We had a great stay and would definitely recommend this listing. Pamela was a very attentive host, making a birthday getaway very special and making sure we had everything we needed throughout the stay. The place is in a great location for getting around Bakewell by foot and was very fairly priced.

The perfect winter weekend getaway! This cozy cottage is situated in the most picturesque setting amongst the rolling hills of the Peak District, the ideal city break. The cottage is well equipped with everything you need, from coffee pods for the coffee machine to a dishwasher, they have it all. The hosts are super welcoming and go the extra mile to ensure you enjoy your stay - we arrived to a stunning welcome basket and card and banner for our friends birthday! Blakelow Farm was one for the books!

The property was really lovely and in a great position just outside Bakewell. Parking was a bonus and it was really easy to find. The host didn’t have anyone booked in after us so kindly enabled us to check out at mid day which was much nicer.

We really like the place, it was a very nice and peaceful little place. We loved the vibe and Soozey and J were very nice giving us all the instructions to get there. The place seems to have a pretty story of hard work and love. Thank you for sharing that with us.

We had a lovely weekend getaway with the family, we really enjoyed the surroundings and discovering the stunning views. A very memorable trip for us for sure and would come back for sure in the spring/summer. The house is super cozy and warm we enjoyed cooking there, having meals and having memorable time together and making memories. It was a true English experience and everyone enjoy their time . The location is very close to the station so it is easy to get in and out. I wish we had more time to explore. Glenys was a super welcoming host she made us feel at home and we thank her for her hospitality and attention to details. We hope to visit again soon.

We had a lovely stay at Ruth's cottage, we felt really welcome and at home. Ruth had lots of information about local walks, pubs, restaurants etc and was really responsive to messages. We stayed over Christmas and Ruth had decorated the cottage with Christmas decorations which was a really lovely added touch. We had a fantastic break and would definitely stay again.

A beautiful cottage, spotlessly clean with every amenity needed for a few days away. Spacious, well equipped kitchen and cosy lounge with log burner.Found it great with having dogs as there are two enclosed gardens and walks literally on the doorstep.Lots of doggy essentials provided including treats and a water bowl (which we forgot to pack, so thank you!). Great communication with the host too. We loved it!

Rosie's cottage in Youlgreave is perfect. I'm a very fussy guest - last Christmas I actually immediately drove back home after entering a cottage which was cobwebby, spidery and unclean - lost £900 that week! This cottage is spotless and beautifully decorated. Really peaceful surroundings, friendly village, and one of the best views out of the lounge and bedroom windows we've ever seen. Thank you also for the doggy supplies - we didn't use them, but it's good to know if we had forgotten towels/treats/shampoo etc, they were there for us to use. We'll definitely be going back sometime soon. Thank you for a lovely stay.
