Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Rockingham County

This is one of the best properties we have ever rented! It is a beautiful, comfortable home just a short walk from the JMU campus. Laurinda has thought of everything and there are special touches everywhere. We look forward to staying again in the future!

My family and I absolutely loved our stay. The house was great and the view was phenomenal. We loved the hot tub and being able to watch the stars come out from the hot tub. The river view is gorgeous. The grandson of the owner even went into the muddy part of the river to retrieve my niece’s croc when she ran into the mud and got it stuck. They were very informative and super quick to respond. We have a wonderful time.

This was without a doubt the most restful, restorative vacation of our lives. It was peaceful, beautiful, quiet, and even magical. In short, it was everything we hoped it would be and more. We will be back!

Though our stay was short, it was perfect! The house was beautiful and exactly as described. The added elegant touches of Christmas added to the charm and was the icing on our Mom Sleepover. We had everything we needed and more and the hosts were quick to respond to any questions prior to and during our stay. Hidden gem that we're so glad we discovered!

We had a great stay in Harrisonburg! The house was very clean and spacious and the pool was amazing. We will definitely be returning!

Beautiful home, very clean and comfortable. We loved the game room and the location was great. The driveway was steeper than we thought it would be based on the photos, it wasn’t an issue for us but it may be for others depending on their vehicle or comfort level.

The house was such a nice peaceful place to unwind. It was an easy drive from JMU to visit our daughter and to go to campus. Rooms were comfortable, and the house had everything we needed. Would love to stay again if we were in the area.

Went with my daughter for a several day getaway and to mainly relax-was the perfect spot for that. Views are incredible in all directions ,deer in pasture every morning,lots of birds-nice areas to hike right out the door. Home was just as advertised,well appointed with everything we needed and lots of added touches (throw blankets,binoculars)-because it is very rural we ate in and had everything we needed in the kitchen to prepare meals. Loved the gas fireplace. D was easy to communicate with,gave complete and easy to follow directions,wonderful host. We appreciated the wifi and also the landline for emergencies back home-came in handy. Very peaceful and beautiful farm!

Very homey place, plenty of space and high ceilings make it feel even bigger. Plenty of space for multiple people to stay as well as a full kitchen with spices and dishes provided. Suzy was a very polite host and I definitely consider her place, especially if you are hitting the mountains and hikes. Also the water pressure in the shower was amazing, definitely recommend here!

Very cute basement studio, homey, stylish and super clean. Location was great close to downtown, but private and in a great neighborhood. Host was very communicative, flexible and helpful. We would definitely recommend and stay again. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us!

Second time staying at Helen’s place and once again loved it. She is very responsive and made lots of helpful items available to us. Loved the place, very private walk-in basement with everything we needed.

Ruthann is responsive and lovely. Her place was clean and the property is beautiful. She gives you space if you desire so you can enjoy the place. There were little snacks out that were helpful and the kitchen had everything you need. What a lovely and serene spot!

Bella was an awesome addition to the property. She was so sweet. The space was clean & we had what we needed. The one thing that is really needed is a bedroom door for the second bedroom.

The home was perfect and clean for an overnight on our long drive home after the holiday. Nice quiet area with pretty views. Sarah was super responsive. Also helped returning my son’s beloved lion he left behind. Great stay would def stay again. Thank you!!

Nice private place, well maintained, and in a great location.

Lovely clean and well equipped private space. Comfy bed with choices of blankets. Easy to find and enter. This is a fine space for a several night stay.

Have stayed here multiple times now but this visit was specifically for my daughter and son in law to enjoy a babymoon getaway. The river is easily accessible so they floated in tubes one day and took their canoe out another. They were able to take their dog as it is dog friendly. They grilled out and enjoyed the beautiful decks around the home. Resturant suggestions were layed out with local menus as well as local attractions. Luray Caverns is close by, Cooters, from Dukes of Hazards store serves a great lunch, and the drive and scenery all around is incredible. Sharon is the best host and always available by text or phone for questions. Check in and out were simple.

Very clean, nicely furnished b&b. Beds were comfortable too. The views out the window were lovely in fall with the changing leaves. We found the stay peaceful and quiet. The apartment had everything we needed. It was a little light on supplies (e.g. detergent pods, shampoo and conditioner) but we had brought our own supplies so it wasn’t an issue.

The place does have an excellent view, and the location is perfect. It’s under 30 min from a lot of great trails, and even the immediate area is lovely to explore. The one thing I will say is that the condo is on the older side, so don’t expect fresh, new appliances. Nonetheless, everything (including the heating) works flawlessly. Patricia and Tracy were very responsive and very helpful, ready to help with whatever I needed. Another important note is all the hills, in that the condos around here are all literally built into them. Be prepared to walk uphill and put stress on your car. Other than that, there’s nothing I would change.

The place is in a good location! Found out that some of the kitchen amenities were a bit on the fritz and if you are planning on making a big dinner I would bring some extra supplies! Very communicative host though ☺️

Great place, 1st floor is excellent and makes it easy and still gives a nice view. Big bedroom, great blankets (my wife wants to find the same they were so awesome), really.... All in all GREAT PLACE and GREAT PRICE !!

We stayed 2 nights and had an amazing time. The moment we walked in we felt at home. It’s a beautiful condo!!

I loved my stay! The apartment was beautiful and had everything I needed. The location was perfect, walking distance from the lake trail, with a awesome hilltop view. I would return!
