Jordan was a fabulous host his communication from start to finish was so friendly and prompt and the flat was exactly as described , beautifully presented and immaculate . The views over the Tyne are lovely and it is about a 30 minute walk along to the great bars and restaurants along the quayside so you are away from the bustle in a quiet residential area . We were there for the unforgettable Caraboa Cup celebrations and could easily walk up into town , one of my highlights was a run along the quayside seeing the iconic landmarks in the early morning . Thank you Jordan for the thoughtful goodies on arrival ! Highly recommend this stylish and comfortable property and we hope to make a return visit .

Allaoua was very nice and easy to contact and would respond promptly to any questions we had. He went over everything when we got there and it was great for our family of 8. We even hosted a family of 5 for dinner one night and there was plenty of space for all 13 of us! Highly recommend! Lots of nearby restaurants/grocery store/beach!

Fantastic apartment that has recently been refurbished and the pool table is a nice touch. The photos don't really do it justice as it is much bigger and airier than it looks on the advertisement. Comfy beds and the place was spotlessly clean. Tina responded quickly to any queries we had. With regards to parking, you may not always get parked directly outside, but there was always somewhere to park nearby - and for free. The beach is a few minutes walk down steps and nearly each room in the apartment has a sea view! There are plenty of restaurants, bars and cafes within a few minutes walk - the Thai fusion restaurant - Coco & Rum was particularly good. We'll definitely be booking Sandy View apartment again in the near future. Highly recommended!

This cottage is immaculate with high end appliances , comfortable furniture and a very comfortable, huge bed . The location is very peaceful beside the river with lots of bird life around . Emma provided good information about access and parking . This is the best Airbnb we’ve stayed in -“ hidden gem” is widely used in reviews and this place truly is . Thanks Emma for your hospitality and kindness . We will return and stay longer next time 😊

As a family of 4 including two tweens needing to get off their gadgets, we have LOVED this stay. The views and comfort of the house are phenomenal. As well as sightseeing, we made time just to chill at the house and enjoy time at the reservoir away from it all. This was made possible because the hosts have literally thought of everything and the layout of the house is brilliant for socialising together. The bedrooms are super comfy, the kitchen has everything and there are some nice perks like the log fire, underfloor heating and unbeatable views that just make the house so enjoyable to be in. We took mountain bikes and glad we did, there are endless well kept trails for walking and cycling right from the door and a great park for kids within a healthy walking distance. Communication and information provided were fab, and we will go back for sure!

Lovely building. Plenty of space. Well decorated, uptodate-loved the master and kitchen. Very comfortable supportive beds. Downsides-no window covering in attic bedroom and some steep stairs with no handrail made it awkward for the children and upstairs WC very cosy but functional. Fab walks along the seafront/promenade. Beach 10 mins walk away-very big. Watch your step as dog poop galore-nothing to do with house owners but a shame. Walk the other way and great architecture and views across the working harbour. Host very communicative on a couple of slight issues. Recommended and hope to be back.

Stylish, spacious, very comfortable house in quiet setting with peaceful Marina views. Bright and light because of the big windows at the back. Exactly what it says ‘on the tin’. Had a relaxing 2 nights here and plan to come again when visiting family in Newcastle.

Peaceful quiet location. Near train station. Clean . Generally well equipped, although a few bits of cutlery and crockery missing but nothing major. Comfortable beds, pillows not to my personal preference as very hard, but overall an excellent stay and I would not hesitate to stay again and would recommend.

Kate was amazing, super helpful and very quick with replies when asking any questions, her instructions are clear and easy to follow, the location is perfect and absolutely stunning very easy to find and get to, The house was spotless and comfortable and has everything you need for an easy stay, I would highly recommend staying more than one night as there is so much around to do and it is truly stunning location Thank you Kate for having us and for being so accommodating

Beautifully renovated historic home off the beaten path. A stone’s throw from a lovely pub with upscale dining and a short walk from another homey pub with traditional fare. Set in the glorious dales and a quick drive from the Lakes District. Lots of trails right outside the door. Incredibly cozy with room to spread out, most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in and a well-stocked kitchen. Made a great base camp for everything the area has to offer.

This was a return visit as we enjoyed it so much last year. A fantastic location for the great outdoors, with a variety of great walks from the door. Plenty of space for our party of 6 adults with a well equipped kitchen-diner and a comfortable lounge. Two good pubs within 100m, both with a warm welcome, good food and great beer. We will return again.

What a lovely flat great size for our family of four, nice and clean comfy beds nice living area and kitchen with everything you’ll need. The views from the living room looking onto the seafront are stunning with a very nice beach. Plenty of nice places to eat and drink out. Great location overlooking the beach, really nice kitchen / living space which makes the most of the fantastic view. We caught the train, apartment is an easy 15 minute walk from the metro station - walk the last bit through Roker Park, it's very pleasant.

We had a wonderful stay at the Seaview Penthouse, the beds were super comfy, the place was modern, cosy and spotlessly clean. We would definitely return here, it was beautiful to look out onto the sea every morning from our bedroom window. It also helped we had amazing weather for April! Thoroughly recommend The Lamp Room for breakfast, though do book if you can as it's super popular. Easy access to the Park & Ride for Durham and for visiting family in Sunderland, and collecting seaglass on the beach just down from the property is a great way to while away an hour or so. Communication from Melanie was prompt and she gave us plenty of info about the place in advance. Thank you again Melanie! We hope to come again soon!

a fabulous apartment with a great host, in an really good location with a fresh selection of restaurants withun 10 min walk as well as supermarkets and other shops. Well equipped kitchen, and good coffee. loved the balcony with a view over the marina. This was my third stay so that should tell you how awesome I think it is.

What a lovely apartment to stay in Durham! Chris was so nice to meet me there and show me everything with the apartment. The apartment is all new, very comfortable, with a beautiful peaceful setting on the river! He even bought me some food to get me through the mornings. It was so conveniently located to the town. I had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this apartment!

Amazing stay - we really felt right at home! The home was so clean and had absolutely everything we needed. Check in was easy and flexible. The location is perfect, so much to do in the surrounding areas and some really pretty walks nearby. We’ll definitely be staying again and have already looked at available dates. Honestly we couldn’t recommend this place enough!

Excellent location. A lovely flat walk to Toon. Sunday Market is great. Balcony fab for coffee and people watching. Very clean and tidy apartment. powerful showers. Citylink bus is regular and a minute walk away. Pub underneath is friendly and the food is good. Just remember to bring first night supplies. Nearest convenience shop is 20 min walk.
