Great place, the peace & quiet was exactly what we were looking for. Already planning our next stay!

The cottage exceeded our expectations in every way. It was a perfect place to spend a lazy day cowering from bad weather; stylish, cosy with a good TV and lots of games. The furniture and the beds were very comfortable. Tobermory is the best Airbnb we have stayed in with the every amenity provided to make your stay a success. Tideswell is a friendly place with good places to eat and ideally located for walks and nearby attractions. We particularly enjoyed the Monsal Trail, parking at Millers Dale and using the excellent cafe for lunch. Knowing that Stuart lives nearby was reassuring should we have a query. We are already discussing when we could visit again.

We have just returned from a lovely week at Stuart's cottage. It was the perfect spot for our week away with friends and family. The cottage is very welcoming and beautifully decorated. It was also lovely to use the woodburners for those extra cosy evenings. The cottage was lovely and clean and it felt like home away from home. lots of pretty walks straight from the door as well as a bakery, pubs and a couple of fish and chips shops down in the village...and a co-op! All in all a great week away and we fully recommend.

Myself and my partner had a lovely stay! Super quiet and peaceful, with a lovely local pub just around the corner and a short drive from bakewell. We will definitely be back in the summer, would recommend staying here if you need a little break. Thank you so much!

Really happy with our stay at the Lodge and amazing communication from Pip, the host. As a couple that enjoys hiking, we found many trails such as one directed behind the property leading towards Marsden Moor and the Reservoir which was perfect. The hot tub was a few steps away from the lodge, hidden with a lovely view of the village. Would happily stay here again but definitely worth noting down that the road to the lodge is very steep, especially on foot!

Little Lilac Cottage is adorable & has everything you need. The cottage was clean, cosy & felt welcoming, especially with all the Christmas lights. The location is brilliant, a couple of minutes walk from everything in Castleton. We didn’t go hiking this time but plan to return as there are some great walks nearby. Would highly recommend 😊
