Lakeside Cottage #4, Hot tub, Boats, Snowmobiling

KristinaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
I respect your decision. This location was a gem that I didn’t even know existed. It was our first time up in the UP and we’ve never stayed up there and we found this place on Airbnb and it was so cute clean super comfortable had a great view of a frozen lake. We had the opportunity to go on the trails from our location which was real easy. It’s conveniently located in an area where there’s some small restaurants grocery stores in Little markets. We had a great time and will be reaching out again if we come out.
A spacious living area features warm cedar paneling, complemented by a leather couch and a wooden dining table set for four. Bright lighting enhances the welcoming atmosphere, while a white refrigerator and kitchen details are visible in the background.

Lakeside Cottage #1, Hot Tubs, Boats, Snowmobiling

Beautiful spot! Enjoyed the blizzard and the hot tub. George was kind enough to follow us out because the roads hadn’t been fully plowed. He even pulled us out the ditch. Top notch, would stay here again.
The shared hot tub area features a circular hot tub illuminated by soft purple lighting, surrounded by wooden paneling. The serene atmosphere suggests a relaxing spot for unwinding after a day of activities.

Lakeside Cottage #3, Hot Tub, Boats, Snowmobiling

PaigeRating, 5 stars9 months ago
Although our stay at the cabin was a little cramped for 6 adults, it was perfect for what we needed. There is a grocery store nearby for all food needs, and bigger cities like Marquette are only an hour away. There are many waterfalls within 30 minutes that are easy access. Most amenities are provided (pots, pans, dishes) and there are some boats for the lake for the cabins. The cabin did have towels for showering, but I would bring your own for the lake and hot tub. One thing to note is the GPS does not take you to the right location, rather it takes you to a personal property down the road. Be cautious of the street addresses. There is also a non-grounded electrical cord in the coffee bar drawer for all grounded cords.

Shoreline Oasis- Wake Up to Spring’s Beauty

JohnRating, 5 stars6 months ago
We had a great stay, our second in two years. We love the feeling of being out in nature and the sense of privacy. This year our “neighbors” were two bald eagles we saw on the beach every morning while watching the sun rise over Lake Michigan. Some practical things to consider: the nearest grocery store is Jack’s in Manistique. Best to stop there before you arrive, it’s more than a short drive. And, take them seriously when they tell you to arrive during daylight! I wouldn’t want my first drive down the single-track access lane to be in the dark! If I were planning to stay there in the winter, I would check with the management company first to make sure my vehicle was up to it. When we arrived we found the EV charger not working, but we contacted the management company and they worked hard to make it right in less than 24 hours, even though it was a weekend.
A pair of wooden Adirondack chairs are positioned on a snowy patio, facing a private hot tub surrounded by tall evergreen trees. The serene outdoor space offers a peaceful retreat, with soft sunlight illuminating the area.

Deluxe Lakeside Cottage #5, Private Hot Tub & Dock

ValentinaRating, 5 stars2 days ago
In general, I really liked everything 🥹 The hot tub is just great 😍 Everything is clean and tidy, Jacqueline was very quick and clear in responding to messages. We had a problem with a tree falling on the road and no access to the house, but George fixed it literally 5 minutes after I messaged him. The only thing that was a bit of a disadvantage was the condition of the kitchen, in my opinion, it needs a little repair. But in general, this did not interfere with our vacation, so we were satisfied and I can confidently recommend this cottage to anyone who wants to be alone with nature. This place is really worth a visit!😊
A warm rustic cabin interior is highlighted by wood paneling and comfortable furnishings. A leather couch is positioned near a dining table set for six, with glassware in place. A modern kitchen area is visible, featuring a refrigerator and ample natural light from nearby windows.

Lakeside Cottage #2, Hot Tub, Boats, Snowmobiling

SpencerRating, 5 stars2 months ago
The place was great. We came for the purpose of snowmobiling. We were able to drive the sled right onto the lake from the property and take to the trails right off the lake. It was a very peaceful and beautiful spot, being right on the lake. It was very private and quiet. Only draw back we felt was that the cookware and silverware could have been better, but that would be the only thing I would have changed. Would definitely come back and would recommend the place to anyone.

My wife and I enjoyed the cabin with our dogs. The river was nice and made for a peaceful setting as well as the dogs loved playing in the river. Everything was clean when we showed up and James was very responsive to any questions we had. We will definitely be booking the cabin again.

