage itself is a real home from home with a well equipped kitchen,comfy beds and a decent shower. There was plenty of space for our family of 4 with 2 older children(who appreciated the TV in each bedroom). Communication from the host was excellent with directions and check in details clearly explained so arrival and check in was a smooth process. Parking is on a road to the rear of the property which again was clearly explained and Marks directions took us to the exact place to park with further clear directions from there to access the rear of the cottage. Tea,coffee,sugar,milk and a packet of biscuits was provided upon arrival which was a nice touch and much appreciated. We booked this cottage as a last minute break and it is a real gem of a find.

Absolutely perfect little get away in a lovely area. My girlfriend really liked it and wants to go again. Very cosy and private place with a little garden for the dogs. Beautiful surroundings will 100% be booking again. Very responsive host even though we got there late. Thanks again

Thank you to Kathryn and Richard for allowing us to stay at their beautiful cottage. It had everything we needed for nice relaxing stay including a fireplace, comfy beds and amazing views. Our children loved the chickens and goats. The location was great for exploring the area. Would recommend the restaurant Rind to anyone staying here- so good we went back a 2nd time! Kathryn and Richard were both so welcoming throughout, from initial booking, communication was great and were available to contact throughout our stay. We've had a lovely long weekend :)

What can I say... Absolutely fantastic place. You couldn't ask for anything more. Really peaceful location with fantastic views of the hills etc. We had a strange issue but this was sorted out very swiftly by Malcolm 👍 We will definitely be looking to book again and have another peaceful time just watching the world go by. Ideal base for a few nights away, lovely location and beautiful little cottage. Had all the amenities you could possibly need, with a few extra touches by Penny which were well received so thank you. Would definitely recommend 🙂

We had a really lovely stay at Curlew Cottage for my husbands 40th birthday weekend. It was a great base to explore the surrounding area as we are into our walks. The house itself was beautifully presented, spacious, very clean and had everything we needed. The setting was very peaceful with beautiful views all around. We spotted lots of wildlife which was lovely. We would highly recommend and hope to visit again in the future.

Catherine is an excellent host, great communication and keen that everything is ok, quick response to queries raised. lovely welcome touch, of milk, cereal, bread, pastries, fruit juice jam, butter and apples and a supply of tea and coffee. Lovely compact cottage with a good kitchen, with a dishwasher and microwave. peaceful and quiet, away from everything but only a short drive in to Kendal

We would definitely recommend to stay here! This cosy cottage is the perfect place for some peace. The log burner is well equipped and very warm. James was a great host and made us feel very welcome. He was attentive, happy to help and share advice/ recommendations on the local area which had plenty of walks, places to eat etc. If the sky is clear you will be in for a treat with the sky! 🌌

An amazing stay for the family, we all had a fantastic time. Susan was so friendly and gave us all brilliant experience which we won’t forget in feeding the lambs. The cottage was exactly as described and suited our needs perfectly. Susan left us lots of goodies, including homemade scones, which were excellent! The weather couldn’t have been better while we stayed, but even if that hadn’t been the case, we still would have enjoyed the area as it’s stunning, and there’s so much to see.

The cottage is beautiful, peacefully located in the farm yet very easily approachable. It has everything you'll need for your stay. Best part of the cottage is many windows, the are numerous windows and each one is giving beautiful view of outside farm, courtyard or sky. Rach is lovely and very helpful, would definitely recommend this to everyone.

We loved our stay at The Vault! It was cosy, clean, and had everything we needed. Fantastic location too being only a 10 minute walk in to the centre of town. Alex was very responsive too if I had any questions! Would definitely recommend staying here if you are visiting Hexham/the surrounding areas :)

A nice cottage located in beautiful rolling hills, primarily overlooking the West Northumberland scenery. Photos look just like the property and the location is really good, far enough away from any towns yet close enough to Haydon Bridge and Hexham to go for supplies or a restaurant if needed. Awesome views. Cottage was comfortable, bed and pillows are quite soft though. Bathroom was good, nice large shower, well catered for with soaps and shampoos etc. Kitchen was spacious and had everything you needed, besides maybe a few more glass dishes for cooking with. Easily accessible from the road, just down a short driveway to a dedicated gravel car parking spot for 2 cars. Please note that there is a similar holiday cottage right next door, something the photos do not show, so be prepared to share the car park with neighbours and that both the front porches / verandas can somewhat overlook one another to the side and you can hear conversations. All in all a nice stay, would recommend.

We had a great family gathering to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary with our eldest son and his family next door in #12 and our youngest and wife with us. I am partially disabled due to a fall after our initial booking and expressed my concern about the showering facilities before arriving. Michael responded to this by adding grab rails, shower stool and mat before our arrival. Full marks for that. I had also been concerned by the prospect of climbing stairs, but managed them well enough. The cottage was light, bright and very clean . It is 5 minutes to Cullercoats Bay beach, albeit down a steep hill. There is Co-Op store 5 minutes walk in the other direction. Didn't try the Queen's Head but did go to the free jazz lunchtime session in the Cullercoats Crescent Club and was made most welcome. We would use this cottage again if the occasion shoud arise.
