Vacation rentals in Riccall

We loved our stay at Swift Lodge. So much so that we are going to book again for next year. Francesca was a great host and made sure that we were well informed about everything we needed. The weather wasn't kind to us as we were there in very cold and wet weather, but the lodge was so cosy and warm. It had everything we needed for the weekend. We still got to explore the area and saw lots of birdlife, swans, deer, hedgehogs to name a few. Fantastic views even in the rain so we can't wait to see it again (hopefully with a bit of sunshine). Fishing will definitely be on the list for next time also. There is a nice village pub a couple of minutes down the road where we had a lovely meal. All in all a brilliant weekend and great value for money. Thanks Francesca 😊

Me and my boyfriend had an amazing stay celebrating his 30th birthday. ( Lee provided balloons and banners which was a lovely extra touch.)The location was beautiful and secluded. The hot tub was very relaxing and to wake up within the trees to the birds singing was fantastic after a great sleep! It was just what we needed. The cabin had everything facility wise that we needed to cook/drink etc. We definitely return to this stunning place, we wanted to stay longer! Thanks Lee!

Such a beautifully appointed little house in a great spot - we were on a short break to explore a bit of Yorkshire we'd not been to before, and this was the perfect base for our family. Kids were delighted with their bedroom at the top of the house and we found the main bedroom comfortable and spacious. The kitchen was spotless and had everything we needed to cook a couple of simple meals. We'd recommended Lindsey's house for sure!

Had a wonderful 2 nights stay at Bumblebee cottage. The cottage is exactly as the photographs. The location was perfect for us. Very peaceful and a good distance off the main road (which is what we wanted) but within easy distance to Harrogate in a taxi (£20 for 4 of us). I would highly recommend this cottage for anyone wanting to have the best of both worlds, peace and tranquillity and a bustling town for shopping, eating and drinking. Our host Mollie was very good, she messaged me before with all the details we needed to park our cars and find the entry key.

The pictures - gorgeous as they are - don't do this property justice. The setting is private, tranquil, and everything one could hope for an escape to the Yorkshire countryside. Philippa and Andrew were welcoming and very responsive, and even treated us to a lovely and appreciated baked surprise upon our arrival! The location was convenient for our forays to the Dales, the Moors, and the city of York where we got to enjoy a wonderful Christmas Market. For Bronte fans, the Bronte Parsonage is not far, nor was the town of Grassington where the current "All Creatures Great and Small" series is filmed (the fictitious town of Darrowby). York is about a 40-45 minute drive. The farm next door sells fresh free range eggs, the ton pub is about a 10-15 minute walk from the house. Everything in the house was modern and clean, and the large dining table meant we could entertain guests. I literally cannot think of any way it could have been better. Best of hosts and best of houses!

A really lovely house, immaculately kept and in a brilliant location for enjoying all York has to offer without the need of a car. Everything we needed was to hand, and the owners were easy to communicate with, and had left useful and friendly instructions. My sons and I had a great few days, and I'll be recommending this house on to family and friends (and hopefully I'll be back there again myself!).

Nice and cosy flat with everything we needed in a great area with the ease of walking to the shops. We would definitely recommend and would love to go back to Harrogate.

Catherine’s place was a gem of a find. My wife and I come to York every year for our wedding anniversary and stay in an air BnB and Catherine’s has to be one of the best ones so far, if not the best. This is so peaceful here, parking is just opposite the apartment and it’s only a short walk into town, it’s just great. Catherine was always very responsive when contacted.

A clean, well equipped and beautifully decorated cosy lodge in a peaceful and unique setting. Easy to find with parking right outside. A 10 minute walk takes you right into the centre of Ripon where there are plenty of shops, museums, cafes, pubs and takeaways. Also a great base if you want to explore a bit further afield. We visited York using the ‘park and ride’ which was approximately a 25 minute drive away. A very relaxing few days away. Excellent communication with host before and during our stay. Would love to return again and would definitely recommend.
