Vacation rentals with a patio in Rockingham County

Good Airbnb for being close to Shenandoah. We visited over thanksgiving, so it was a little cold and we weren’t able to enjoy the river, but very beautiful area and the open area across from the home was a nice touch, especially with dogs. Owner was very responsive and easy to communicate with.

Paula was a wonderful host! She was extremely interactive and had the rental decorated for the holidays. It felt as if we were home away from home.

Sugar Opal Suites was a treat to stay at! It’s conveniently located on Rt 33 and parking is directly in front which makes unpacking a breeze. It was easy to find and get settled in quickly. We had spent most of the day outside in the upper 90° weather. The suite was exactly what we needed! It was very clean, quiet & cool with a huge enclosed porch out back overlooking the woods. The linens felt fresh and all kitchen utensils and appliances were spotless. The hosts were responsive and gracious. They have taken a thoughtful approach to the modernization, layout and design of the suite. With a unique rustic-modern feel, this is definitely a place we would stay again!

This was perfect for our family over Christmas! The place is spacious, comfortable, well-maintained, and super clean. Larisa was proactive with sending instructions and responded quickly to messages. We had a great time, and would definitely recommend staying here!

This is a very comfortable house to stay at. Virtually every thing you would need is there and well organized. The view from any window is beautiful. It’s only a short drive to Harrisonburg where there is plenty to do and see.

This is one of the best properties we have ever rented! It is a beautiful, comfortable home just a short walk from the JMU campus. Laurinda has thought of everything and there are special touches everywhere. We look forward to staying again in the future!

We had a great time at River Daze. The pictures actually don’t do the view justice. We had beautiful sunsets over the mountains and river while we were there. The house was absolutely spotless and the welcome basket was a nice touch. The Massanutten resort and the mountain were a beautiful 15 minute drive away with plenty of restaurants in the area if you don’t want to cook. The playground on the property was a nice touch for our young son AND the neighbors up the street have donkeys, goats and cows. During a short walk the goats and donkeys walked over to the fence to greet us which was an unexpected treat for my son. The hot tub and fire pit were fully functioning and a nice treat for the adults after bedtime as well. A couple of small things … the train intersection is close and the train sounds its horn (at all hours) while passing. The primary bed is also pretty squeaky . Overall a wonderful experience and we’ll be back in the summer to experience the waterfront. 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐

Though our stay was short, it was perfect! The house was beautiful and exactly as described. The added elegant touches of Christmas added to the charm and was the icing on our Mom Sleepover. We had everything we needed and more and the hosts were quick to respond to any questions prior to and during our stay. Hidden gem that we're so glad we discovered!

Have stayed here multiple times now but this visit was specifically for my daughter and son in law to enjoy a babymoon getaway. The river is easily accessible so they floated in tubes one day and took their canoe out another. They were able to take their dog as it is dog friendly. They grilled out and enjoyed the beautiful decks around the home. Resturant suggestions were layed out with local menus as well as local attractions. Luray Caverns is close by, Cooters, from Dukes of Hazards store serves a great lunch, and the drive and scenery all around is incredible. Sharon is the best host and always available by text or phone for questions. Check in and out were simple.
