We had a fun time at Chris’ lake house. It was very clean, quiet, and had all the amenities as described. Hot tub (with its private surround) was enjoyable during the winter temps. Ample kitchen supplies since there aren’t any restaurants around. Make sure to get groceries beforehand!

We loved our short stay at this beautiful lakefront vacation home. It was quiet and peaceful, and it has a lovely scenic view of the lake as soon as you drive up. It definitely exceeded our expectations. We would gladly stay here again.

Rachel was a wonderful host. We went away for a girl's weekend in the mountains. We felt right at home and didn't have to worry about having the necessary tools for cooking or relaxing. She thought of everything from the little helpful tidbits in the bathrooms to the kitchen. This spot is tucked away in a quiet, private spot. Wifi was strong, and everything worked great. The hot tub was a special touch, and my pup loved running around in the snow.

Peaceful stay! Really nice hot tub + sauna and super comfortable bed! A great addition was the built in speaker you could play throughout the place. The place matches the pictures and the other reviews.

My stay at kt house was great! Cindy was an amazing host. travelled down with my dog . The stay was very comfortable and private on their 30 acre horse farm. Was able to stop down at the pavilion to cook steaks and enjoy a glass of wine at the end of our busy day in the parks. Very pet friendly with lots of animals around and a cool cat named “Dave” . Would recommend to travelers looking for a cool experience away from the parks! Will be back soon

Very lovely cottage and vacation experience, within walking distance of east coast wings and star bucks. Hot tub and fire pit were lovely additions to the cozy feeling.

We had such a wonderful stay! The cottage had a peaceful, garden-like charm that made it feel like a true retreat. The hosts were incredibly thoughtful—everything we could possibly need was provided, and the attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed. It was cozy, comfortable, and felt instantly welcoming. One of our favorite features was the wood stove. It added so much warmth (literally and emotionally!) and made the evenings feel extra special. We’d absolutely stay again and highly recommend this space to anyone looking for a calm and cozy getaway.

This place was so cozy and private but very clean and easy to get to! There were a lot of amenities that made it actually feel like a home instead of just some place to sleep. Melody was very responsive and friendly. The place was beautiful, and it was fun seeing the wildlife around such as deer. Would definitely come back in the future :)

The highlight of this stay was the gorgeous beaverdam waterfall, but the cottage is also lovely - very charming and comfortable. You can tell that Beau has put a lot of thought into making the property welcoming, and when I had an issue with the wifi router, he and Leah were very quick to address the issue, even though it was late in the evening. My dogs and I did several wonderful hikes in the Washington and Jefferson National forest, and it was nice to be able to come back to such a comfortable and relaxing space afterwards.

Had a great stay! The area around the winery is secluded and quiet. This cottage is attached to the tasting room. We were there when the actual winery was closed for the week, so not sure if there’s more traffic when it’s open. Kitchen is a little lacking in counter space, but we found everything we needed in it to make a few meals. We had more than enough space to hang out as a family of 4. Loved sitting outside on the porch to enjoy a cup of coffee. If you are traveling with little kids, or people with mobility issues, be aware of the spiral staircase to get to the rooms upstairs - this was not a surprise for us and we were fine with it. Only wish we had had some options to get food delivered, but not a big deal if you plan for it. Also, as mentioned in the description, there are a few beetles/bugs in the house, guessing because of the wooded location. Again, nothing that would change our minds about staying here. The cabin is rustic and feels like it is miles away even though it is only 15 minutes or so from town. Very nice surroundings and cozy. The hosts are hospitable and very accommodating. We would stay again for sure!

Anna and Bill’s place was perfect. It is such a nice, spacious place on the river, with an incredible porch for hanging out on a lovely day like we had. They were also super responsive. Couldn’t recommend this more for anyone like us getting out of the city and spending time in West Virginia.

The cottage was adorable! My kids and I stayed while we attended CFAW at Library University. The location was perfect in proximity to the campus! The hostesses were very helpful; from booking the place, all the way to checkout. The cottage was very cozy but had every amenity we needed. It was clean and smelled nice when we arrived. Checking in was a breeze! I would definitely recommend staying at the cottage if you plan to be in the Lynchburg area.

This cottage was perfect for our weekend in Lewisburg, we would definitely stay again! It is cozy, comfortable and so convenient to the downtown shops and restaurants. The kitchen is compact but has all the amenities of a full size kitchen. The decor is tastefully done and feels right at home in the cottage atmosphere. Our only regret is it wasn't nice enough to enjoy the outdoor spaces.

The Maury Treehouse was a dream! The house is spectacular and carefully thought out. The view is worth every penny! To walk outside and immediately hear the sound of the river is like nothing I’ve ever experienced. The owners have done a wonderful job of making this place a true country-side oasis. My personal favorite was the automatic blinds in the master suite. We traveled with our two children over Spring Break, and found pure joy in sitting by the river and fishing, admiring the wildlife, and enjoying the fire pit. We hope to be back in the fall to take in all the pretty colors once the leave change. Thank you for a great stay!

We had a delightful stay. The locale was very quiet and private, which we enjoyed. Know that it is fairly remote and that the road up to the cabin is not a public road and is somewhat steep. We were in a sedan, which navigated the road fine, but I would have been concerned about traction if there were heavy rain. You'll also want to stock up on food on your way toward the cabin. If you're looking for a peaceful and remote place that is comfy, this definitely would fit the bill. We really enjoyed the hiking trail on Buffalo Mountain nearby.

What a beautiful stay! Truly a one of a kind location! I miss it already! I will be back again for another peaceful stay. Close to many great trials and Lynchburg was a really unique town, not far from the property at all. Highly recommend!

We stayed at this quaint little cottage when we visited VA for the Martinsville NASCAR race. We enjoyed the peace of the cottage. The neighbors were sweet. We travelled into Floyd to hear Saturday night live music at the Floyd Country Store and had breakfast at the Blue Ridge Diner (10/10 recommend!!) The cottage was clean and quaint. We had all the amenities we needed and visited the local grocery store a few miles up the road. A quaint little town to get away from the hustle and bustle!

The cottage on the river was the perfect escape that we needed! We wanted the true feeling of a West Virginia vacation with not so many tourists and this was it and more! We’re planning on returning in different seasons!