We had a really nice time at this place. We had some trouble getting the shower to work (there was no plumbing issue — it just turned out that hot is cold and cold is hot), and Nicole responded right away to make sure we were all set. Stars were delightful at night! Overall, it was a great stay and exactly what we’d hoped. On an unrelated note: while you’re here, I highly recommend a visit to The Port Bar & Family Restaurant — a lovely local spot!

Bluegill Cottage on Big Shag Lake

KristyneRating, 5 stars2 months ago
My husband, kid, and dogs stayed here in February during the winter and fell in love! The house was super clean, Megan was super responsive, and the location could not have been better. Just 2 miles down the road from UP lodge with great food and 30 minutes from Marquette. Though I honestly enjoyed just being at the house and skiing on the dirt roads around it. Would absolutely stay here again.

Historic St. Martin Lakefront House

SueRating, 5 stars18 months ago
We came as a family of 12 and it can be difficult to accommodate all of us! This house worked great! The view out front is amazing, Lake Michigan! It was October so it was cold and windy so we weren't able to spend time outdoors here but we did lots of hiking and sight seeing so it was no problem. The large garage is a fantastic place for everyone to hang out and great for a place for the grandkids to have fun. We'd highly recommend this property! Very responsive hosts!! Thank you!

Gladstone Lakeview House Twin Oaks

LaurenRating, 5 stars8 months ago
We had such a great time during our stay at Twin Oaks. With three children 4 and under, there were plenty of spaces to sleep and play. The park is literally right across the street, as well as the beach, so the location was incredibly convenient. Made for lots of easy playtimes. Barbara was very accommodating and helpful in insuring we had everything we needed for our stay. We would definitely stay here again - our 4 year old has been asking if we could book this place again for the fall ha! Overall, this was an ideal place for our family and helped make our trip as wonderful as it was. Thank you, Barbara!

The Eh Frame Cottage

SusanRating, 5 stars8 months ago
If you are looking for a peaceful, quiet retreat in a beautiful, natural setting, the Eh Frame is the spot for you! My family had a wonderful vacation in Big Bay. We were outside for most of it, but when rain kept us in we could snuggle in the cottage with a book or enjoy a movie or, simply, the stunning view of Lake Independence. The cottage has most creature comforts but note there is no laundry, so you’ll have to visit the laundromat which is a quick drive down the road, adjacent to the general store. Fresh produce and fish, meat, etc. at this store is limited, so it’s best to do most of your grocery shopping on your way in to Big Bay, in Marquette or Houghton, for example. Ryan is a very responsive and accommodating host. We loved our stay so much we’re thinking of a repeat next summer!
The serene surface of the Menominee River reflects soft shades of pink and blue from the sunset. Lush greenery lines the far bank, providing a natural backdrop. Gentle ripples create a calm atmosphere, enhancing the tranquil, isolated setting of the water.

Spacious Lake House for Relaxing and Outdoor Fun

AnnieRating, 5 stars21 months ago
Our stay here was beautiful and peaceful. We explored the waters with the canoe and kayaks, fished on the row boat, saw amazing wildlife(sandhill cranes, bald eagles, wild turkey, and deer), relaxed in the sauna, and enjoyed many meals and games together. We also ventured out for a day in Munising for the Pictured Rocks boat tour and another day to Marquette to visit Presque Isle. The hosts were very responsive, friendly and helpful as well!

Big Pine, quick trail access Near Munising

ChristinaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
The house worked perfectly for our snowmobile group of 4 couples! Very spacious- plenty of room to hang out all together, and the lower level living room was a nice bonus. The huge mudroom was perfect for all our gear and easily accessible from the driveway where we parked our snowmobiles overnight. Plenty of parking too- all 4 trucks and trailers fit nicely. The house itself is very nice and clean, and the winter view of the lake is beautiful! Convenient location 1/2 mile from general store with gas, and very close to the trails. Highly recommend and hope to be back someday!

Sunroom, Deck & Grills: Marquette Cottage!

The location and space was great! We were looking for a small private place for us and our 1 year old, this was perfect! It was difficult to find from the coordinates and map location (please update!), however the street number and descriptions of the cabin was most useful if you watch closely at house numbers leaving Marquette then we found it.

The Lost & Found

EricRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We stayed here for a family snowmobile weekend in February and it was exactly what we wanted. Very nice place right on the lake and close to the snowmobile trail. Close to Midway General Store and a short drive to Kitchitikipi and Munising. Loved the Knotty Pine and Up North feel of the cabin. Jacqueline was very responsive and left detailed directions and recommendations. Would highly recommend.
